I like Raun's drumming, but he certainly misses the mark with songs that Derrick originally played on. I also have had the pleasure of seeing both Raun and Derrick play live with RKL. Derrick twice around 2001 and Raun last year. Derrick puts him to shame. Raun just doesn't have the chops or precision. I also think his up tempo punk beat is two heavy on the back beat it almost sounds like he's not playing the hi hat between the beat.
@@stephenforbes2762 i wish i could have the opportunity to see Derrick play live....I know a guy that saw Lagwagon in London in 94/95 and he said that Derrick live performance was outstanding. I saw Dave for the first time in 99 he was awesome , he has amazing mechanics, power, chops and an unique groove/swing when drumming but from the live footage and the million times I heard duh/trashed/hoss , derrick will always be my favourite drummer. The power, consistency, chops, hihat control, single pedal control, creativity... there's no one ever like him playing punk rock music. I agree with you regarding Dave's back beat, sounds heavy... specialty after 2005...he was kind of lighter in 90ies. Cheers!
i always loved the shyness from Joey. Most best bands from the 90s got totaly energetic Frontmans, but he is a singer like Scott R. who looks away from the crowd and likes singing to the back.
pound for pound the best band ever
Dave's drumming is awesome but its hard to keep up with derricks pace and tightness from the previous tour. Great performance though!
Derrick quit
just prior to this show.
@@russoloco1662 I didn't know that. Dave's probably didn't practice with the band for that long then.
Dave must've been pulling dbl duty as he was on RKLs Riches To Rags?

dammit they were on fire... that was the time of the 200+ shows a year... Shawn's back-up vocals were spot on as well
This is great quality for a concert recorded in 1996, can't wait to see them again!
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Lagwagon, NUFAN, and Strung Out on that stage ❤️
Saw all 3 numan strung out the wagon at bo jangles in sac the cattle club

My favorite album is Hoss wouldve loved to have gone to this show but didn't really get into them until 97.
Love the vocals. Guitars are tight too.
