Pilgrim is one of the best Clapton's albums imho, the groove and the sound he experiments in this album has no other replicas in others he made.. so underrated and so wonderful, this morning I've listened to River of tears and I've listened to all the album. Masterpiece.

This song is a masterpiece. Everything went together. The music, the beats, lyrics and the voice was so perfect. Every time I play this song, I have to listen to it twice. Can you imagine he do this song for 10 minutes. I wonder what he would add to it. He keep adding music on top of the same music almost throughout the whole song. Amazing!

Underrated record.... A lot of the great artists of the 60's 70's music was slept on during the late 80's and through as their fan bases become older, less interested / more busy with the big things in life and the pop charts went full blown grunge / gangster hip hop. So records like this went somewhat under the radar as werent appreciated by the younger audience and perhaps too far removed from earlier material to be appreciated by the older generation. Personally always loved the record and nice to hear the blues man go soulful.

A brilliant song by a brilliant artist. "Pilgrim" is my favorite of Eric Clapton's CD's--it's edgy, soul-searching and threads each song together with an artistry only Mr. Clapton could achieve. This man matches his extraordinary guitar work with incredible lyrics and vocals. Pure genius--there's just no other way to put it!!

I love the fact that this song and Eric's steps meander along and then we get to enjoy that powerful climax at the end......what great strumming! He really is a master artist.

Hard to believe this album came out almost 15 years ago. Clapton tried hard on this album and it is very underrated.
I would like to see him come out with one more original popular hit. He's still got it.

This song breaks my heart, but only in the way that creates... a better love.
I can't ever forget his loss of his baby boy, because his love for him.... I hear in every note he sings now. I owe them that.
