- This wrestling tribalism only hurts their brand, not sure why they insist on continuing it, it’s off putting to fans!

AWE thinks mentioning WWE legitimizes them. In reality WWE doesn't care about AWE and that hurts Tony the most. Its only competition in Tony's mind.
So basically, tony/aew is repeating tna’s mistakes…
Just stopping by to say mad respect for your DVD game collection. 🤜🤛
This is the first time I’ve come across your channel. I agree with all your points. And side note. You have a calming voice dude.
They should mention impact tbh not the higher leagues 😂
Once the honeymoon period came and went, along with the issues that happened, along with WWE growing in improvements, it's all taken a hit at AEW.
I don't really point it to one thing, I point it to a more domino effect. Cody leaving, the whole Punk situation, the whole Vince situation. Massive changes happened in the world of wrestling, compared to when AEW first began. But it's got to a point where AEW have basically shot down the good will they built themselves on, and now we'll see if they can overcome this, and go back to growing again.
Great video man, I'm with you on a lot here. Thanks UA-cam recommended for showing me your content
I totally agree with you buddy.. it's just a floundering,.. and I watch aew.. I absolutely have to say what it is and give WWE their credit...
But im not delusional or a Tony Kahn cult follower.. it is what it is. WWE is doing well
TNA used to do this all the time especially when Bischoff was there, same with WCW even after the 83Weeks when it was clear they were losing.
Because punching up is a good thing, AEW making fun of WWE slightly every so often is funny.
had high hopes for AEW, not so much anymore
Totally agree 💯 ( it's so hard to stay a fan with Tony Kahn as the final voice..
..4 hours of a great ppv - then a hour plus post show media scrums and Tony Kahn closes.. so All that The talent does is minimized bc TK has use the media scrums to say or do something ridiculous! Something that Will overshadow that event..EA AND EVERY TIME!!!
Sometimes it seems like AEW doesn’t like AEW in my opinion. They have this revolving door of talent from other companies all the time and the talent that have get overlooked or overshadowed. I like a lot of things AEW has done with people like Swerve and Toni Storm a true testament to how good they can be when they focus. So I hope they can change the narrative and focus on AEW that’s my biggest takeaway from this video don’t talk about WWE and put worry about putting over your own talent.
AEW is hellbent on trying to take shots at WWE whenever they have the chance to do so and as a fan of both products, I find it very petty from AEW to do so. They need to focus on improving their product, the leadership/management and how they build new stars to carry the company up. Jericho continuously hogging TV time to put himself over is really ridiculous at this stage because he should be putting over younger guys like HOOK and others but yet, he is doing the opposite. It doesnt help that his segments are boring and corny where it derails momentum of other younger talents like Ricky Starks.
Tony Khan should start acting like a boss and takes charge of his company. Hire some bookers to plan storylines and have him be the final voice to approve/reject the storylines. Focus on promoting AEW as opposed to mocking WWE or etc. If I were to be a casual AEW fan and I see AEW wrestlers (or even Tony himself) taking shots at WWE, it would really sour my opinion on them because it just shows that WWE is living rent free in their head. It also shows lack of professionalism on their side as they felt that it is necessary to do it when the best option is to ignore it. Hell even WWE is not wasting their time, trying to find ways to bash AEW. They are so preoccupied with making their product better that it is actually getting better now.
I agree on your point on AEW giving dream matches for free. I find that so annoying because they could have easily make money by making storylines for dream matches to make fans get invested in their products. Even the recent Ospreay vs Danielson felt like there wasnt much build up except that it's a dream match.
If WWE is Coke, AEW is RC Cola
AEW is FayGo
This is the same thing TNA did before it became practically irrelevant.
Because they can't fight them head to head ratings wise so the only way to fight them is with cheap shots here and there. I can assure you if the WWE had heat with them like in the wcw days, there would be lots of it, but in this case WWE pays no mind
I think it's stupid also ...I'm a wrestling fan all around..I love it all WWE AEW TNA NJPW AAA GCW MLW there are more it's almost like the territory days ..keep it growing together..wrestling is bigger than it's ever been ...
Aew always mentioned WWE all the time since 2019
Aew exists because of WWE.
WWE just is.
But we need AEW to find balance again, last year was a fantastic year for AEW that I started to prefer it, this year it fell off a cliff... but I want it to be bigger and better. Cause it's existence pressured WWE to improve.
Because everyone taking shorts at aew even wwe. They need to fire back
You can't compare AEW to WCW...WCW was televised and available to the masses...and I don't always have time to come to the library to hop on the internet to catch what AEW did this week.
I've been watching more TNA now because TK is really coming off as a rich brat.
TNA have been doing some decent stuff with Nick Nemeth, I have been keeping an eye across what’s been happening there
When aew first started I was so hooked. I thhought it was great but can't even watch it now. With wwe being so good again too I don't have the urge to watch aew. They realky blew an amazing chance to become something great
Your analogy is better than Tony Khans. Saying AEW = Pepsi and WWE = Harvey Weinstein on the NFL Network
It's far beyond just mentioning WWE. They have white ropes, a video board on the ring, and a video board along the barrier. A casual fan would easily be convinced it's WWE. Until they watch for a few moments. AEW has a great roster. They don't need to mention the competition. They need to find their own identity.
Do you think Tony Khan is the main factor for AEW's issues?
100 percent he is an issue
agreed
I used to prefer AEW because they were closer to my ideal wrestling promotion, but now that WWE is improving, I'm less inclined to ignore the indieriffic aspects of their content. Especially since it has gotten ever more intense after Cody's and Punk's departure. Cody and Punk wanted Rasslin. I, like many AEW early adoptors *NEVER* wanted a high budget PWG. We wanted the idea of WCW 2.0, without the baggage and issues. An actual alternative that tries to be WWE but better.
people keep saying WWE is improving when its really not stop the lying
If you were a true AEW fan you would know WWE ain't improving get out of here
@@davidcoombsbestmegadethalb9780 I'm actually one of the people who finds Nosemans booking to be very boring. But the show has gotten better. Though it's mostly due to the Bloodline Punk and McIntyre. All acts who I feel like Triple H has less influence over.
@@CINEMATICWRESTLING Bro I don't give a crap about either company, so no, I'm not a "true AEW fan".
@@BigmanDogs clearly😂😂🤣
Same reason WCW always mentioned them after bischoff took over. They put WWF WWE on a pedestal. They already see WWF WWE as a superior
Because it is
Why does WWE keep mentioning AEW?
Both companies keep mentioning each other but it's only a problem for one of them apparently.
WWE is not taking shots or mentioning AEW on raw or smackdown. AEW is literally mentioning WWE on their flagship show dynamite every single week .It's one thing mentioning your competition on a podcast but,not on your national television shows . Tony Kahn just keeps taking shots at WWE in all his interviews.
because its funny
They should mention wwe. Wwe exists. All their fans watch it. Their wrestlers watch it. Let’s not live in a fake world
Idk... for the same reason that 600 view creators keep making this fucking video?
Yet you watched mark
No one cares lil bro 😂 😂
Lots of bad faith.
