Cloud almost always loses to Sephiroth in a 1v1.
Crisis Core: Cloud was about to die against a Sephiroth that spent 48 hours straight reading Hojo’s research on Jenova, and having his entire world shattered. Now the only reason Cloud survived was because after Sephiroth stabbed him (like we see happen to Mario but for real) he pulled himself further into the sword and used his weight to throw a tired and confused Sephiroth into the life stream.
FF7: Cloud fights Sephiroth multiple times losing every time most of them being battled of the mind. The only reason Cloud is able to beat Sephiroth is because the life stream of Earth attaches itself to Cloud and stripping Sephiroth of the god like form we see in his final smash. So Sephiroth was reduced to his normal powers and shirtless, while Cloud was boosted by the life of everyone on earth easily killing Sephiroth.
Advent Children: Sephiroth needs a new host strong enough to hold his essence that also has Jenova cells in them, and it leads to the FF7 (surviving) group to stop him. Cloud fights Sephiroth 1v1, and Nomura specifically said not to show any damage to Sephiroth at any point even after Omnislash. With a statement like that it seems that the only reason Sephiroth returns to the life stream is because the host body couldn’t handle Sephiroth’s power for long.
FF7 Remake: Cloud can’t even land a blow during cutscenes even with the help of his group without it being a sneak attack. When they go to the edge of creation to reenact the final fight between them minus the life streams power inside of Cloud we see Sephiroth one handed block Cloud’s swings, and in seconds disarm Cloud. The only reason Cloud survived was because Sephiroth wants Cloud to defy destiny with him, and so he didn’t intend to kill Cloud throughout the game.
So overall we see that Sephiroth easily handles Cloud if plot armour doesn’t come in to save him.

He warned Mario to move an inch to his left when Sephiroth attacks so that the sword would catch his overalls instead of stabbing him.
This is the equivalent of seeing Thanos about to snap his fingers on the gauntlet only to suddenly get cut in half by Knull out of nowhere

New game mode: World of Sephiroth
In this game mode, It begins with this cutscene but instead it ends with Sephiroth killing all characters except Cloud just to torment him.
The game mode begins with Cloud instead of Kirby going through the World of LIght Map but everything is left in ruins and black clouds cover the land.
To unlock fighters, you must resurrect them with revive materia you collect.
As the game progresses, the camera pans to where Sephiroth is and reveals that since he killed Galeem, Dharkon has attempted to take over the world in his place but met the same fate as Galeem. Sephiroth has absorbed his power and is now going to summon not just one Meteor to destroy Smash's world... but all worlds.
It's a race for heroes and villains (bosses help you as NPCs) alike to destroy the worst evil their worlds have seen... before there are no worlds left.
This is really good maybe you should plan events for games maybe but hey I’m just saying you just seem very talented
This would be perfect if Sakurai, his team and Square Enix could pull something to this caliber off

@@Metalora That sounds pretty epic. It would definitely make for an interesting Smash Adventure mode. The only thing I'm worried about though, is if there will be a new console, since Smash only sells one game per console. Also, they would have to make another villain just to get Sephiroth to kill him off? Unless that villain got a boss fight of their own, that sounds like a let down. BTW, you think there will be a new Nintendo console in the future?

When you barely beat the “final boss” , but it turns out that was just the 2nd to final boss, and the plot twist reveals your worst nightmare.

possible plot:
sephiroth kills all of the smash bros characters but link and cloud,link uses his ocarina to get him and cloud back in time to stop sephiroth and tabuu before anything happens after they saw the future without sephiroth but, the ocarina messes up and they came to to the origins of the characters, in the story mode you will go similarly to kingdom hearts around video game universes and meet the main heroes of the series and fight against the dark forces of sephiroth that came with both and beat sephiroth himself in one heck of a final boss

Imagine this: Finally, Nintendo decided to make a Super Smash Bros anime in collaboration with Studio Shaft (The same studio that animated Palutena's SSB4 Reveal trailer all the way back in 2014-15) you are about halfway through the first season finale, everyone gathers at the cliff edge to face Galeem for the final battle, eventually, Galeem does show up, with his Master Hand Army surrounding him, their gloved hands unravel to reveal blue energy, this energy rushes towards its host, you know what's about to happen, you have played World of light many times, and every time it begins the same, Galeem will unleash a mighty attack, and destroy everything in its sight... Unless- No, it can't be, you shake away your thought and focus on your screen, Galeem's core overflows with energy, to the point where it is almost blinding, it shines brighter and brighter until it... stopped? The bright and colorful entity freezes, its core blackens... lifelessly. The entity falls to the ocean, In two halves. Thunderous music plays from your speakers, and you instantly recognize it as "Advent: One-Winged Angel", you jump out of your chair and witness the TRUE villain of this series in all of his unholy lowliness, not Galeem, not Darkon, or even Tabuu, but Sephiroth, the One-Winged Angel!

I really wish Cloud & Sephiroth’s English voice actors were recorded for the game. I get it.... probably a choice by Square Enix but it would still be great to hear that haunting voice that was done so well in FFVII ReMake
I like to think this is the true Galeem Wins ending, destroying Dharkon apparently sets Sephiroth free and just as when Galeem kills everyone again...SLASH!
