Oh to be young. To get out in that frozen weather you are more a man than me. But then again I'm 63 and live in Tennessee. Great video guys and great finds. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you for getting out there and busting ur butt in the cold to have fun and entertain us in the winter and make our fridays awesome!
Congrats Mike on your first Large Cent. What a great hunt. The bell was probably my favorite out of all the amazing finds. Your scenery shots were beautiful. I could almost feel and smell the cold Vermont Mountain air watching this episode. Thanks for sharing, stay warm and take care.
That ice is needle ice. Just found it all over OH recently. Forms via capillary action when your ground is warmer than the air, and ground water starts freezing. Neat stuff.
Yep. Similar to frost flowers that we get here in certain spots around SW Missouri, also during deer season. Wish I could post a picture here, they are quite spectacular.
Here in 1960s in North Alabama used to see frost heave... straight clumps of needles coming up out of the clay. I wonder if they were the same process?
That shot you did of the camera down next to the ice was awesome
Another visually pleasing video and a fantastic hunt! A large cent bonanza! The bell and the whizzer were fantastic and that old horse tack buckle was great! Thank you for taking us along!
Great Job! A very nice little bell. Thanks for sharing and a nice sunny weekend!
That is incredible to find that many large cents, in the middle of know where! Fantastic video as usual!👍
Your videos are yucky and boring. I'd rather watch Nora she finds interesting things and she looks a lot better in her swim top.
Another great video guys, and venturing out into that COLD! Some fantastic finds as well! I hope to find an old coin sometime. See you on the next round!
Under the circumstances I wouldn't have thought you'd have found much special at all - but just shows, despite the cold your equipment held up so you found loads of great stuff - super bell & coins! Have to return in spring! Nearly here! 😉❄🍁🐾👍
Those large cents are the stars of this video, but - Wow, those ice crystals were really cool! That's an incredible phenomenon
Great treasure! Wonderful treasures out there from Mother Nature too! Love the little bell! Thanks for taking us along! HH
Thank you for taking me on a winter hike from my warm bed in south Texas.
Great finds and, as always, excellent video of beautiful Vermont.
HAPPY TO TO SEE YOU BOTH BUT ITS NOT WORTH FREEZIN GUYS. GREAT FINDS, LOVE YOUR COUNTRY SIDE, ICICLES AND LOVELY PLACES. SEE YOU WHEN WARMER 😀 THANKS AMAZING.
CAMILLE AUSTRALIA 💜💜
Nice video, I like the way you stop and show the detail to nature, it is good to see.
Great finds! Thanks for sharing. Totally enjoyed. Can't wait for snow to go..
Hi, wow you made me feel cold just sat watching lol, Great 1st copper Mike congrats. I love the logo metal you found, there must be a way to make that into a pin and put it on your jacket or bag. Some really cool finds, the bell was really cool, an awesome hunt by you both and kudos for going out in the first place. Thanks for sharing. x
The ice comes from water being in the unfrozen ground, Cold weather pulls out the water while freezing and nature has an amazing way of making it look beautiful
Thanks for the explanation. I figured it had to be something like that but to get a chance to see up close is special
So glad you didn’t step on it. Mother Nature showing off her stuff for only a lucky few to see 😊
Love the time you take for the intro and through out the videos to show the beautiful scenery. Very artistic!
Awesome video guys and some really gret finds.
Loved the bell ! Thanks for sharing. Keep warm !
Nice winter hunt guys! Thanks for taking the time to make this video for us.
You should start a large cent book and try to fill it with all the large cents you find.
Never disappointed watching your videos, love the scenery as well as the metal detecting. And them ice crystals far out never seen anything like it and all my times in the woods
Great finds all the way around, but that big brass buckle!! Yowsa!!!!! Dunno what the ice formations are, but I'd call em SPECTACULAR 🤩
Super finds! And as always, beautiful scenery.
Frozen Mushroom? Maybe if you had a brief warm spell. Nice bag of coins guys. By the way, the 36 caliber balls you are finding are from squirrel guns of the era. My suggestion for your battery issue would be to pack a thermos of coffee and another hand warmer in a day pack and keep the camera in there with them till you want to shoot. That should extend your battery life.
I thought it looks like some kind of fungus as well especially with the black looking much all at the base.
I put a thermos of coffee in my camera bag too! Thought I was being crafty with that one, lol
How ironic with the "logo" find. Love the buckle & the bell complete. Coppers galore! Your video editing is awesome. That ice is absolutely amazing. Thanks for treking in the cold nice video. HH
1st things 1st, Congratulations Mike on your Copper, Sweet.
