Really glad to have Kristin on this episode. I honestly have never cared for love triangles in shows myself. Drags down a show honestly. I always felt bad for Lana how the majority of people she got close to ended up leaving. Clark though was a constant and certainly good thing in her life. I really loved how strong Lana was in this one, especially at the end. Telling Clark it's not True that he brings pain and suffering. Really loved how she never wavered in giving up on him and believing in him. That's one of the greatest things I have always loved about her character. Made her very special. I believe if she had gone, she could have convinced him to return. Always appreciate these episodes and you guys.❤❤❤🙏🙏
The scene where Jonathan gives Lex the compass so that Lex could always find his way was powerful. It was a thoughtful gift and it shows that Jonathan has accepted Lex. The green key scene was so well done. I am guessing it was made from Walden’s hand. Lex also used the word pithy in this episode. The ending scenes of this episode was powerful. The Lionel and Chloe scenes was great. It reminds me of a spider luring its prey to the web. The baby was protected by the ship was interesting. Love this episode and y’all. Kristen was awesome.

Listening to Kirstin talk about literally finding her voice has gotta be one of the most impactful and inspirational things to come out of this podcast. So relatable. 💜
So glad you got Kristin on here, always love to see her. Lana & Clark really progressed in this second season, it was a big one for me when I was a youngin.
How is she not a bigger star? Such a true actress love her in all of her endeavors! I ve never seen her not give a great performance no matter the character!!!
Kristin loved to stay in Vancouver, had no real person interest in Hollywood. She may have gotten more attention than if she did the Hollywood audition thing. Like more films...but she is still a success as actress/producer...
Kristin is such a class act. I love that you guys are all willing to do this show and all the cons. I’m sure it’s not easy to schedule all these things along with trying to continue working on new projects and balance your personal lives. Much love for keeping it going❣️
Yeees! Kristin❤ is here! I can't believe that is almost a year since pilot episode of Talkville. Still remember how exciting was that announcement video. Good times🙂. Season 3 is the best ( to me) and i'm pretty sure that this one is fan favorite ( fan forums😏). By the way, Exodus was brilliant. That guy JOKIC😃 ( he is from my country Serbia)- ❤ you Rosey.
Kristin literally doesn't age and is just as GORGEOUS as she was on Smallville! 🔥🔥 Plus it's obvious she's a deeply intelligent woman full of class. I love hearing her perspective on Smallville! ❤
Tom not mentioning anything about using tongue was so funny...Only Kristin could do a zoom from that angle and still look stunning to the point we can see up her nose and no double chin insight😂😂😂 Love love love❤ Made my night, thank you xx
Right the fact that Tom did not once deny it 😂and didn't join kristin when she said that she doesn't remember kissing him with tongue ever and was just laughing his ass off lemme know he remembers and they most likely did in that scene🤣
@@vbrandy7088 I can’t with them .. 😏 and it’s only the season 2. They are not ready with Michael reacting to every kiss ; during the Red episode he noticed they enjoy kissing each other ! 😂
I find it more interesting when you guys have Kristin, love listening to the female perspective of being apart of this show as well as her thoughts on her character. Looking forward to you guys having more female co-stars as the series goes on.
Kristin K elevated today’s conversation. Huge THANK YOU for her preparedness and for Michael making it all happen. Can we get more female actors, regulars or guest stars, and film makers from Smallville as guest commentators because CW’s legacy of treating female characters as objects of desire is honestly very, very extensive, and it’s just healing- I mean it sincerely- to go back as adults and interject adult female voice and perspective into all that drama. Please and thank you.
It was a great observation how the love triangles came very close to being designed to make the more intense fans hate the rivals. I like to think I never quite reached that point, but it probably played a part. I've always been a Chloe fan, and while I would've been tickled silly if they went with the wild fan theory that Lois somehow dies and Chloe takes her name as a tribute to her and ends up with Clark, I also acknowledge they didn't have all that much physical chemistry. So I enjoyed Chloe in the somewhat bitter ambiguously villainous role of season 2-3, and she was great in the later seasons as his trusted friend and eventual confidant. Whereas Lana I just did not think was written with as much depth - she was always just "the one destined for Clark who everyone obsesses over and has to save". No fault of Kristin's, just not a good character. But yeah...when I thought Chloe was just way cooler, it was even easier to detest Lana.
