Thanks alot, I appreciate your support too! you have been giving such great encouragement to new creators like me haha. im just sharing what i can, if its any help to anyone.
I live in the Seattle area. Walked into an AD on Jan . No purchase history told the AD I always wanted a Rolex , she let me try on all the models they had. I told he my favorite was the Submariner Date. Next day texted her a thank you. 3 Weeks late she texted me with a picture of the Submariner and asked if I was still interested, I said yes and showed up 3 hours later. No money spent, no history, even was wearing a hoodie when I came in.
Amazing video and super inspirational for watch enthusiasts like us. There arent many malaysian watch youtubers so i look forward to more videos from you!!!!!!!
great video man, not many people debunking these myths. I have a few questions, for the non-sports model watches, were they immediately available? second question is abit personal but whats your day job? because im sure some of us are curious as to how you can afford the watches. looking to build my profile with my AD soon too, inspired by you.
Bribing them may help, but does not guarantee anything haha. Jokes aside, in the end, unless you bribe the management, if you have no sales history, gonna be tough.
Very nice sharing. I must say That’s a very aggressive watch collection within a relatively short space of time. The following question is really personal but it will be great if you could share : Mind to share how much of your wealth is spent in your watch collection? Or what percentage do you think one should spend in watches in relative to their net worth?
Agree. That is really an aggressive watch collection within the span of 3 years. Any AD would place you at the top of their list especially when you are buying up all those precious metal watches.
Well each people may be comfortable with their own spending but for sound financial advise, I think anywhere from 10-25% should be spent on luxury goods.
Thanks. So I just need to spend 250k with a promise of spending another 200k and I have to wait max 8 months…? Funnily enough I thought that’s exactly how it works. Just not for those of us on the ground.
You have a lovely collection. Do you ever worry about putting the state of your collection online like that? Ie someone might try to rob or attack you? I'm not sure where you live. I just watched a video about watch thefts on the rise, especially in the UK, so now I'm concerned for those that share info like that.
Great Video, shows the myth and falsehood of waiting lists at High End Watch AD’s! Buy, Buy, Buy, create profit and revenue for your AD, impossible rare models come to you in months, not decades! You must have spent already $300,000 on the watches!
I don't mind waiting and I only buy the watches that I like. Watch collecting is a journey to me and having patience to wait for the watch to arrive makes it a bit sweeter. As for spending how much, doesn't the video already explain that haha.
I run a business and i know that you need repeat customers and some clients will be treated more vip and many others. Its a game the ad plays coz of circumstances as they dun even need to look for clients to buy. Its a fair game. So potential buyers please not be begrudge the sa for not letting u buy the watch with no purchase history. And wow ts. U seem to be sebei rich sia. Hehe. Collect so many watches wor.
Spent so much money at Ad's just to feel important and get preferential treatment. And here I am with my omega seamaster chrono bought in 2006,and still working flawlessly.
@@richdadwilliam Thank you and I meant no disrespect. Great honest video by the way. I know the game these AD's play and I refuse to play those games. They are beautiful watches but when customers are treated like crap then I have no respect for such AD's. Enjoy your watches too.
No problem man, to each their own. If you don't like the AD game, then don't play it. Do I like the game very much...not very much as well. Truthfully my AD treats customers very well, I have to back them on that, in reality they do want and appreciate your business. You just don't like the process of them (the industry) handpicking the customers, but I've made many videos on this, there's just no right or wrong.
One of the best watch collecting channels. Thanks for all the insights. Please make more videos.
what do you do in order to buy Patek?
This is epic. Thank you for sharing
Really appreciate your transparency. You’ve got a great collection so far, hope the pieces you’re waiting for come in soon.

@@richdadwilliam it’s always good to see fellow collectors creating informative content on UA-cam. Helps get more people into the hobby 👍🏻
Like your sharing, helps alot. May share which AD u bought from?

Great sharing. Did u manage to get ur hands on the 5711r in the meantime?
Interesting video - I enjoyed the breakdown. Overall, very reasonable and somewhat quick. Quite the collection you have put together!
Glad you enjoyed it! Just trying to share some info.
What about if you're looking to get your first piece from one of these brands?
Hi is there anyway I can contact you personally regarding some watches thank you
Thank you for your sharing! Would you mind to share the method or tips of earn money in order to afford those luxury watches?
Probably I'm the wrong person to give you these tips haha.

Many thanks! Really appreciate! Cheers
No worries! Thanks for watching.
Sounds familiar. AD parent company from Singapore?
Do you give your AD any gifts or anything as a thank you? Just wondering if I should
Bribing them may help, but does not guarantee anything haha.

Or buy at any DFS @ any international airport...
Music is great on top your english as second lingo :))

I'm sure there are others that are more aggressive haha. I guess it's just toning it down to 2-3 watches a year.
Thanks. So I just need to spend 250k with a promise of spending another 200k and I have to wait max 8 months…? Funnily enough I thought that’s exactly how it works. Just not for those of us on the ground.
Yeah basically that's the game. Hope I helped to confirm some myths.

@@richdadwilliam what’s the point when u can get it quicker and spent less from Grey market
Er..because I can get two watches for the price of one?

I think your ad doesn’t have customer other than you lucky man
Awesome insights and great watch collection!