Lucky #7 total Coppers
Buckle, spoon, bells, buttons, Logo, Wow
Last but not least the elusive rare seldom photographed Vermont Ice Cactus 😎
Great finds guys! That's Awesome! And that ice is what they call needle ice. So cool you found some because I know you take some awesome photos, so you now have some of the cool needle ice. lol.
I can definitely hear the cold in your voice 😎your both nuts but that's why I like you. Wondering how Ed is doing I hope he's good. Y'all be carful & see you asap 👍🏻
This is not the kind of "Pile" I'm used to finding in the woods and I usually find mine with a Boot, not a metal detector. Great video.
You guys did great...good for you! That haul was worth the cold!!!
Awesome you are blessed my friend, always happy watching makes me feel like I'm there
That ice formation was really cool!!! Cant even wrap my imagination around that one!!! Looked like a dead skunk hahah
AWSOME finds.
So glad yall got out and about.
Thanks for bringing me along.
What a place! You definitely need to hit that again.
Nice finds guys!! Love watching your videos. Catch believe all those coin finds in a single hunt. Sweet!!! Happy Hunting
Perfect timing again my friend.
I’m at work ✌🏻😂
Happy Huntings
Tennessee Adventures
Great finds despite the frigid conditions.
You really have an eye for photography. Well done.
I don’t know anything about metal detecting but I love your videos. You seem like a very caring and personable host. Keep selling me!!
Today we have a video of #HighToneMike and #HighToneBrad! I totally understand digging those when it's cold. Not to mention the abundance of high tone targets. Well done.
You guys had some really great finds! Congrats to Mike on his first large cent! And thanks, as always, for the beautiful scenery shots. The ice was awesome! Stay safe and keep warm!
That,s cold? Wearing a ball cap and digging the ground in winter!!! Come on over to Minnesota!!!! We won't be digging the frozen ground for quite some time.. Love watching though!!!
Yes, that's cold! I went camping in Western Arizona this weekend. 74 in the daytime, 48 at night. Anytime frozen water falls from the sky, it's too cold for me!!
Amazing finds! And that ice! Fantastic stuff! Thanks😊
I've been through some real bad winters while growing up in Michigan. I've never seen ice like that before either bro! So weird but incredibly amazing! Gods creations of this entire world are truly jaw dropping and amazing. I'm glad you got to video something like that and show it to us subs. Thanks man
We see ice like that all over the Adirondacks. I have no idea what causes it.
Thanks for another great adventure.
You have such a nice mild winter in Vermont. Yesterday it warmed up to minus 21C. We were thrilled. I live in Regina, Sakatchewan Canada. In February we had 3 nights that went down to minus -47C. Our soil freezes solid to a depth of 6 or 7 feet. Betty from Canada 😉😉
It is nice you go out in the middle of the woods to find yourself as a piece of lead. Nice coins. Keep warm and thanks Brad and Mike.
Hey there, the ice you found we have the exact same thing on our property here in Alaska . We call it frost heaves. Once all the snow melts and we can see the ground we see those crystals right under the surface breaking through that sometimes are over a foot long and they push up the surface Of the ground or even roads. They can cause a lot a havoc up here. Nice find
That's AMA hardcore metal detecting there and 20゚ for over 5 hours, wow! Great finds
Awesome finds, Thanks for braving the cold to keep us pumped about detecting.
wow, great finds guys, congrats. love the bell.
I don't even bother to watch other metal detecting channels on You Tube anymore, Good job on the finds.
Congrats, Brad! Excellent haul. Still "the bell whisperer." Down here the ground's all clay so it freezes hard as stone at like 28ºF. HH.
Great digs! Those sites are hard to come by. Looking forward to when you revisit this site!
Who but you guys can venture out into the frozen puckerbrush on a wintery November day and come up with a pocket full of largies! Too amazing!
The ice is a frozen "splash" it is caused by water dripping force fully causing a thinning splash and freezing as it climbs up the splash. Great video, you crazy guys. Going out when it is so cold. 😱
Yup, you said it....."unbelievable"....stay warm!
Excellent production. Congratulations on the discoveries. You were killing it. What at site, dream day for us detectorist in terms of finds. Thanks for braving the conditions.
Brad, Watching your videos brings back memories of my 20 years detecting while living in Southern Vermont......cellar holes, farm fields, old muster fields and tavern sites and the Military Road from Charlestown NH westward...Spending all day outside with my wife detecting from Westminster, Putney, Brattleboro, BenningtonYour finds are awesome. On the days my wife had to stay home to run our B&B I would go out with my detecting buddy John...Good Times.... Nothing like the solitude and excitement of uncovering something that has been lost for hundeds of years. Keep those video's coming !!