Kristin was the youngest regular on set and needed to deal with deranged stalkers because of her damsel in distress TV persona. It was awful. I love that Chloe had a very adult and casual and honest and sexy relationship on later seasons; it was satisfying and a nice easy counterbalance to Clark&Lois’ moving at snailspeed and so calculated old school relationship. I wanted more for Lana. I wanted her bitterness and resentment of Clark’s hypocrisy in later seasons to have more oomph and more screen time. Lois and Oliver had a very adult and satisfying for the viewers resolution to their romance; we believed they were in love, and we believed they eventually transitioned into a healthy friendship. But, somehow, Lana, Clark’s actual comic book friend, didn’t get the season needed to grow into friendship instead of becoming kryptonite. I’m OK with super powers. I’m frustrated that Kristen’s character didn’t get a character arc worthy of seven seasons and independent of the slobbering mess where she loves Clark more than he’ll ever know- or whatever her last goodbye to him was. I’m glad Kristen often reminds people at conventions that it’s OK to have a life after a break up, including for Lana.
it's so nice to see the three of them in pure harmony, I love Kristin's interaction with Michael and Tom. The participation of the muse elevates the quality of this conversation. Smallville will never be the same without Michael and Kristin! They marked an entire generation ❤
"The participation of the muse elevates the quality of the conversation" this right here is perfeclty said💯and seeing the holy trinity of Smallville reunite is always a treat!
TGI Wednesday!!!! Can’t belive we are in the season 2 finale!! Love this episode! And what a guest star for the ocation!!! So funny the discuss about tongue kiss or not tongue kiss with Kristin 😂 love the special effects!! And the cliffhanger!! Love you guys!! Can’t wait to season 3!!!
Aww Kristin’s back! Always love seeing you guys all together. It’s nice that she took the time to watch it, I enjoyed what she shared! So yeah, it ended season 2 perfectly! Thank you Talk Ville, you guys are the best ♥️!
Kristin's insight re the love triangle and how it impacted her/other female actress interactions with fans really opened my eyes to a phenom I didn't realise existed. Premo episode everyone! Looking forward to S3.
Thank you gents for another great season and sharing your experience on the show with us! It’s a testament of how great the show was, twenty years later we’re still holding on to smallville ❤ Having Kristin on season finale was the cherry on top. Looking forward to season 3🎉 #talkvillegang
Awesome episode! I think Kristen's POV is a refreshing element to the podcast. I like that she was so spot on on things even though she watched only this last episode. Joer El being so controlling didn't make a lot of sense, its so true. The drama though really worked for all us back then. We were all so thrilled that they were finally together and we were so happy for Clark, that it made it so much worse to see him like this in the end. That kiss btw ❤ can't just forget that. Kristen swears there wasn't tongue which means she remembers it all too well!
Man when Kristin mentioning how different everyone is as ppl, watching the show again and the product of the times so to speak. I started watching it again and then i realized how truly different I was at that time too. Now we are all older more mature and you’re seeing all this now and it’s like man…..what a crazy time 😂
I remember those final moments with Lex and not wanting to wait until season 3 to know what happened. This time Lex didn't have Clark there to save him and you didn't know how he was going to make it. Thanks to everyone for making Talk Ville amazing week after week. Can't wait for everyone to return for season 3.
I'm glad Kristin talked about how love triangles bring out pretty ridiculous behavior in a certain subset of fans. There are people who can't seem to separate fiction from reality and it really places actors in the line of fire, so to speak.
@@DanielMazz Some shippers can't tell the difference between Kristin the actress and Lana the character or just because she got the role for Lana. They literally will go to news sites that report on Kristin's new projects and literally attack her as Lana Lang or for Kreuk playing Lana Lang . To this day. Some shippers cannot deal with the fact she is successful as a actress and producer.
