Title: "Romans 7.. taking off the apron" Summary: 1. In Romans 7, Paul discusses the concept of newness of spirit and being dead to the law through the body of Christ. 2. The law is not sin itself but brings the knowledge of sin, and sin uses the law to deceive and kill. 3. Death is not total inability but rather shrinking back from God because of condemnation, producing debt, fear, and hostility. 4. Sin tempts people to do wrong so that it can get them under the law to seek self-justification, making all their works sinful. 5. Many Christians live in fear, thinking they serve a hard taskmaster and trying to protect themselves from God's judgment. 6. To be free from the law, one must die to the law in the body of Christ and be joined to Him who was raised from the dead. 7. Presenting oneself to God as a living sacrifice means acknowledging the truth of being crucified, buried, and made alive with Christ. 8. Life comes through righteousness, which is God manifested in Christ apart from the law. 9. Walking in the spirit means standing in grace, presenting oneself to God, and yielding to righteousness based on the knowledge of the gospel. 10. The mindset on the flesh is death and enmity against God, while the mindset on the spirit is life and peace. 11. Crying "Abba, Father" is an acknowledgment of sonship that brings intimacy, boldness, and comfort with God through Christ. 12. Eternal life is experienced today through daily renewal and the knowledge of the truth found in Christ. 13. Growth in faith involves increasing vocabulary and being powerfully renewed each day by seeking to know Christ. 14. The word of God is a seed planted in the heart that bears fruit over time as one pursues the knowledge of the truth. 15. God transforms people by planting the word in their lives and making them desperate for the truth, which bears fruit unto eternity.
This is delicious, OVER THE TOP, all 101 minutes. Sin is unbelief. We believe in Christ 24/7 for His light and life depending on Him to be our all and all. We never arrive we just leave where we've been. Glad to hear about Eliezer's enema and the James book.
This was really edifying. Lots of stuff I’d been digging into that just got cleared up. The sin that so easily besets us really is unbelief. Thanks again brother 🎉
Four and a half minutes in and I can sense where you're heading. My mind feels like more light bulbs are turning on. Deeper understanding....connecting the dots. The law awakens sin in us, then sin consciousness, which leads to condemnation in our minds and shrinking back. Of course we have to die to that so that we can then live to God in the way He desires. We have to be free before we can start to enjoy Him.
Amen brother, that's what Jesus Christ has been doing in me. I am so thankful He is going through the things in your life with you now. As He brings things up, I ask Him to show me where He was in those situations and He's been showing me and it's a new perspective that gives me peace and joy. That's what I mean by "rewiring my brain". Right now he's working on my forgiveness issues. I need back up prayer for that.
Good title, Thank you for the savoury meat brother, thank you Jesus, revealed from Genesis to now, great ride David, Oh the hidden gems & the spirit testifies its true, & its true in us. Glory to the Father & the first begotten who saw fit to seal us believers with the holy spirit, otherwise, how could we even begin to see so great a love. Our Lord Jesus Christ, perfection on display !, it took a few decades in my case, but finally getting through my thick apron, praise his holy name forever, thank you Lord. amen. hey David, I'm jumping for joy and feel like dancing !
I’m currently reading your genesis book I want to say thank you for making it free on an ebook. for the less fortunate such as myself I can get it at no cost Thank you bro David I’m in chapter 3 and I love it so far
I just read Job (part) about him trying to cover / sacrifice for his children. The GES represents a type of friends telling Job that’s why he has all the bad things happening because he’s sinning. I listened to a teacher who tried to say that the skins he covered Adam and Eve with were dog skins🤦♀️
I have to say, your teachings have been a revelation and huge blessing to me. Especially about sin consciousness and understanding how the practice of sin confession is wrong and makes no sense and just leads again into bondage. I didn't realize it. And also how sin has dominion over us through condemnation which comes through the law. I knew I was justified by faith but I didn't understand the depth of it, I guess. We have to constantly renew our minds indeed. It's not something that just happens in a day. Thank you very much for your teachings. They just come out like from a fountain and it's hard to take it all in.
I read the Genesis book and I can't wait for volume 2. Man I am being so blessed and drawn to the Father like never before. I am seeing Him more and more through the eyes of grace, especially in judgement. I am so blown away how now it makes so much more sense in my heart how the spirit hovering over the waters and the darkness is negative and then the 3rd day resurrection right in Genesis. That is such a beautiful thing and how i am seeing Jesus and how I am pleasing to the Father because of the Burnt Offering! I would love to hear and read more about the cup of blessing and the bread at communion...and taking it unworthily. I get confused on that, especially because there are Pastors that I used to respect and listen to that tell the congregation to confess all their sins before partaking otherwise we will be condemned...grace teachers!! Well, I have left my church and the children's ministry and have left all these dead works behind and boy, I am feeling the heat from fellow Christians and it is so crazy how resistant they are to grace. I thought they were grace until they want to prove me wrong and their hearts reveal what they really believe. Thank you Lord for sprinkling my mind with the Blood from an evil conscience!!! We can come into the very presence of God...Also I would really love to learn more about how the Veil is Christs flesh. I am so hungry for a Vision from God to keep me going foward towards a city whose builder and maker is God. May the Lord open more and more your mouth and may doors be opened unto you to reach more and more people who need to hear the Truth and agree with it. I feel very alone right now but i Know i am not
Thank you brother! Thank you for this revelation. Its amazing you are my brother and ive never met u but we are one spirit with the Lord. I woke up today with such a sense of gratitude that i still cant contain. I was able to push all the worries and the deptession and the pressure by gratitude because I'm able to go through the Veil into Gods Presence and i cant stop crying because of gratitude @davidbenjamininchrist
Lol that just means that the Lord probably wanted to have a private fellowshipping with you. Although I'm sure this one will be sufficient for the masses.