Love the video. I look forward to my Friday mornings hoping you have a new video posted
Man you film some good shots when you are out. I wish I had places to explore like that. The ice was really cool. Nice finds.
Wow what a hunt! Totally jealous 😀
Stunning scenery and a great treasure hunt, awesome.
Awesome thanks for sharing.
Nice hunt guys! Very cool Conestoga! Congrats on the coins. Thanks for sharing! GL & HH!
Beautiful video in your in the Vermont mountains. Love your finds coppers bell and all. The ice find just beautiful. Thanks for another adventure. Stay warm.
Excellent coin location. My favorite was the bell since it's the relic I want to find the most.
Great hunt guys and finds!!
What a hunt.. thanks for sharing!
Please don't ever change the music you use in your videos, I find it very calming and enjoyable. Just like metal detecting does for me.
Excellent as always. Enjoy all your videos!
Great video! Thank you!
You had a freezing good day! Congrats! You found your logo! Lol! Cool bells and that buckle was huge!! How is it possible too not have frozen ground there?? Come on spring!
Another awesome video thank you for sharing!
Poor ol Bananna Boy, thrown over the side for some newbie named Mike...Tsk Tsk Tsk...hahahahah nice finds and Man that spot is worthy of a spring-summer return, no?
Thanks Thomas, we'll definitely be back! Eddie has started his own UA-cam channel playing videogames, you can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/aqp8zI7JcR0/v-deo.html
Great Video. You detect on the same type of land that surrounds my cabin in the northern Catskills, about 2000 feet in elevation. I have been detecting there with an old White detector that must be the first one that Mr. White made in his basement. I find the site I have been to on a map dated 1853. So far I have only found iron pieces but you have inspired me to upgrade my detector to a newer Garret in the spring. Actually my best find was a gun flint i found right next to the main foundation just laying on top of the ground. The site is an old orchard with a main house foundation, root cellar, and barn foundation.
The curly ice I have seen many times while out deer hunting in November. Still warm moist ground covered by spongy decaying materials that acts to wick the moisture up into freezing air.
Tell your pal Eddy he is missed and hopefully he might find time to be in a future video.
I really enjoy your videos because every single item found seems legit and not planted. Props to you!
Mike and all the others folks were wrong that ice is from faeries. Wow what a day, the nearly complete bell is my favorite. If you reuse the big buckle show use some time please.
I enjoyed your adventure, especially the bell. Thanks guys for braving the cold temps.
Mike is a naughty boy! You're waxing poetic over the spectacular ice formation and he tells you to step on it! I cracked up 😂
Awesome Hunt guys congratulations on the seven large. HH. Your friend smokin Joe from North Carolina
Looks like there may have been either a store here or the occupants were merchants of some kind...
Sweet finds. So many large cents. Awesome hunt!
Thanks for risking frost bite for us Brad. That was an awesome
adventure. Definitely appreciate what it took to bring us along.
Todays video made a lot of cents. lol. You really did have a good day in spite of the cold. 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
see..that is your just reward for not stepping on that Ice...cool..
Great haul there guys
“It’s stupid to be out here..........”But, we’re here.” 😂😂
Absolutely incredible day! Thanks for braving the cold. That is a super buckle.
Thanks for the entertainment Super👍
These videos just keep getting better.
Thanks for braving cold awesome video all good finds
You certainly scored some great coins from that area. Our weather is the total opposite to yours. The other year l was detecting in the Aussie bush west of here & it was 43 degrees centigrade. Just a normal day in North Australia.
I started watching your vids a few months ago and I have to say...content is great, editing is awesome, music is really cool...I think I've watched about 25 or so and I can't get enough. I try to watch others and they just don't measure up to yours...And now I have a metal detector and a pinpointer and I'm ready to go out and look for my self...Thank you so much for the inspiration...
Thanks so much for the kind words, good luck out there, I hope 2019 brings you many treasures!
i agree, i just started this channel here and i can't stop watching! i got a detector just because of this, excited to give it a try. So many old cabins i find when i am out hunting, ill have tough choices to make next time i am hunting in the mountains lol.
@@snickerstorino YES! Like be VERY, VERY CAREFUL when you are hunched down digging in the dirt that a Grizzly bear doesn't spring out and maul you or WORSE! Be very safe! I'm sure you carry a gun since you hunt elk.
Find anything cool?