This episode is fantastic. All the acting was incredible and brought so much emotion out. Kristin is an amazing guest star and should be on the podcast more often!!! Loved seeing y’all can’t wait for season 3
Thanks for having Kristin K back on Talkville, awesome way to wrap up season 2! Ever since this podcast started, I always thought that Kristin should have been the 3rd host of Talkville because y'all were the holy trinity of Smallville, the heart and soul of the series. The 3 of you carried the biggest and most important storylines of the series : Clex, Clana and the Clark/Lana/Lex triangle that resulted in Clark and Lex becoming Nemesis. Also having a woman's perspective especially from a main cast member would be a great addition to the podcast. The balance, insights and better understanding she brought to the conversation was really great! Anyway all of this to say that I hope Kristin will be on the pod more often in the future.
Wow, what an amazing podcast episode! Season 2 of Smallville has been a wild ride, and "Exodus" was definitely a standout finale. This is the best podcast of the season. Tom and Michael's insights were on point and added so much depth to the discussion. And of course, Kristen was absolutely stunning throughout the episode. Her beauty never ceases to amaze me. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us in Season 3! Keep up the great work, guys! 💯🔥
The dynamic between them is so pleasing to witness. Like three best friends that despite not spending every day together anymore, they pick up right where they left off last time. And I'm amazed at how fine everyone aged, specially Kristin
Amazing episode! Everyone did such a great job with their performances and the effects were great! Thanks to Kristin for joining once again. And thank you guys for another season ❤
I love all these guest cameos from the actors from the show! They really make it feel like smallville itself is talking about the show and what they and we loved about it!
I really appreciate Kristen’s comments on this episode. Her critique is essential for thinking about how female characters are valued and marketed in fan culture as a whole but especially on a superhero show. There are some scenes that didn’t age well when it comes to female characters finding their path as a whole and it great to learn from them by watching this show. Will recommend this show to my students
Most of these problems that Kristin talked about especially regarding love triangles, happen because of crazy "shippers". And they don't just happen to female characters, in MMF triangles the male characters receive just as much hatred from the "fans". TVD and Stefan, anyone? With all the insane Damon fans, it was absolutely wild to watch.
Kristen is amazing, it's always nice to see her. I can't believe the season is over already. I swear we just started. I'm going to have to go through all of the episodes again. Love you guys, you are all amazing, Thank you so much for doing this amazing podcast.
Great episode guys…Kristen added a lot to it…her perspective is unique and hopefully she’ll comeback on the podcast more often ! Thanks for a great season 2 and I hope you guys continue !

I love how much you ALL dove into this episode! Also Kristin's perspective was great! Ryan's thoughts and perspective was great. Thank you ALL! Including you Bryce!!
Hi Michael and Tom, I'm really glad you guys started this podcast. My uncle was a really big fan of Smallville, he even had the theme song as his ringtone for years, even after the show ended lol. Whenever it came on i'd always watch it with him. He sadly passed away in 2021, I watch a few of the episodes or some clips now and then whenever I think about him. I just wanted to thank you guys for making my childhood so memorable and fun.
Love this episode and it was great to see how much Kristin has matured and is now a confident professional lady. The synopsis and conversation between the three of you was brilliant and funny and a great way to end a wonderful season. Thank you much love 🤩💖
Clark always thought Lana wouldn't accept him if he knew his secret but I am sure she would, like she finally will. This was a great moment to tell her the truth and where he began to lose the chance to stay with her
That was only half the issue. Clark's anxiety is part loneliness from not being human, but also extreme responsibility for those he cares about. Everyone who carries his secret is always in danger and usually up end leaving or dead. Clark couldn't have lived with himself if something happened to Lana because she knew who, or what he was. He lost his best friend (Pete) because carrying his secret was too hard. He'd rather keep Lana in his life at arm's length than lose her or she get badly hurt. It seems a bit "whut?", but to him it made sense.
@@albertocorpa Thanks. I'm not saying I'm totally right, but that's how I see Clark in this show. He carries two massive burdens. One of loneliness and one of responsibility, They test my theory further down the road in Season 5, I think. Where Clark does share his secret with Lana and it doesn't turn out well. It has major consequences and reinforces Clark's resolve not to tell Lana who/what he is.
