Decent beginning, shifted gears to what everyone knows their respective genres to be, their specials were fun, but the ending felt a bit rushed, and the creators had their way of saying that in their work. Seems legit.
Great video! Also the creator of Naruto Masashi Kishimoto didn't make the 300 episodes of Naruto filler. The manga/source material goes from the Sasuke retrieval arc directly to the time skip. You can blame studio pierrot for the filler.
@@chillreview636 I think that alone might be the biggest similarity if you look at the Absurd Filler Arc, and the initial criticism people had over Family Guy. They both right there feel low watered down versions of the genre for the lowest common denominator. Naruto thanks to the filler shit felt like the anime version of Family Guy's cutaway gags. Family Guy on the other hand got flak because people felt jokes for adult comedy needed to be set up. South Park for example will make an entire episode filled with jokes, but the whole episode is all driven by a plot focusing on one big joke or idea. They all flow and feel connected. Family Guy on the other hand with its cutaways came off as like "Shit, our writing is bad, quick, give me a random absurd joke to fill the time." A filler arc in anime is effectively their variant of the cutaway gag. Just random bullshit to pad out the timer except over a number of episodes instead of a 10 second window given anime is plot driven, whereas Family Guy is episodic and can for the most part be watched in any order without any real need to focus on the question of "How does this contribute to the episode overall?" Comedy in general around the mid 2000s got really elitist and snobby because of the rise of Dane Cook. I remember when he was achieving meteoric success, almost every other comedian viscerally shit on him because to them, they were doing an art, he was just spitting out random ass, low effort tirades he called jokes and getting the applause they were wanting. Family Guy had this kind of a relationship with South Park and the Simpsons. The whole point of Cartoon Wars was poking at the senseless chaotic comedy of Family Guy being very juvenile because it was done in the simplest way vs Simpsons and South Park who would set up a 20 minute premise, then come up with jokes that fed into that premise. Whereas with Family Guy you had an average of 6 cutaway gags per episode and they didn't really drive the plot or the premise, they were just out of place. Then later they started reusing the same cutaway gags like Peter hitting his knee or Conway Twiddy and they would drag on for fucking ever. I’m on ep 476 of Shippuden so far and I’m gonna tell ya it’s not like Family Guy.
I'm talking about their cultural impact homie, not their specific stories 😂
I haven’t forgotten about you Chill. As long as you stop with the anti-black nonsense, I’ll only keep occasionally checking up on you.
Name one thing I said that was anti-black.
@@chillreview636 Oh okay lol. That’s easy because of how detailed you were in your old video.
Let’s go back to your “What is the main takeaway from the Boondocks video”. All the anti-black stereotypes that you invoked about black people that anti-black people like Candace Owens, Bill Cosby, and Nazi Kayne West use.
Everything I already pointed out clearly went over your head because you were only fixating on a certain word I kept calling you to call you out.
Are you sure you want me to go into more detail about that again? It’ll be a turn off to your target audience.
@@Hesaysalot Hahahahahaha I have made jokes criticizing both Cosby and Kanye in my videos. For someone who watches my stuff you sure don't pay attention. Also, you still haven't given me a direct quote of me being anti-black. Have you considered that maybe, just maybe, you're the one who is horribly misinformed about who I am and what I stand for? Just a thought
@@chillreview636 I think it’s more that you either don’t realize what you’re saying is anti-black or don’t care if it is? That’s why other black people besides me were calling you an Uncle Tom among other things in the comment section of that video.
Your own words disprove everything you’re claiming that you don’t do. That’s why it’s so easy to take you down a notch, you did the work for me already.
I’m only leaving you alone so long as you don’t fire up anymore anti-black rhetoric. If you want to rehash a battle you already lost, I’m happy to quote word for word all the anti-black stuff you said for others to read again in the comment section.
