Mine just landed and has exceeded my expectations. TN have absolutely nailed it with this one. Best new KJV since the Sovereign. They’ll sell ‘em by the truck load.
I was in half price books last week and found a gem! A 1982 NKJV burgundy cowhide leather and leather lined, edge lined Bible. Paid $10 for it. Almost mint condition with zero writing in it and even the art gilding is still like new. The spine says collectors edition and also “old time gospel hour”. The presentation page reads “this is to certify that this hand-tooled first edition of the New King James Bible number….. has been registered in the name of …… this special collector’s edition was produced for the old time gospel hour in a limited number and made available to a few special friends”. Definitely a good find. By the way it was in Louisville where I bought this lol
I have the hardback of this Bible, and having the text in paragraph format has really helped my reading and understanding. So this week I ordered a genuine leather indexed one just like what is in the video. I am having it imprinted with my name so it will take a few days before CBD ships it. Can hardly wait.
Awesome, definitely going to get this for a reader. I prefer to preach from vbv. Like u I prefer a non descript front, actually also blank on the spine, nothing at all. The one from Blue heron, has thinner paper, more ghosting, not line match.. i still read it. But this print is a lot better!
I think that Schuyler Treveris would look better if the numbers on the right side were the right side of the text instead of in the gutter. Anyway, I like the idea of having the numbers in a paragraph style Bible in the margins instead of within the text. Or if they're going to have the numbers in the text, I think they should be in a bold typeface so they'll be easier to find.
A KJV in paragraphs, now that is awesome. Finally. The most poetic translation is now typeset like is should have been long time ago. Like you I prefer the cover to be blank, but my biggest issue is the red letters. It doesn't matter how bold they are, it will still hurt my eyes. Thomas Nelson doesn't make Bibles for me. Guess that's why I use Crossway's ESV translation as main translation despite the fact that I love the NKJV.
I understand the arguments for and against red letters but I can’t get exercised either way. FWIW, with the exception of the Cambridge Cameo, TN’s are pretty much the best in the business.
I have people get on my case because I like 2-column paragraph bibles. Just feels more natural to me. Also, yeah - I'm opposed to red-letter on principle because I think it gives people the mistaken impression that some words are more important than others.
Looks like a good reading Bible! I just wish they had left verses that continued sentences uncapitalized. Between it and the Clarion (I know they’re a lot different) which do you think makes for better read?

I love that you always call out the ISBN on the back cover. I just wish they'd listen. :(
Thanks for the great review!

Hope they offer this in the Premier collection like the NKJV
Meee tooooo!
Can this influential channel push them to do it, I hope so.
I don’t think any of us have that much influence! I wish!

Thank you for the review and comparison Tim. I’m with you on the 2 column format with the references at the bottom.
Thank you, Brother Tim 🌹🌹🌹🌾
On sale for under $40 right now! Seems quite nice for the price

This isn’t based on any superstition. In fact, I have a video coming that shows a bible that addresses this.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Looking forward to it.

@@fnjesusfreak I'm a two column paragraph person myself too. For me, the flow of the passage outweighs any need to see the verse numbers.

I will always prefer a thinline over a compact.
I wonder why they don't put the ISBN number on the Copyright page along with the other information.
The blocks can go on multiple covers. So they wouldn’t really help.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Oh okay. I was just wondering.
Strange that you like bottom reference over Clarion side-column. Very strange.
I am strange with a lot of people! Ha ha. 😃