@@Marvellous132 Yes, I remember that moment and because of that I agree with you. Only i would have loved to see a honest relationship between them like they had in comics

Mike, Tom (and Ryan), thank you for doing this podcast. I have such amazing memories of watching this for the first time and remembering how I couldn’t wait until September to watch the season premiere. I was 29 when the show premiered and here I am at 51 still enjoying it. Looking forward to the season 3 podcast and beyond with more insight and thoughts. And yes, I’m still holding on to Smallville. Oh my gosh. Did Kirstin just stop ageing? I could not tell that it's been 20 years for her. It's so great to see her and hear her perspective on the show. The first few seasons were basically her show too.
Definitely a nice finale... I really felt for Clark on this one... Imagine being 16 years old and your biological father shows up and not only tells you that you have to leave everyone that you love, but also demands and even attempts to force you to leave so you have to become something before your time... I felt for Lana too because it does take you back to Lana and Clark in the caves and how she said that everyone she gets close to leaves her and it happened again this time around... Chloe just-- I'm not gonna go there today lol... Lionel being Lionel and gaining a new ally... Pete trying to be the voice of reason to Clark, but Clark was so distraught especially after seeing the pain and disappointment in his parents and knowing that he caused that and his Mom's "miscarriage"... When Clark told Pete: "My Dad looked at me like I was an alien", I felt that... Lex not only fighting his demons, but also seeing Helen and Lionel talking... The bright spot in this episode for me Jonathan giving Lex a compass 🧭 as a wedding gift that was passed down to him from his father so we see Lex being like a son to Jonathan (which is what both he and we, the audience, wanted 😊)... I will say that Jor-El was a certified douchebag for me... Cold-blooded wouldn't even do it justice to describe Jor-El in this episode... All in all, I definitely give this episode a strong 🌹🌹(2 roses)... By the way, i have a feeling that Season 3 will receive more roses than the 1st 2 Seasons as it is considered by many as the best Season in the series... It does get dark also so stay tuned for that 😎... #LoveThePodcastFellas #TalkvilleWednesdays
Lana also certainly had a great strength and perseverence from all she went through. As well as as incredible perception with I believe always knowing who Clark was and what he was destined to be. Listening to Kirstin talk about literally finding her voice has gotta be one of the most impactful and inspirational things to come out of this podcast. So relatable. 💜
This finale is EPIC. Things were never the same in Smallville after this
What do you mean by that?
@@Jimmy9298 the consequences of clarks actions in this episode will cause a lot of character growth and dynamic changes with his family and friends
I mean he had left Smallville, so yeah I imagine things would be different.😄
S3 soon :)
Things really changed in Smallville without Clark. Death rate went up by 50% to 3 people per week.
A way better inclusion of Kristin as she ACTUALLY watched the episode. Makes the pod have way more cohesion.
Omg I didn't expect Kristin, what a great surprise!!
Kristin literally doesn't age and is just as GORGEOUS as she was on Smallville! 🔥🔥 Plus it's obvious she's a deeply intelligent woman full of class. I love hearing her perspective on Smallville! ❤
Tom not mentioning anything about using tongue was so funny...Only Kristin could do a zoom from that angle and still look stunning to the point we can see up her nose and no double chin insight😂😂😂 Love love love❤ Made my night, thank you xx
hahahahah lord
Lmao
Right the fact that Tom did not once deny it 😂and didn't join kristin when she said that she doesn't remember kissing him with tongue ever and was just laughing his ass off lemme know he remembers and they most likely did in that scene🤣
@vbrandy7088 exactly lol even in the witch episode when hes chained and "Isobel" kisses him, we saw what we saw 🤣🤣🤣
@@vbrandy7088 I can’t with them .. 😏 and it’s only the season 2. They are not ready with Michael reacting to every kiss ; during the Red episode he noticed they enjoy kissing each other ! 😂
9:20 & 36:17 I just love this whole bit cause Tom knows what’s up & just staying quiet lmaoo
I find it more interesting when you guys have Kristin, love listening to the female perspective of being apart of this show as well as her thoughts on her character. Looking forward to you guys having more female co-stars as the series goes on.
Totally agree! I love hearing her prespective :)
Same.
Can’t really have Chloe:/
Kristin K elevated today’s conversation. Huge THANK YOU for her preparedness and for Michael making it all happen. Can we get more female actors, regulars or guest stars, and film makers from Smallville as guest commentators because CW’s legacy of treating female characters as objects of desire is honestly very, very extensive, and it’s just healing- I mean it sincerely- to go back as adults and interject adult female voice and perspective into all that drama. Please and thank you.