QUESTION, I WAS CURIOUS ABOUT THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT, SO I LOOKED IT UP IN GOOGLE, THIS AUTHOR WROTE THAT THE PARTS WE SEE IN THE SERMON TALKS ABOUT BEING PERFECT DOING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS THAT WE KNOW NOW ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO DO, BUT HE SAID EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE ALOT OF WORKS IN IT, ITS REALLY NOT LAW OR WORKS BUT I BEG TO DIFFEER MY UNDERSTANDING IS JESUS WAS STILL ALIVE THEY WERE UNDER THE LAW SO ALL THE DOING AND BEING IN THIS SERMON IT STRIKES ME AS LAW & WORKS, THOUGH. THOUGHTS?😮
Jesus said you're a danger of hellfire and being thrown into the lake of fire. If you don't do the things that he said in that sermon. So to do them to avoid being thrown into the lake of fire rather than believing in Jesus Christ would be works. Justification.
David Is it normal to deal with thoughts of fear? I know who Christ is and what he’s done for me and I believe the gospel of my salvation but I have fearful thoughts about works, I know salvation is not of works and I’m strict on that, I serve in ministry and I love serving but now every time I do something I have condemning thoughts of works like I’m trying to earn salvation when I’m not, and this bothers me deeply to where I can’t rest
then you're trying to justify yourself by "not working," which is legalism. you can't be accepted by "trying not to be of works" any more than you can be accepted by working. you can only be accepted by faith in the blood and only by exercising faith in the blood will you know any peace in your conscience. we are all legalists
@@davidbenjamininchrist well I know I’m justified by the blood of Jesus and him alone, I’m not trying to justify myself by not doing works, it’s the thoughts of doing works that bothers me.. I struggle to control these thoughts it causes me to lose confidence

@@davidbenjamininchrist Thank you. Is there a way I could have a link to the article he wrote? I'd like to read what he said in context so I can better understand and follow what you're saying. Thanks.
that may be more difficult because this was a year ago and i dont have the link. i deliberately obscured because there was a ring of these pastors afilliated with him that were all up in arms about our teaching. but yankee arnold regularly abuses the saints with his threats of punishment and even vengaence on the saints. that article was horrible, but it saturates his teaching.
@@davidbenjamininchrist I read it. This section caught my attention. "When works are mentioned to many of God’s children, they fail to see that it does not necessarily mean you are backloading the gospel with works and are guilty of teaching legalism by placing the believer under the law for spirituality. A man is not a legalist just because he teaches that we should live according to the scriptures laid down by God." The law has a curse of death with it. (Galatians 3:10-14). Telling a believer to be under the law (in any capacity) also means trying to place them under the curse of the law. (It's witchcraft disguised as doctrine.) If you're trying to get someone under a curse, that's witchcraft. Remember Paul saying, "Who has bewitched you?" to the Galatians. Bewitch has many meanings, one being to cast a curse or a spell. I think it's significant Paul used this phrase when talking about Judaizers trying to get believers to adopt the law (because the law brings the curse with it).
@@davidbenjamininchrist wasn’t the law a schoolmaster, and not only that if people were saved before they was misled of doing that are they still saved? I’m talking about the law.
the law is the schoolmaster in the sense that it shows you your need for Christ. its there to condemn sin and show you that there is nothing good in your flesh, and that you had to die with christ. you should check out greg jacksons channel "salvationiseasy". this is the meat of the word. if its causing you to question whether you're saved you're still in need of the basic assurance. you're stumbling over all kinds of things i teach and misunderstanding them because your'e still trying to get ahold of whether or not you're saved - how to stand in the gospel. but yes for a believer to walk in the flesh and think they're jsutified by law produces wrath in them toward god. doesn't mean they're not saved , but it makes them miserable.
@@BENN0SUKE thats one of the results of the law, repentance means to change your mind about your flesh, meaning, to realize that the law is good and that your body cannot perform it, so you have already repented if you realize this and put your entire trust in Christ and His finished works. its not something you do physically but something you refrain from trying to obtain, and realize that you already have Him in you.
