Our first Roadside Cooking turned out to be a disaster when I nearly set fire to Sharon's jumper but this time I came prepared. Let's see how our second attempt turned out. We also visit Tupholme Abbey about 10.5 miles east of the city of Lincoln LN3 5TH.

Thanks so much for just being you Sharon and Martin, love your family channel just recently came across it and will now follow Tracey’s family as well. Wholesome and positive fun, you constantly give us belly laughs. We have had a rough time of late with my husband Steven’s back and nerve surgery. Very big surgery and very scary for the whole family. Your videos helped so much. There were some nights, after long days in hospital, your videos were literally the only thing that took my mind off the situation for a while. He is home now as of last Friday and we are catching up on all the videos that he missed. He loves all the gadgets and your banter puts a big smile on his face. We planned to travel to the UK later this year but he can’t fly for quite some time now hopefully one day. We are watching through your eyes. Love the drone shots too. Know you don’t do shoutouts any more and no pressure but it would absolutely make his day, week and month and year if you said a little get well to Steven from Melbourne, Australia. Keep doing what you’re doing, and love the doggos too ❤ Best wishes to your beautiful family, Anita xx
Thank you so much Anita, Hope Steven is on the mend and so glad you enjoy our channel.😁
Be lucky Steven.
Great drone work again Martin, and the food looks amazing as usual, xx
Loved this Sharon & Martin - another great journey 😊thank you 🙏🤗🤗
Hello Sharon and Martin, well this went better than your last roadside cooking in the cold and best of all, Sharon didn't catch fire and ruin any clothes LOL. Those chops, which I've never heard off looked SO tasty. Also an amazing T-Bone ! Been watching Tracy and Ben too. Tracy is adorable. Well ok, Ben is too. 😄
I just love how you take care of your dogs it means a lot to me

Thank you Richard and your wife.
I just love watching you guys! Thank you for another great video and all the time and effort you put into them. 'Sorry I haven’t got my secateurs" had me in stitches! 😂 I love Sharon's quick witted one liners at you Martin! Well done on a succesful lay-by cook up. I wish we had a fabulous butchers like yours. I've subscribed to Tracey and Benjieeeeeee's channel and enjoyed their first video. Tracey's inherited her Mum's wit! 😂 You're a lovely family xx
Thanks so much!!
Yes, Sharon does come back with some fast one liners.
Fantastic video loved the cooking. Wow looked delish and,no burning Sharon’s jumper, lol. Amazing history of the old abbey you both look so well. Thanks take care. Pleased that Tracey and Ben are doing so well.
Very nice video guys love the history lessons 👌👍the steaks look amazing… thanks for the great content
Great video Sharon and Martin. I hope you finish cutting the grass before the other half starts to regrow. Roadside cooking looks fun especially with the battery pack and induction hob, a very handy kit. Loved the Abbey visit. Have a great time at Rick Astley's concert and I'm looking forward to Tenerife!😀
I didn’t think this would be funnier second time round, but you only just both got out the car and I am laughing 😂😂😂
Thank you for another great video. Im with Sharon outside activities should be in glorious sunshine. Not nice when it is cold, wet and damp. I think it is a man thing. Home comforts are the best❤. Thanks for the fun as always Martin and Sharon. Great work with the drone absolutely brilliant. I love a ruin and the history behind them. Keep safe see you on the next one😊
Good video Tracey Ben, Really enjoyed this video of cooking in the layby, and filming of the layby, Mole have been busy,

