Hi Gary. Nice piece 👍 Ash is one of my favourite woods to work... especially when charred or ebonised; the seasonal grains really work well. Love the overall form too. Good job... subscribed.
Hi Gary, great video and beautiful piece. I am really impressed with your work and your informative style. Gael PS I was must watching it while my husband was working on something for a client so the captions were on - you may just want to check them ;)
Hello Gary. That's a beautiful thing you've made, and what a finish! I could sit for ages turning it around in my hands, it's so organic. Do you mind if I have a go at making one? Best regards from Inverkeithing.
Love it looks awesome. it will be awhile before i start to try any thing like this as i am waiting for my first lathe to arrive but looking for ward to it. One question the wood peace you attached the half of the box to "ram chuck" i think you said is that some thing you made just for this one peace or is it some thing you use from time to time on different peaces and do you have a video of making one?
Hi Paul, the jam chuck was made for this project out of a piece of scrap wood. It could be used again for another project in the future al it is is a tenon
I was told to come to your channel to learn some coloring techniques. You also showed me a nice trick for shaping the ends of your seed box. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing Gary, Very nicely done.....!
