Nicholas Moore great guys doing great work. Im not from TX, not even an american but l admire very specific kinds of people and these guys are one of them.
Kingwood, TX appreciates everything you are doing!! We know you are being taken away from your friends and family through this. But we are so thankful for each and everyone of you
at 1:15 you can hear them say: "I'll take this load and come back and get another one" "Yeah 'ta bueno'" [Yeah that's good] (in spanish) So they at least speak some spanish to go with their faint chicano accent.
These guys are awesome. I've lived through Allison, Alicia, Ike, and now Harvey. You don't feel like the city is recovering until the debris disappears. These guys are a huge help.
These are the guys doing the job that few are willing or even capable of doing as well or as fast as these men are getting it done. Get Rrrr Done Houton!!!
That's a lot of mold and mildew my good man!! Put a mask on!!! And THANK YOU for helping these people! 50 TONS! I used to pick up 10-13 tons off of 5 city blocks when I did trash... 50 TONS in 30feet (6 houses) is CRAZY!!
Weedy Gonzalez Nope, everything will go straight to temporary dumps then ultimately landfills. I've worked on these storm dedris removal projects before.
So sad, especially for those without flood insurance. I purchased flood insurance years ago even though they claim i don't live in a flood-risk area. I'd rather pay the $450 per year for the peace-of-mind of knowing i got some back-up, just in case!
Piles of trash, drywall, furniture and stuff, all about as high/wide as the houses themselves line my neighbor streets Shit's bad around here, and it's far from a badly damaged area compared to other sides of the city
God bless garbagemen. I wish once they finished their great work in Houston they would come to youtube comments section and win the grand prize of master cleaners.
Loony Hurricane Harvey caused the flooding of homes, etc. Then 2 reservoirs did controlled release of water that also flooded neighborhoods like this one mentioned. Kingwood is 3 miles north of me and it flooded bad. Parts of my neighborhood flooded too.
ok, the houses are flooded with everything innit and after the flood the house owner bring the damaged furniture in their frontyards !? sorry sometimes its really hard to think haha ;D
Loony yeah, since it's damaged and filled with mold and sewer water it's not a very good idea to keep it inside of your house, it's brought outside next to the street so that the garbagemen can pick it up
I went down to Harlingen tx. Went down to the beaches. I was appalled. The people who are on the beach party eat and leave they're garbage right there. Even if there are garbage barrels. If I lived down there I would be on the 4 wheeler everyday collecting the garbage. How can we clean the oceans when people put it in faster then you can take it out. Of course big business has a lot to do with to. Bad enough its on our planet but now its all around our planet. Should be BIG BIG fines. And now they want go to Mars. WAKE UP PEOPLE.
idk about you but I do see women working as garbagemen (garbagepeople?) in my neighborhood (outside of houston) it's not many but they're there. and fyi most ment don't want to be part of this industry either, it's part of the reason why those few who do become garbagemen get payed pretty well (relatively speaking)
Civil servants like these men are what make countries work.
Primarch Alpharius Bullseye.
Thank god for these guys that do the jobs which go unnoticed and unappreciated. American heroes, all of them
good ol boys
So sad to see all the memories, heirlooms and things with sentimental value lost.
Good guys

Latinos hard at work, keep up the great work.
where do you see latinos? or are you delusinal?
Yugislolas peniok both of them are Latinos

People like this keep civilization going.
Why can't we pay half of what we pay our politicians to civil servants (garbage men, police, postal workers)
We at least see a return on our money
Can someone make them something? Like a really unique art piece? These men deserve something!
No they dont they suck
Wow the clean up will be a monumental task. These guys deserve a huge thank you!! My heart breaks for all the residents who lost their memories!!
These men deserve more respect from our society than most people realize. Especially after this kind of disaster.
Great men..
These are the guys doing the job that few are willing or even capable of doing as well or as fast as these men are getting it done. Get
Rrrr

Hey don't forget all the people and concrete too!
Good on them.
Crazy overtime pay
Wonder if the stuff will be sorted and recycled
Weedy Gonzalez Nope, everything will go straight to temporary dumps then ultimately landfills. I've worked on these storm dedris removal projects before.
Most of the garbage is contaminated (lots of sewer flooding) so a lot of stuff can't be recycled even if it was recyclable before the storm
That poor lady
I can't imagine the environmental impact of all that waste
So sad, especially for those without flood insurance. I purchased flood insurance years ago even though they claim i don't live in a flood-risk area. I'd rather pay the $450 per year for the peace-of-mind of knowing i got some back-up, just in case!

Can't some of it be recycled or is it already too damaged
Jmcj01 Jmcj01 it probably gets sorted its too much work sorting it all now especially when it's out in public
Mold
Mold is a big problem, a lot of it isn't recyclable in the first place, though. Drywall, furniture, etc.
Also, a lot of the the flooding was from sewers and bayous, which can get pretty freakin nasty
why dont they build a house above in the air, like the traditional Malay village house
some parts of this city do have homes built on stilts.
Finally a piece without a political slant.
Do they have permission of the property owners?
FortuneZero permission for what? to clean up? if its on the curb it's considered trash
Fake Name on the curb yes. But you also see them grabing away in the middle of the lawn.
Haven't seen a garbage man in weeks... (._.)
Still haven't seen one (._,)
I wondered how you save a house.
In a way, I guess you don't.
I don't understand. Why is she trying to salvage her belongings. Why doesn't she just take them all? Is it just because everything is destroyed?
Stainless Stove Pretty much everything in these houses was damaged by the flood (mold, sewer water, etc) so saving the big stuff isn't really possible
But why nobody is living there and the whole furniture is outside??? I don't get it...
Loony Hurricane Harvey caused the flooding of homes, etc. Then 2 reservoirs did controlled release of water that also flooded neighborhoods like this one mentioned. Kingwood is 3 miles north of me and it flooded bad. Parts of my neighborhood flooded too.
ok, thanks Tamara, now i get it.. slightly, but please why move all of your stuff from the house into the front yard and dont take it with you ?
ok, the houses are flooded with everything innit and after the flood the house owner bring the damaged furniture in their frontyards !? sorry sometimes its really hard to think haha ;D
Loony yeah, since it's damaged and filled with mold and sewer water it's not a very good idea to keep it inside of your house, it's brought outside next to the street so that the garbagemen can pick it up
Finally something good from vice
Good to know the Big Show found a new career!
that old lady almost made me cry, almost.

Wow inspiring to do a normal low level job! Heart of the effort
Thank You for your service but Just don't leave my trashcan in the middle of the street.
BLACKFRIDAY GONNA BE CRAAAAAAAAAAAZY! OR CYBER MONDAY LOL
Welcome, it's be great to safe that ✋️
hey man come to Orange County Texas
Texas seems to have lots of garbage
John Modarres everything is bigger in texas
This was after hurricane Harvey genius
Why put it in landfill? Surely burning is better,?
Notice the term "Garbageman" not "Garbageperson". Why don't women want to be equally represented in this industry?
I agree. Where do I sign to get someone fired and render them jobless?
Glen Cychosz Garbageieur