Solid perspective
Totally agree with you! It's great hearing a woman prespective about the show
It was a great observation how the love triangles came very close to being designed to make the more intense fans hate the rivals.
Love Kristin! She is so smart and insightful and as beautiful as ever. Love all three you together please make it happen again next season!
it's so nice to see the three of them in pure harmony, I love Kristin's interaction with Michael and Tom.
The participation of the muse elevates the quality of this conversation.
Smallville will never be the same without Michael and Kristin!
They marked an entire generation ❤
Love the show!
"The participation of the muse elevates the quality of the conversation" this right here is perfeclty said💯and seeing the holy trinity of Smallville reunite is always a treat!
Always feels like a brother sister dynamic when they talk together haha
TGI Wednesday!!!! Can’t belive we are in the season 2 finale!! Love this episode! And what a guest star for the ocation!!! So funny the discuss about tongue kiss or not tongue kiss with Kristin 😂 love the special effects!! And the cliffhanger!! Love you guys!! Can’t wait to season 3!!!
Even with the most unflattering camera angle, she looks friggin amazing! What a beautiful woman ❤️
Aww Kristin’s back! Always love seeing you guys all together. It’s nice that she took the time to watch it, I enjoyed what she shared! So yeah, it ended season 2 perfectly! Thank you Talk Ville, you guys are the best ♥️!
I truly hope we continue the podcast into the heart of Smallville. We need to see when Chloe finds out, when Oliver Queen joins, and Justice.
Can't wait for everyone to return for season 3.
facts love this channel
I'm glad Kristin talked about how love triangles bring out pretty ridiculous behavior in a certain subset of fans. There are people who can't seem to separate fiction from reality and it really places actors in the line of fire, so to speak.
Yes...the screwball Lana haters
just can't deal with the fact Kristin is a real person who works for a living since she graduated high school. Lol
Supernatural - great example. Just awful in that fandom.
Yep. "Shippers" are the absolute worst thing that happened to television. The amount of crazy it brings out in people...
@@easyalpha1what u mean
@@DanielMazz Some shippers can't tell the difference between Kristin the actress and Lana the character or just because she got the role for Lana. They literally will go to news sites that report on Kristin's new projects and literally attack her as Lana Lang or for Kreuk playing Lana Lang . To this day.
Some shippers cannot deal with the fact she is successful as a actress and producer.
Great to see Kristen back! ❤
yeah buddy! ❤️
Hell yeah it's Kristin! More of her please... I mean whenever she has time, of course
I wish she will be in much more episodes of talkville. I love hearing her prespective.
I would love a bonus episode where you guys watch bloopers
So glad you had Kristin on again!! Please have Emmanuelle Vaugier as a guest if you can!! 🙏
Yessss!
She BETTER be on for episode 2 next season.
Been patiently waiting for Kristin to come back 😊
52:23 That's what a Lana crush looks like 😂 Every one experiences it ❤
Great episode guys…Kristen added a lot to it…her perspective is unique and hopefully she’ll comeback on the podcast more often ! Thanks for a great season 2 and I hope you guys continue !
Kristin!!🥰🎉 Is always a pleasure have the 3 of you together 🫶 I love when Michael makes Tom and Kristin uncomfortable 😂😂😂❤
I really enjoyed this episode, it was perfect ❤
We need Clark, Lana, and Lex together more often! That would be amazing!
Love this episode and it was great to see how much Kristin has matured and is now a confident professional lady. The synopsis and conversation between the three of you was brilliant and funny and a great way to end a wonderful season. Thank you much love 🤩💖
Suggestion for future seasons. There should be a way to ask questions to the guest. Specially for Kristin
@@Marvellous132 Yes, it is totally true. He does what he thinks is right and I understand that
@@albertocorpa Thanks.
Thanks for having Kristin back. She's so great. Great interview. Another good episode. I enjoyed it.
