@6:15 -- Possibly the first strike Uncle Max ever had to deal with!
One thing you can say in Max's favor...
He wasn't afraid to poke fun at the management!

Koko the Clown climbed the beanstalk just like a fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk and Gulliver’s Travels!

The film was released in 1922 according to the description of the upload.
The scan of the 100-year-old print probably happened within the last 2 years.
      Good thing they did it!
The end fate of the filmstrip is that it'll turn into mush like they eventually all do.
The principle concern of these digital scans is whether the files will be compatible with future computers. Disney used a specific file system for the restoration of Snow White that they did in the early 1990s prior to what was the last national rollout in theaters of that movie. The restoration was released on VHS and laserdisc. Later, they retouched those files (about 10 years later) for DVD and utterly reduced the look of that film to "digital video quality" (basically looks like one of the late 1990s/early 2000s cheapquels) which was NOT good; they scrubbed it too hard with some DVNR filter. The film emulsion/film grain is supposed to there. I think one of the shortcomings of HD digital video is that it's TOO clean. I haven't seen Snow White on Blu ray so I can't comment about that but I sincerely hope they DID NOT use the retouched DVD files as the basis for the later HD releases!
As I understand it, they STILL use hard drives to store the files and the hard drives have to be replaced about every 7-8 years. Regardless of whether the HD is solid state or magnetic disc, it has to be replaced.
If you've had computers long enough, magnetic drives fail. I've had it happen twice before I replaced the entire computer system. It'll happen eventually with SSD units, too.
The James Bond MGM Blu rays and the Universal Classic Horror film Blu rays have features about the restoration and digital archiving processes of those films. The Connery Bond films and the 1930s Universal horror classics have never looked better than they do now!
