You did a great job, in great detail explaining why the part broke, and how to replace it. My right side broke two days ago, when installing the new part I am going to apply JB Plastic Weld to help support the weak areas.

Also, most of the failures seem to be on the passenger side (just like my 2016 convertible), and the arm where the end of the spring attaches to the sliding door, is really weak and gets distorted, just like mine..........Thanks Chevy........

Did the linkage that runs on a slide break also on yours . Looking for a part number on it . Good video

Not sure which linkage you are referring to but you cannot get individual parts, you have to but the entire quarter panel.

You are probably looking for the pusher slide that sits on the metal track. PN is 84237014 and was provided on the video by X-Coastie. This video from Ray Amour and the one from X-Coastie are both great help. I like how Ray mentions the 2 white clips that requires a small movement to remove the piece, and also his use of the plastic trim removal tool. Thanks so much Ray.

Did you also replace the driver side, I think it will also fail?

I did not. It has not failed yet, but I think you are right and it will go at some time. Parked in the garage for the winter with the top up so the part is under strain all winter.

@@Rayarmour Yes, under strain all winter in Ontario where the cold can caust some contraction/brittleness - but opposite problem in Texas where there is so much heat I think it caused the spring tongue to weaken/buckle in the 105 degree days here in the summer. Car is only 4 months old and already the right (passenger) side is broken with only 2400 miles on the odometer of my 2024 RS 3LT. Ultimately, I feel I'm going to have to epoxy/JB Weld the the spring tongue where the spring attaches with some thin metal strip for added support (provided it allows enough clearance), but also JB Weld on the yoke part you mentioned that broke because of only 3 clip tabs on both sides, plus also the cover finger that gets pushed against by the slide finger. On the hanging downward cover finger, I think I will epoxy a 90 degree metal strip to the back for added support, then also epoxy some metal to the slide finger. The slide finger will be a bit of a challenge because it has a lot of openings, so I think to first super glue some thin metal strip to the top alongside the backbone, then epoxy on top of that to the backbone. Lubrication too seems mandatory. Bummer, but I love the car which replaced my 2000 Z28 with 35,000 miles and was in showroom condition. Thanks for help Ray.
