FYI..Survival tv shows have always been popular in Australia since I was a kid in the 70s and 80s. Shows like the Leyland brothers, Harry Butler in the wild, Bush Tucker man, Les Bredl the barefoot bushman all had an element of teaching survival and "bushcraft" in the Australian bush. Probably had a huge impact on young Steve Irwin growing up watching all that content. Other notables were Malcolm Douglas and Alby Mangels who remind me more of what Les does, survival mixed with adventure, add an element of drama or timeline to give things a sense of plot..I love watching Les's content on youtube he reminds me a lot of those old shows. Great interview.

The strength of this channel is the quality of the guests it attracts. And this is down to the fact Curt is very logical, non-opinionated and open-minded. But far from naive; this will never become a woo-woo channel because everything comes under close logical scrutiny.

Years ago for the 1st time my wife wanted to go deer hunting w/me. It was windy, so no deer but she commented on how beautiful the woods were as the sun rose. I said “it is truly a beautiful thing to watch the natural world wake up.” I went on to say “I feel more @ 1 in the woods or on the lake here locally, Canada or a local river/stream w/God than ANY church I’ve ever set in & listened to a message.” Setting on the boat casting my lure out on a beautiful lake in Canada every yr for my 1wk vacation in the spring, or fishing a local lake in Missouri during the Spring Spawn, Loons, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, smallmouth, Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch, Crappie, largemouth, perch & all panfish, etc., etc., brings me closer to “God”, (traditional Christianity), & hunting whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrels, rabbits, etc., for my 1wk of vacation in the fall, charges my batteries, brings me closer to the “Creator”, than any church service I’ve ever set through growing up till the here & now as a married man 27+yrs, father of 3 sons, Grandfather to 2 grandsons, to when I was a young boy. My family also can bring me to that level of spirituality when my family is all together for the holidays or just over on Sunday dinner just like when I was a boy at my Grandparents that were born in 1912 for Sunday dinner, listening to their stories, wisdom & guidance brought me there as a young boy. As for experiencing “supernatural”, and/or the phenomena of Bigfoot? I have personally seen 2 different & separate individual Bigfoot & another experience when as a teenage when paintball was just becoming popular, my cousin & I was playing like um, “capture the fort”, walking into the woods I had no hat on my head, my cousin was wearing a baseball cap. In about 20acres of land w/a creek running through the middle as a “territory guide”, I remember seeing my cousin across the creek & the baseball cap was standing out like a light bulb & used it’s color to try to shoot him w/the paintball but to no avail. Later he assaults my position but game ended in stalemate. We walked out about 100yards from the trail into the woods & we were talking about going to town that night to look for the “ladies”. As we discussed our evening plans it was very warm that day & I take my hat off & wipe the sweat off my brow.. Almost simultaneously my cousin & I noticed I was wearing the hat & he was not, but had not came together until approximately 100yards from the field leading to the house. We never could recall how I came to be wearing the hat & he stated he could see me on my “territory”, shooting paintballs at me as he could see the bright gold colored hat, but during the whole game we had never came together, but yet he was wearing said hat then when he ran to the “Fort”, he saw me wearing said hat & did not come within each other at the closest of 50yrds until we walked out. We settled on the fact, as he always wore a watch; that we had lost approximately 15-20 minutes that we could not recall what either of us were doing, where we were or that we had never came into contact w/one another during our paintball game. I’ve never claimed it as an “Alien Abduction”, as years later I learned that missing time, or wearing the incorrect clothing was a sign of abduction. I still do not think and/or believe I have then or ever been abducted by aliens. The separate 2 times I saw Bigfoot in 1985, then in 2016 I never felt that they were alien beings, or I was in danger of any kind. I have heard “clacking rocks”, “tree knocks”, & 1 call around midnight upon returning home w/my wife immediately after shutting the engine of my truck off & shutting the doors we heard the call. Around 6 months later my wife came into the house & told me I needed to come out to the chicken coup. I went outside, opened the door w/the doorknob & every single chicken I had was dead. Wings ripped off, heads yanked off, bodies torn in two, but none of them were eaten upon, only killed. About a week later my English Bulldog was barking around 9:00pm & I could tell she was very agitated & was trying to warn us so I thought upon no longer hearing her barking, I retrieved my firearm as I knew something was outside that should not be there. I found her laying in the driveway (I live 5/10’s of mile from a creek on 60 acres of woods/pasture land in the country), on her side not moving & not responding to my calls. I walked to her & she did not move. I shown my flashlight upon her & saw she was dead. Upon closer examination the left side of her head was bruised as if a massive blow struck her crushing the bones in her face that looked as if it was 1 solitary blow that killed her. I felt w/the chickens & finding my English Bulldog dead from a massive blow to the head, I felt that I had done something wrong while hunting/walking into the woods that angered “something”? It was witnessed by myself & my son while standing on the porch we saw approximately a 6ft tall Black “Bear”, standing on it’s hind legs as Black Bears are becoming more numerous in the area of Missouri in which I live. However, it squatted as if to try to hide, but turned to run & of which I assumed it would fall to all 4’s to run but remained upright & ran away on 2 legs. I was then in a somewhat state of shock as I realized that it was no Black Bear as they do not run on their back legs & run fast enough to disappear within 3-5 seconds from our viewpoints. The 1 I saw as a young “Pre-Teen”, boy was late at night approximately 12:00am, while crossing the creek sitting in the car w/my aunt & uncle a 8ft tall, bright red hair on 2 legs walks out right in front of the car & gave a subtle glance toward the car but not directly looking at us. It was around 500lbs (guess?), as it reminded me of a very tall basketball player, lanky, & weighted 500lbs simply because it was 8ft tall so the weight had to have been within nominal perimeters for a being of such height. I never lost my love of the outdoors, or grew fearful of lay inside the deep dark woods & I would not swear to being abducted because of “changing hats”, w/the loss of 15-20mins. That is not to say that when I go into the woods that I do not carry of rifle, handgun & knife and have ever since my 1st sighting & will continue to do so until I am no longer able to go into the woods as a result of elderly age. I’d be interested in hearing anyone’s comments and/or thoughts. Thank You, to Curt Jaimngal & to Les Stroud on the wonderful interview/podcast! Great stuff!!!!

