what about the 2 foot error in both this video and the previous?

Dickson queyartey and neil kynaston: I found the 5 Part video to be very informative and well presented, but not without some "blunders" of its own.
To calculate percent of slope = (Rise/Run) x 100. The change in elevation between Station 0+00 (ditch) and Station 7+00 (pond) is 2.50 feet. The formula above would then yield (2.50/700) x 100 = 0.36%.
Also, my guess is that the elevation of BM "B" was supposed to be 597.65 and not 595.65 as shown. I would go and field verify that myself if I only knew where in Illinois that benchmark was located.

I agree with this as the closing error is confirmed as 0.02 not 2.02! - however, the principle is still good - thank you for a decent explanatory video.

4:20, how do you measure the location of those points from the origin? Just a long tape?

Thank you for the video! I liked the explanation! I still have a question. Where I use the closed loop circuit? Do you recommend a book where I can read more about it? Thank you!

Very refreshing, Please comment on my method,
I did a level run on the LNG tank for settlement when the tank was subjected to hydrostatic test, 4 times , when tank was empty, 1/4 full, , 1/2 full3/4 full and final.
We had 16 brass plates embedded equally place around the periphery in the outer projected base of the tank which was 65 mts in dia, I had to shift the instrument 4 times.to around the tank. When ever I shafted the instrument I manage to set in almost mid way so that instrument error was minimised and I fixed a measuring tape in miimeters of good quality matching the graduations, ( between 0.6 mts to 2.00 mts, where max staff reading s are taken) of the level staff graduated in mts ( to avoid observation errors ), so that I could read to last mm. When I ran to and back fly levels most of the times I never got any closing error except a couple of times with + 2 mm
I feel these are some tricks of the trade

Thank you for educative elaboration, but one thing I didn't understand, why do we need to have TP point .why we couldn't continue with sta.6..7..8...etc. instead

    Isn't your closure error +2.02' (597.67 - 595.65)?

Or I am confused or you make me confuse. Why that damn deduction at beginning doesn’t let me follow the rest. And he focus on the error And mistakes and self confidence. Is anyone can tell me is 2 + 4 is 8? Or if you don’t I kill myself. My mind deeply confused! I can not think anymore. Please reset me again. I am begging you?!