Great way to end the season! Loved Rosey’s voices and his analysis of Kristen and Tom’s kiss. 🤣🤣. The best. Great to have Kristen on as well. Thank you for being the best part of my week. Looking forward to season 3 and beyond. TGFTVW. ❤❤
LoL. Rosey you had me dying at the tongue kissing impersonations. You always know how to bring out the fun and humor in these episodes. And give a good laugh. Brightens my day. Thank You always so much for that. You are the best my friend.🤣😀😀❤❤❤❤❤
Yes! Kristin in the Talkville finale and 2 Roses from Rosey. What a grand finale for both season 2 and Talkville. Bring on season 3!
Kristin is the best, so happy she was in this episode!
Michael : "we have an amazing guest on the show today"
Tom : "the one and only"

“There was an episode where Lana couldn’t find her cats” 😂😂
"oh really?" 😂😂😂
Kristin is such a wisdom to watch and listen in your podcasts. ☺
Very strong and fantastic episode emotionally speaking 💔 ! where everyone ’s destiny explodes with the spaceship ! Especially that of Clark. What a joy to still have Kristin on TalkVille and what i learned is Michael ’s interest in the famous kiss 👅🤣🤣🤣 !! Love you guys , a big thank you 💘❣
Awesome season, can’t wait for next season. Can always hear more from Kristin.
"There was no tongue!" I sure believe that as I watch them basically eat each other alive under the tree... 😂
I see what Kristin is saying about "not having found her voice yet" BUT I find that such a positive thing...everything looked SO REAL, SO NATURAL... that scene was very EMOTIONAL because she was...
Kristin Needs to agree to be on this show…I can listen to her talk all day 🥰🥰🥰
Mike, Tom (and Ryan), thank you for doing this podcast.
Cheers!
I met Kristin in Paris during a fan event. The event was so badly organized and it must have been exhausting and stressful but Kristen was lovely and said I looked beautiful. Thank you for having her on the show, it was a treat ❤

Well, i think we have discovered how this podcast can generate more revenue......Kristen Kreuk. No need to beg for more patreon's, just include her in the podcast. Views will skyrocket. (If's she's wiling)
This is my favorite episode you guys have done. PS: Please have Kristin Kreuk more often. ❤
Great way to finish Season 2 with Kristin Kreuk, Exodus was a great episode and it really sets up thing for season 3 of Smallville, really looking forward to next season, keeping going what ya doing guys !! 😆
Oh my gosh. Did Kirstin just stop ageing? I could not tell that it's been 20 years for her. It's so great to see her and hear her perspective on the show. The first few seasons were basically her show too.
I know, right?
Hell yes, Kristen bringing up the issues. I have to go back and rewatch the episode with these POVs I didn't have before.
As usual Tom is saying nothing about the kissing 😅😂
Lana also certainly had a great strength and perseverence from all she went through. As well as as incredible perception with I believe always knowing who Clark was and what he was destined to be. Would really love for Kristin to be a regular on the podcast. Her perspective and thoughts on these episodes are always refreshing as well as insightful. She isan amazing, beautiful soul inside and out.😀🙏
Love love love this pod..enjoyed the podcast with our favourite guest star Kristin Kreuk💜🤗🤩🙏
Rewatching all seasons again Just watched this Episode, I watched every episode when it aired back in the day. At 37 now Man talk about a trip down memory Lane. Michael,Tom,Kristin you guys are still my hero's. Still the best version of superman and Origin story, Love you so much.
The best episode in the show so far, better than the pilot. 3 ROSES. Chapeau!! I had the pleasure of meeting Kristin Kreuk in Dortmund, Germany, in May at the ComicCon there.
Kristin is amazing, as are Michael and Tom! This is so much fun to watch and listen to!
I love when Kristin visits! It's like a class reunion! You can tell you are all 3 great friends. :) :) :) She's such a sweetie! Love her!

I did guess Ryan's favourite scene.
I was 11 when smallville started my mum recorded it for my dad so he could watch it after work. I watched it instead 😂 and was hooked haha. 1st show i was hooked from day 1. Sending love from Scotland ❤.
I'm glad ryan is on the podcast. Its nice to get a perspective from someone who is just watching it. I love that Kristen was on and hearing her take on it. I loved Lana's character and she definitely deserved better on the show. Chole's ark was just redundant and I'm glad that they fix that later. Anyway its always a pleasure to watch can't wait till y'all return with season 3.