What I appreciate about Les Stround is his gentle masculinity: he is never aggressive in his actions or words yet his strength of being is never in question. I view him a a fascinating, kind, gentle giant. Being Australian, I think Les should get here one day and explore the 'Yowie' phenomenon which is the most common name (one of many) for Australia's 'Big Foot' phenomenon .... 'a spirit which roams the outback at night'.

@@sevengrapes1257 I understand a bunyip is a considered to be a spirit or creature which is found in or around billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes. Like the 'Yowie' the name originally comes from aboriginal oral story telling of eastern Australia. Whether Bunyips and Yowies share a correlation I'm not sure. Other aboriginal nations within Australia have their own names for the Yowie (described much like Bigfoot as a tall, hairy, ape-like creature) such as known as Quinkin, Joogabinna, Ghindaring, Jurrawarra, Myngawin, Puttikan, Doolaga, Gulaga, Tthoolagal, Yaroma, Noocoonah, Wawee, Pangkarlangu, Jimbra and Tjangara.

Les is the most sane and rationale voice regarding the bigfoot phenomenon. He is not in the bigfoot community but has presented tremendous, rationale thought on the topic. Joe Rogan really did a huge disservice to Les Stroud after ridiculing his bigfoot episodes. He can preach about the existence if DMT elves and lobby for more UFO information but bigfoot, the most rationale and flesh and blood of these three paranormal topics is a joke. I think Les Should do a new bigfoot series on the subject and make some money, stir the reality of this phenomenon up again with his integrity and honest film making at the forefront. It's what he does best. Keep on being you Les! Thanks for.having him on Kurt! Great show!

