This information is super helpful. I’ve lived in Columbia for sometime and I didn’t realize a lot of the different places to go visit . I’m going to share this channel with all my friends.
Great insight and super helpful info! I'm glad you made the change, so I don't have to visit CA anymore to see the family! Also, you're church is legit! Can't wait to eat at Puckett's again, too.
That’s exciting! I have friends and family in Texas as well. I hope you got something out of the video. :) Thanks for watching. I’d love to hear more about your move. May I interview to be your agent when you pull the trigger?
Hey Greg! Thanks for watching. I get it. Some of the left coasters really aren’t bringing the best things. But, some of us are all about keeping and cultivating this culture and history. Hopefully you meet some of us and can understand it’s because we relate and love this place that we come here. Sorry you’ve had the bad experiences. Thanks again for stopping by my channel.
I’m so glad I found your video ! My kids are moving there next week with their young family of 5 from California !! They are looking for a homeschool association and a church ….can you recommend ? (Sounds just like what your family did )
You are most welcome! I would love to make a recommendation for church, home school co op and anything else you guys might need! Feel free to email me at brianatkins.re@gmail.com
Columbia has sufferered an insane continuous population boom for 30 year in a row since saturn and GM. We don't have the schools or rds to support the thousands of new homes, apts and condos going up. It has lost it's charm and those cool old historic sites are fading fast and now have tacky condos and housing at the property lines surrounding the sites ruining the look and charm. Also, it's about 70% implants now so you wont find as much southern hospitality as you would 40 yrs ago and the crime went up w/ the implants of course. You must sell real estate
Hi WanderingWeh, Thanks for the comment. I have been in real estate for a long time. I came from a small town that experienced the same changes. I’m sure from your perspective it’s lost charm and changed negatively. Yes there are many coming in from other places and I’m sure it’s added to some riffraff. That said, it’s still special, beautiful, charming, welcoming and as all places do, changing. With all due respect I’d like remain positive. Change brings both good and bad but that goes for any place you will ever live. I’ve lived all over. If you ever leave you may become the “implant” that people don’t like but my perspective and experience has been that the people coming here (for the most part) are a lot like the people here. They are seeking good communities, good people and beauty. A positive heart welcomes people and helps them to conform to what is Good. A negative outlook only creates division and tension. I don’t sell real estate. It sells itself. ;) Thanks for watching if you did. :)
@@LivingInColumbiaTennessee once it's gone it is gone. You can't undo the mass construction. It is sad. But I understand you're in it for the money it's hot real estate as I said its been hot for over 30 yrs here ... check out the population growth every decade since 1980 it's insane growth.
Good video but stop telling people about us. The more people move here the more prices will go up and then we won’t be high on those lists anymore for affordability.
Hi Luke! Thanks for checking out the video. I hope you enjoyed it. People ask me about Columbia all the time. I agree, we don’t want to see this amazing community changed in a bad way. That said, most of the folks moving here are just like you and I. They appreciate small community and are like minded people.
They might be like minded but they are coming in DROVES and driving property costs thru the roof. And you say they are like minded but little by little all middle Tennessee towns are going blue. And that isn’t because of the locals. Just do a quick google search of the party affiliation of all the local mayors. We will go the way of California soon enough.
I hear you Luke! We can only hope and pray that the folks rolling in will spread out and contribute to the community. All I can say is that moving to Columbia has been life changing for me and my fam. Hope to see you around town!
I think he's a used real estate saleman. It's sad. It's not just the prices but the traffic and ugly amount of insane apts and condos... these real estate saleman that think they just discovered something can't paint the whole picture.. it's 70% implants now... keeping it real

It’s all adding up. Just need God to provide a job. Sadly, Cali just passed two awful bills last week that are pushing us out…
