      I've painted my cork board and added Fimsa style markers (the red and white curbing), using blue masking tape. I paint it BEFORE I laid it down using your method a few years ago.

    • @teeteetoto
      @teeteetoto 7 років тому +1

      The cork takes flat black paint really well.

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  7 років тому

      teeteetoto Thanks for the info
      Should I paint it white first then red strips?

    • @teeteetoto
      @teeteetoto 7 років тому +1

      vitoman50 yes, paint white then the red. Only after spraying the cork board black first. The flat black really dies act as a primer, and the cork will soak it up.

    What do you put under your HO track. And do you tack the track down to the plywood if you have time let me know thx j🇺🇸✝️

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  2 роки тому

      Johnny, no I put it straight on the wood. There is foam insulation glued to the underside of the wood board. No I don't screw my track down, I glue the cork trail roadbed the the board so the track don't move around. The 1/4 in mdf does the rest. If the track breaks or gets damaged it is easier to remove and replace.

      You could put cork under the track. Are you doing it to keep the noise of the board down?

      Excellent series of building a track.
      But I wonder, the blue foam you have as a hand rail, suddenly it was black in other videos.
      Did you change the color of the foam or did you paint it?
      And if you painted it, how did you do it?
      Very thankful for a answer.
      Regards.

      @@filmtajm35 I started of with black but changed it to blue to look like sky.
