If they don't wait and keep moving, there is no way to avoid other trains, between one station to another station. It is kind of very very old railway signalling and control system, riding train in Myanmar is like you are travelling back through time. It is a kind of appreciation moment for what you have in your life and satisfaction of what we have and time for reflection, the place where you are on your own thoughts travelling through time.
I would totally take the slow train! Travel isn't about rushing, it's about experiences. I can't wait to see your stay in Bagan! That's where I'm most interested to go next year.

Hey guys! The travel advisory for US citizens was increased to level 4 which, I believe, means that if you don’t make it back ASAP that you could be expected to stay outside of the country indefinitely. I could be wrong and definitely look it up but please be careful and be smart.
I dont think so.but i think myanmar dont have any test kit to detect covid 19..fyi there are many cases in sotheast asia.. only myanmar and laos are the only country in southeast asia are covid free

Foreigners who ride train in Myanmar always mention "open windows". Fun fact is that there is no train with (fixed) closed windows in Myanmar.