Les is an authentic person, and I appreciate that aspect very much about him. Interesting discussion! I've always felt that the word "paranormal", just like "conspiracy theory", was introduced to obfuscate and denigrate. There is no such thing as paranormal. "Woo woo" is another version out there. There are things that are rare, unusual, or mysterious, but reality is what it is. The nature of reality doesn't much care about the labels that we choose to use; but we should. We should because it informs our perceptions, and that is a critical junction. Way too much of our history, and our experiences, are written off using these terms, and are thus minimized and largely ignored for inquiry and contemplation. It's a shame, really. Curt, if you read this, I mentioned before the numerous and deep rabbit holes. I have now caught up on most, if not all, of your past interviews at much expense of time. I am thoroughly enjoying your journey! 💕 You touched on some very important themes in this interview, to my way of thinking, and am excited by all expanding understanding and perceptions. This was very interesting to me with just experiencing a spirit attachment. Someone was murdered in a house I had bought and wasn’t told . It’s in the woods and I fixed to make it livable. I started noticing my bed was kneading around my body at night when I was sleeping alone while being wide awake. It got more intense with the feeling of a body coming in and out of me at night while laying in bed. I was loosing sleep trying to figure what was going on and finally told my wife she thought I was loosing it. I then got a religious counselor/ friend to come and we all prayed and smudged, it didn’t work then I got a spiritual liberator /someone who understood more of the spiritual world. She had instructed me me to understand this world which I dove right into and went down that rabbit hole . I came to the conclusion that this conscience ness attached itself to me and I had the power with meditation and different techniques I had the power to get it to ascend. This opened up myself to a whole new understanding which you Les explained in a way that is just like I would have explained it. Thanks to you both , great video and there is definitely more to everything then we can imagine.

I have a relative that is a correctional officer at a prison in the central California San Joaquin valley, and he told me that one of his co-workers, a fellow c/o, claims to actually interact with different Bigfoot(feet) in the mountains about 2hrs northeast of Fresno. Its not that far distance-wise, just a slow speed limit along the winding road. He swears that the dude is completely serious, when he talks about it.

The tinnitus angle is one that comes up quite a lot when people first engage in things like meditation and breathing techniques. People will start to hear a ringing in the ears and say "great, now I have tinnitus". But theres no hearing loss or damage, no trauma to the ear. They'll find its not quite tinnitus, there isnt a ringing in the ears, they are actually hearing a tone that they didn't notice before. All I can tell you is that its pretty common when people begin to engage in different spiritual activities.

Being a Bigfoot researcher, I had my own mindset about the beings. And yes, I did actually see one in the flesh recently.
But after listening to Les' thoughts on these being and what capacities they may have, he's planted a bug in my mind.
When I return to the location that I "know" these being inhabit, I will try the telepathy with them.
And as a footnote, there has been a UFO sighted in the same area as the beings...It's just hard to wrap my head around it all.

Welcome to the tinnitus club Les, I got it years ago from being on a job site with 20+ welding generators all running under load on the ground level of a 5 story deck job, all echoing off the walls and hills. I have no ear protection on and did this every day for months. I ended up losing 75% of the hearing in my left ear for a few months and had constant ringing in both ears to this day. There is no cure for it either,my doctor literally told me I just have to learn to live with it.which you can actually do,the ringing becomes background to everything else once you naturally learn to ignore it.but it has a big impact on your hearing.

Excellent!!!! ... As a German Biologist - this is one of the most stirring events I ever encountered. I had a Bigfoot experience myself 1974 in a vast deep forest in Sweden - encountering those mind boggling gigantic footprints in soft soiled forest - no paths - all wild. I sensed to better calmly move back - fast. I an still not ready for such an encounter - not as a Coward- more as having no idea how to maintain calm in an encounter. I believe the telepathic communication makes the most sense. Animals may have more of this ability than we imagine - as a RADAR - to be alerted. It may take a long experience ALONE in the wild to get a glimpse of that - and only THEN - we will be accepted as part of this mysterious. The ancient world of the Shamans - who could communicate with all LIFE, the Cosmos....

This is probably the first one I've found that I listen for the host and his responses and questioning. Not so much the guest or subject matter, no no no. It's just the triple shot of *no bullshit* mixed with the plain intelligence of a man who conducts the interview never ceasing to blow me away with the control, discipline and direction of a F-16 fighter pilot. Just beautiful work, and keeps me wanting more for sure.

I believe everything and I believe nothing. There’s another saying that I can’t quite remember but essentially; take it serious, but hold it lightly.
