Luke 21:36 doesn't mean we should pray to be counted worthy though...that's a common misinterpretation. We are not counted worthy through our works but through our relationship with Jesus. It means pray always SO THAT you may be counted worthy. In other words ensure your relationship with Jesus is real through a living active prayer life. This relates to the partial rapture theory also which is wrong.... we do not escape because of being "good enough" but through true FAITH. .

You still need to repent and confess your sins. You need to believe in Jesus dying on the cross for all of your/our sins. He then arose from the dead on the third day. He conquered death. All who believe in what Jesus did on the Cross will have all of their sins forgiven and will receive Salvation and Eternal Life.
My son is having surgery tomorrow. He knows I love the Lord and I'm knowledgeable in the Gospel. I shared with him that while I'm not praying for my death I fear it not. I know how beautiful it will be when I cross over.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. love never fails.
I always thought of it as a guide for us humans to understand what love really is and how to behave that way. But I realize that it’s talking about God because God IS Love, Hallelujah!
Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6) and his hope is that we accept the truth and not perish (2 Peter 3) Love Rejoices (Luke 15:7) because in heaven there is rejoice when a sinner repents. I do think though that we are to know these facts and that they are important and should apply to our personal lives and relationships as well. God bless. I have been noticing the evil change in the world for the past 30-40 years so I pray to God that he will forgive me for the sin, but I feel that judgement day will be at least another 100 years, so those that wish to repent have time to do so.
