Wild camped up Kinder Scout many times, but never used Jacobs ladder to get there, as it seems to busy for me. However after watching this video, I might just try it on a week day me thinks! Thankyou for sharing!
@@unowhotravelchannel yes we did the walk he loved it even though he did struggle a little and I definitely enjoyed my pint in the Nags Head at the end of the walk I am taking him back there soon to walk Mam Tor
Hi guys! Wow! Another stunning view! Kinder Scout is so beautiful. Loved the waterfall. Fantastic share my sweet friends as always. Happy Monday. Hugs and blessings to you. Have a beautiful day guys!🥰❤️❤️🌻🌻🌻
Fantastic hike and stunning place really enjoyed this video sledgehammered that like button stay safe awesome and blessed looking forward to the next adventure
Great walking video Simon. You captured some awesome shots there and some cool ones of Elaine amid the landscape. It's easily a pig mate. Enjoyable. Thanks. Mark
Hello, my dearest friends! This is absolytely a perfect place for a fantastic hike!! Waterfall, amazing sceneries and views... Very enjoyable to watch! Big embrace and all the best to you! Ciao! Renata
We are hiking kinder scout tomorrow for the first time and doing it via Jacobs Ladder. Would love to do the same route as yourself. Do you have anything mapped out for this route that you could kindly send? Many thanks
Sorry for the late reply, I'm sorry I don't think we have, however, if you google this walk and include Jacob's Ladder too, you should come up with a online route!
www.10adventures.com/hikes/peak-district-national-park/kinder-scout/ for those interested in doing this and it says signage is "poor" A close encounter of the steer kind Seems a lot of ups lol 11:11 is a great shot Dragon :-)
That's the very same guide and map we used! The warnings were clear, should have listened...my boots still stink from the peat and mud! Dragon? Good point...
Hello Elaine & Simon ! That’s quite a mountain to climb and I can imagine all the work it took to build those rocks stairs . The fall was beautiful and seeing Elaine sitting on that big rock we can imagine it was strenuous, must of eaten energy bars and water to keep up . I am a bit jealous seeing you hiking like this ...we would never be able to do so ...😢 Hélène has a bad knee and can hardly walk sometimes. The view up there was great seeing so far ! I think we have the same GPS ...Garmin Montana ... Hope you have a wonderful week take care ! H&S 👩❤️👨🌈 From Boisbriand Québec Canada 🇨🇦
I've tried 6 times to get to the top of Kinder but each time I am crippled with a fear of hights and exposure as I near the top, I so badly want to get to the top. I have no idea why I get so scared! A whole year I have been coming back from London to try again and again but each time it gets me 😢
I love Kinder Scout and your video has captured it perfectly. That side of Kinder is definitely a busy one in the summer and boggy all year round! Have you tried the northern side of Kinder? It’s equally as beautiful and much less busy. I walked there last weekend up via Fairbrook which is stunning due to the waterfalls etc
unowho travel channel no worries. Let me know if you want and ideas on Peak District hiking locations. I’ve subscribed to your channel so I can watch your other content and get some ideas myself 👍
You really have to get creative these days to avoid the crowds. Oh man, we love these little towns. You guys have inspired us to find more trails around here. Those are some impressive views of Manchester.
Maria and Nabol Thanks guys, we’ve also just got back from the Lake District in England where we’ve done some serious hill walking, some more high views to share in coming weeks👍
Well, this looks like an excellent hike. It was a fantastic video, my friends! Please tell me, who arranges these tourist paths? I was amazed to see that most of it was paved. Such beautiful view from above! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe on your travels...Greetings!
too crowded for me, try weekday instead. Went hayfield to edale 60 yrs ago, jacobs ladder was just rubble, looks more of a crazy paving stairway now. whoever allowed bikes on the hiking trails is a fool.
Lovely video, thank you for sharing, really inspired us for our next adventure, could I ask if you remember approximately how many miles and how long did it take you to complete the walk? Thank you!
That route is around 16km and takes around 4-5 hours depending on how hard you push it. Great walk - I’d recommend anti-clockwise though to give you a quicker ascent, more sedate decent.
Fantastic vid!

A picnic site with a view and a half!

decades ago I saw a lizard at Jacobs ladder
No lizards for us, only cows! Thanks so much for watching...

Ha ha cheers Mark, someone's thrown Dragon into the mix in the comments, its so a pig! Thanks for the kind comments, Simon
@@unowhotravelchannel A pleasure Si. A dragon? Gotta be fooling it's a pig as you rightly state.

All my old haunts. The downfall is stunning at any time, but even more so when it blows back. Great video and bringing back some memories for us
Ah nice to hear, we picked a great weather day too to do Kinder, loved it!

I think everyone who tries to cross the top of the plateau at top of Kinder gets lost at one time or another (and wet).

Dogs?
Are they allowed?
We camped in a tent at the site in Edale at the start of the walk, could not find a none sloping place to sleep.
Oh no, like sleeping on a slide!
Thanks for sharing. Have you every thought about figuring up how far you've walked? Full view and Like.

on the boggy part it does need better path signage to avoid getting lost ,it is a real danger to the public
