I refuse to sell my fc and actually build it because of you man! It's hard to find positive inspiration in the rotary world. Everyone seems to spread hearsay, hate and gouge prices more than help each other out in the rotary world anymore. It was so much more positive of a community 10 years ago. Thanks for what you do dog! Hope I run into you at the track one day.
I would love for you to know that your RX-8 is my inspiration for my engine removal process right now. I've got a 05 RX-8 in that beautiful red color that I'm swapping a working 13b into... I do not have a shop, I barely have some tools... So playing in the mud with a cherry picker is tough and making this difficult. But seeing the "Potential" of what my car could be, oh it gives me chills.
There's the difference. Different strokes for different folks. Either you're a parking lot groupie or you're a track day hooligan. Very seldom can the same person be both. 🙂 You might think the 8 is slow, but you kept pace with the 718 Speedster. I think that's a testament to both the driver ability and the great chassis of the RX8. You make up a ton of time in the corners where the 718 just can't do it. It only makes up time on the straights. Getting more people out to really experience their rides is always the challenge. I would say 90-95% of sports car owners have never visited the track. They strictly base their performance to whatever they see or read from the internet or other sources. As long as they can cruise down the street in their pimped out ride, they think they're the next Aryton Senna.. 😉😊 Great to see you've improved on your time! Seat time is so invaluable. Simulator time can only get you so far. Getting out there and actually doing it is the only way you'll understand your limits as well as your rides. Keep on rotaxing! 😎
Mine didn’t crack till a few years ago when Mazda replaced the airbag and the car sat outside for a week. Had the car since 2005 and I’m the only owner.
I just bought a 2nd RX-8 today. Super low miles Evolve edition (30k). My first one is pretty much my daily and modded track car, this 2nd one will be a weekend car.
Yeah nothing like having fun on a flowing circuit with a rx8. Regularly get mine out at Phillip Island which is an awesome track where they hold motoGP.
Awesome run I am trying to get my 93 rx7 fd up to par to make a trackday. Rotary cars are engineered to do well on roadcourses. I will post a video on youtube when I do that trackday
a used Rx8 with all papers full serveice history ( usuall) 100k 180k Khm not rebuild engine are sold for 4 k to 8 k here some Rx8 with rebuild engines but working fine go down to 3k always with 100l to 180k 200k khm (in Greece) i really want to get one was watching the video and got curious is it worth changing gearing ? to make it snapy ?
Love the vids man, nice track day… I’m going to unoh up in Lima Ohio and I’ll be tryna get some more track days and possibly some drift days, would be awesome to meet up and drive some.
prices are so diffrent in the uk, i paid 608 usd for a rust free body and the same for a good used engine 1217 in total then about 1000 on mods.. brakes, suspention , engine mods.. used daily for the last 3 years.
I was not aware that there was a formula Mazda in the US, until I saw a video drop from Rob Dahm (not a subscriber just in my feed). Now I would love to see you grab a drive in one of these and hit the track with fore mentioned Rob Dahm, have a bit of a you tuber showdown. Maybe down the track you could pick 1 up they sure appeal to me with the renesis and six speed sequential, plus there is a series to race in! You know you want to do it.
@@RADPotential well maybe your followers could start hitting Rob up to get it to happen. I will certainly be pestering him a bit as it would be a good match.
hey bro I see you're a super fan of rotary haha. I need help My rx8 works perfect, I have the engine light on but it's because of the p2070. it can be both the ssv and the selenoid. I know I have to clean it or change it. But yesterday everything was fine until in 2nd I went to put on gear and my car drowned and it had never happened to me. will it be the same problem?
Love the rx8 content man! I just need to save abit for a set of tires for after the event, fuel, race lic, track day ticket and Brakes all round. then im good to go for a sick track day in my modded Rx8! ^_^
God bless you man, they aren't many people sticking up for the rotaries and educating the community on them, keep up the good work.
word.

One day them RX8's are going to be big money. I'm old enough to remember when nobody wanted the bandit (or any), Trans Am...
I want a 77 trans am BAD!

The sound when the aux ports open up. 🤤
I'm convinced the rx8 passenger airbag cover comes cracked from the factory. 😆
100%.

That's dope chasing a new and 'a bit' more expensive sport car

What kind of bits do I need to port my plates?

I have a friend who owns a formula mazda. It has crossed my mind. I just don't have a place to store one of those cars
As in. I would love to do that but I don't have youtube money at all lol
@@RADPotential well maybe your followers could start hitting Rob up to get it to happen. I will certainly be pestering him a bit as it would be a good match.
it would be more than appreciated! The RADx7 Should draw some attention when it gets done
Freaking epic. Can't wait for DGRR this year.
Look fun thanks

Great vid man, perfect to watch after work
Great video! What is your ride height? (Fender to center of the wheel). Have you experienced disadvantages going lower?
Love the rx8 content man!

You ever think of putting any of the old rotary engines before the renesis into the rx8?
I still have a full bridge 12a sitting on the cart in the shop, it may go in the car if the renesis lets go, but it will probably run forever haha
@@RADPotentiallol if it ever does let go would be exciting to see it with a 12a turbo
Hearing of people doing hybrid rx8 engines with rx7 housings, any thoughts on those ? Here in Australia
@@coastcafeequipment Wow first I’m hearing of this Australia and NZ really do some cool things with rotary’s.
Not bad considering the track.
Great video! Question what is your bumper on your Rx8 mine is broken and i need a new one.
Ita just a stock GT bumper
Wish my rx7 would stay running so I could drive it on a track lol
I know the pain. I finally found my front iron for mine. It's been almost a year off the road.
I'ma turbo charge my rx8 then hit the track.
Eh sorry not sorry about you paddock footage. Maybe next time I can actually do a full run with you all.
Haha no worries at all!! be loud! It was windy and I was being in the moment at the tracka
:)
