UPDATE: the VOD of the event has been privated. Please note DO NOT HARASS ANYONE I talk about in these videos. I’ve been seeing Zane getting a lot of negative comments, like I said in the video this was not Zane’s fault and he earned his championship win beating all of the other players. One bad judge call does not taint his victory and the judge through the rest of the event called every match down the middle. Please do not harass or bully anyone I talk about in these videos.
I guess what also contributed to the poor call the GM made was that he was way too low to observe the whole thing unfolding. There's a reason why GMs in our community/ G3 games here are STANDING and looking at the stadium from a higher angle, we also have another GM as an extra pair of eyes.
I just hope takara tomy compensate Por in some way. I am one of the participants in G1 and I absolutely understand how brutally hard it is to even get into the finals of the g1, dont even mention about winning the g1 and represent your contry to participate in the asia championship. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and Por lost in such a unfair way. I would be extremely satly if I were him. 😢
Everything happened all too quickly, it's unfortunate that it left a stain in Zane's winning the Asia Cup. However, Zane's winning the Asia Cup was no easy feat, defeating strong competitors and rising to the top. As much as TT should review to improve the judging system, we should be mindful and respectful. Sending any hates to Zane is unfair and uncalled for. Rewatching the footage, I would say it would have been a relaunch as it doesn't look like Wizard Rod had made any contact with the stadium. Therefore, it's considered a mid-air, which typically results in a relaunch.
Let's not speculate about what Zane was thinking at that moment. Under such immense stress, I imagine it would be difficult to assess the situation perfectly.
I was there for the live tournament, both players look confused. Probably due to the language and also what really happened was too fast. As a player, I doubt you can really see from your matches as it happens so quickly and only when we slow-mo the video, we're able to tell. What more the players who are engrossed in their plays and the judge who can only see from one particular angle?
@@OnePartSamIt's not speculation. You can clearly tell what he's thinking by his facial expressions and body language. He was just as confused as everyone else.
I feel if anyone want to blame this whole thing. It should be towards Japan GM and how they manage this and not to either Por or Zane. Both of them played fairly as it is. I'm sure both were brief not to question the GM decision and they are just following the flow. Let Japan team manage this crisis with the affected party.
Honestly, I am very displeased with this. The biggest flaw with not questioning authority is that people cannot speak up for wrong calls like this. Boycott official tournaments until this is resolved if you are in the countries that were represented.

Based on Japan's ruling and regulation, contesting will lead to disqualification. In this case, both players have language barrier and the restriction from contesting.
@@KikaiBlader To be honest, I'm not really against the idea of "contesting will lead to disqualification". The judge is paid for their job and to maintain a certain standards. However, I would think that is better if there were 2 to 3 judges to judge the game in different angle. So in the event such situation occurs, the judges can discuss and come into a conclusion. Hasbro would never do something like that brother. I dream to go to Japan just so i could compete and see if im good enough or terrible
I think they should add another referee to watch the slow motion footage of when the shot starts and when the winner is determined.

Hello. Nice vid 🎉
I want to know how the ref did not feel there was no bit
He was bit blind
Maybe the angle doesn't allow him to have a better view that the bit was missing.
The latest is that it is now open to the public, but comments are closed.
