St. Joseph County Nursing Home Initiative: Everyone Stands Up Together

In 2011, the Community Foundation of St. Joseph Count began a county wide initiative to improve the quality of care in nursing homes throughout St. Joseph County. B&F Consulting provided professional development throughout the year exposing nursing home leaders to best practices and the latest in leadership development. This video highlights one of the homes, Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame, that implemented stand-up meetings. This video demonstrates how to move the morning managers' stand-up meeting out to where staff closest to the residents work so that CNAs, nurses, and managers can discuss and resolve resident-related issues on the spot.
