Plus many rapes 22 and more, complete police mess up and he has the audacity to appeal his sentence...many women came forward years ago and were ignored !!!!
I have just watched the BBC documentary on Iplayer about the conviction of Packer. Poor Emma, she was seriously let down. Packer was hiding in plain sight.
Nick mentioned the arrest of Darren Hogan. He was later given a 4 year sentence for burning his baby daughter's face with a cigarette lighter and putting her in a cold bath till she got hyperthermia.just unbelievable 😢
Only 4 years??? Unbelievable! Disgusting! Should be at least 20 years. 4 years is not a punishment for torturing a child. Unforgivable crime! I'm aghast at the leniency.
I found a couple of articles from 2008 saying that four people were arrested in connection with the arson, but I couldn't find anything about if it led to a conviction.
If I’m not mistaken, the hit and run killing (last case) was solved. Was a woman driver who was convicted. Think it was on a Crimewatch solved episode.

No, evidence indicates that in excess of 25 individuals were linked through intelligence to the murder of Sean Brown and a number of these were British state agents. Family are looking for a public inquiry.
There was no will or desire to bring them to justice, how confident were the loyalist killers that they could drive past a 'Police station , in convoy, supposedly, in a state of high alert.
I remember the reconstruction so differently. I remember he ran passed a man with a dog. I suppose that's years of not seeing it. Maybe it comes back up on a recap? Very strange
Who'd have though that 20 years later I'd be re-watching Crimewatch episodes on UA-cam!
Same here I never would of believed it right 👍
Iain Packer was eventually convicted of Emma Caldwell’s murder on 28/02/2024.

God, very recently. I'm glad Emma eventually got justice 🙏
There is a BBC podcast about it called ‘Who Killed Emma’ - such a sad situation and the police bungled some things
Apparently he has put in a request for an appeal @@hihowareyouthen

Anyone know if there were any convictions regarding the arson in Essex?
I found a couple of articles from 2008 saying that four people were arrested in connection with the arson, but I couldn't find anything about if it led to a conviction.
@@acotbc Two were charged but cannot find anything further
4:23 didn't expect to hear Arvo Pärt - Spiegel Im Spiegel on Crimewatch 🤯
Pleasantly surprised and fitted quite well.
Oldstuff does it again ❤
Nick’s joke about The Duke of Edinburgh at the end was a bit misjudged
Yeah the wife didn’t seem to like it
Great, thank you…to think at this time, the first case from its pilot, was still unsolved

Yeah,I think she was a Russian diplomat or something
She was found guilty in absentia

Was the first case (murder of Sean Brown) ever solved?
No, evidence indicates that in excess of 25 individuals were linked through intelligence to the murder of Sean Brown and a number of these were British state agents. Family are looking for a public inquiry.
Unfortunately not
No political murders in NI are ever solved.
There was no will or desire to bring them to justice, how confident were the loyalist killers that they could drive past a 'Police station , in convoy, supposedly, in a state of high alert.
In the first case how on earth could anybody beat up an elderly old gentleman who had done no harm to any members of the public what so ever
st neots case is terrifying, cant find anything about it online

Is that Bronagh Waugh in white car first reconstruction - actress from The Fall
I think so!!
I wonder if they found out who the woman and the men was who murdered that poor guy
Watch later. Fantastic Sunday afternoon canon fodder.
St Neots, that's dustubing
Poor Jacqui got tongue tied😅
Felt bad for her but it’s a tricky name 😅
No wzy involved in politics or sectarianism........runs a team called the wolf tones!
Could do with "Total policing" now
Great another episode
The range rover hit and run was some rich Russian politician who fled the country
56:01 that’s not Thomas
