They should not have let Myles Garrett go unchecked the entire game and put him one on one with Dan Moore. I had more faith in the Browns coming into this match up because I know they’re better than most people will give them credit for especially since they were 2-8. Over Pittsburgh's last 3 games the play calling on 1st and 2nd downs has been run the ball even though the running game is not producing. Then on 3rd and forever Tomlin yells out, "Hey Russ, can you save us on 3rd and 7 or longer?" Pittsburgh has to switch things up offensively. And I never want to see Justin Fields throw a pass over 7 yards again. After Russ hit CA3 for the go ahead touchdown, Russ should've been Pittsburgh's QB on their next possession.
I am not sure how you not looking at author smith as the problem. We run the ball on first and second down 50% of the time. Teams know it’s coming. We send Najee up the middle so much it’s hard to watch. Najee is a good running back but author smith is making him look like mid running back. The run game is Terrible for the amount of opportunities they get. We need 4 years to essentially win the game and we throw a 35 yard pass, in the snow and rain. Mike Tomlin inherited an entire coaching staff and team from Cowher (who could make you pull your hair out with his Run, Run, Pass, Punt plan at times). In SB43, he had over 75% of the team (all play makers and pro-bowlers minus one defensive player in Joey Porter). There are those people who will never acknowledge this average coach inherited a war machine and promptly ran the team into the ground. I remember when Urinating Tree pointed out if not for "High End Talent" bailing him out, he would have been fired years ago but I digress. In a decade where the Patriots went to 5 SB and the playoffs all 10 years with 190 pro-bowl appearances, Tomlin had 3 playoff wins...with 191 pro-bowl appearances. This includes having Ben, Bell, and Brown. Those three wins? Include the Bungles being the Bungles, beating a rookie QB, and another team limping into the playoffs. The guy is mediocre at best. He cannot manage a clock. He cannot get what a challenge is. That nonsense of him standing on the field during a kickoff return; how could anyone be that oblivious? He cannot control the locker room (just look at what happened with Bell's holdout). This guy's greatest show of being carried is how flatfooted this team plays especially when facing teams like; take the Browns tonight. Short week...8-2 vs 2-8?