Dear Martin & Sharon,
Just wanted to say you both brighten my day, such lovely, genuine people. Love your videos, you make me smile with every one. F##k the haters, its pure jealousy from sad people. Keep up the good work. Love to you both, and cuddles to the dogs from London❤
Thanks so much
Absolutely fantastic Martin and Sharon loved it 👍👍👍👍
Hi Both, Thanks for another enjoyable video. Just a tip on navigation. If the sun is shining, and it is before 12.00 noon, If you face the sun then your facing East and north is to your left.
After 12.00 noon, if your facing the sun then your facing West and North is on your right. Also if you find a tree with moss growing on the trunk, then the side of the tree which has the moss on it is facing North.
Loving these history lessons...never took much notice in school.
Hello lovely people again, out and about enjoying good food with fantastic kit! xxxx
Aww Sharon and Martin this brings back lovely memories of me and my old man in the day. xx
So Interesting and well put together, thank you.x
Loved the abbey photography brilliant , you can imagine footsteps of he past
Steak and chops yummy
I think the reason for having Abbeys seemingly in the middle of nowhere was for health. Towns were obviously dirty/ unhealthy places at the time. The Church set very high standards of cleanliness, so medieval monasteries were places of good health. Having pure water was very important in a monastery. It was used to wash religious items such as silver cups, for
Mass. As the Church was wealthy Abbeys could afford to lay water pipes over long distances and in their own land and construct toilets (Sharon would be happy) and wash houses. Monks and nuns believed it was important to care for the sick, this was a big part of the purpose of the buildings. In isolated areas, it was easier to have a big building and to deal with waste and no overcrowding. You get the gist!
It might have had lots of buildings surrounding it back in the day.
Loving your adventures and history beautiful places you take us too thank you
Glad you enjoyed
Awww Sharon you make me laugh ,so camping isn't going to be one of your holiday choices !😆 Martin I just love your enthusiasm...gosh that T-bone.Brilliant!!!!!!!!!
BEAUTIFUL GUYS.
You do live in a wonderful part of the country.❤❤
I find the endless flat countryside boring to look at. It's the things like this ruined Monastery and the towns and villages that make it interesting.
Thank you for your lovely drone videoing, and the music was brilliant with it. It was beautiful xx
Really, really enjoyed this Sharon & Martin. Fascinating!!!!! It's like going out with teachers or guides. Amazing. Thank you. Loved this❤. Don't worry about Tracey. We'll be looking out for all of you next week for your new vlogs.

Hi Sharon you make me laugh, so glad Tracy is doing well on utube take care xx
I use my induction hob all the time (as well as my brilliant 2 drawer Ninja air fryer) after my actual hobs kept breaking down. Had the induction one for several years now. Quick to boil & if that ever conks out, just chuck it out & buy a new one. They're quite cheap.
That was a great vlog, the meat looked yummy, enjoy ur concert luv Rick Ashley x❤

Can’t thank you enough for recommending the L’or coffee machine! It’s brilliant. I just press and hold the button for a big cup for 4 seconds and it fills the cup. On my old machine I needed to go back and run it 3 times to make a full cup.

FYI plasma is a component of blood, so you're right, Martin. Love how excited you are about salt grinder 😂😂

@@LizSizer Thank you
The next time you are in Scotland, Nairn is a good place to visit, not too far from Lossimouth
Is that where the famous oatcakes are from?
wash the frying pan and use that to boil water !
I'm going to have to pay East Coast Meats a visit- 124miles each way or not.......... Martin's girthy T bone and Sharon's chops looked very good quality. When you talked of old ruins I was expecting a cameo from LVC😂
Good evening 🌆 iam watching the video now and it's 9-55pm hope you both have had a good day visiting for us all to see them and what you have been cooking a lot plus visiting places and probably your family. Like your daughter and little baby Frank..or your son and his family..
Good old ragged apron.. brilliant place to go to eat. I must go there when I can get to go there or even see you all.. plus the travel trolls, and Lee van camp and JP and Sammy..etc all together. Whooppy. That would be a great day for me to do just that..
Enjoy your meal at the Ragged Apron. And what ever you have planned for after..xxxx❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
You'll have to buy yourselves a jet boil so you can make your coffee, best thing we have ever bought . So quick. Another great video thankyou
I have thought about that.
@@butlersempire there certainly worth the money, and the gas lasts for ages, we got one for coffee and a bigger one for cooking, those pans you have that can't go on the induction cooker can be used on the jet boil.
I agree the salt and pepper mills are brilliant our daughter got us the battery ones for Christmas rechargeable even better.
You crack me up Sharon 😂 seeking out the nearest toilet ..I’m the same
Take some hot water in a flask. xx
Take some hot coffee in a flask.
Get yourself over to worrick Castle. It's a really good day out, if you like your history stuff.....highly recommend.
Love the videos both of you. It's so nice to see real down to earth people on the tube for a change....
Yummy....coffee machine might go on a road trip soon ☕
You two are so funny xx😂😂
Very interesting blog, thank you. Loved Sharon's off-camera quips. FYI i think you will find it is pronounced Tup as in cup. I live on the Romney Marsh (big sheep country) and tups are male sheep, also called rams. Just wondering - as you are now a committed carnivore, might it be worth investing in some good, sharp steak knives for home and on the road? I am sure that beautiful steak was not as tough as those blunt knives made it look. And one more item to add to your mobile kitchen gear: scissors! Many years ago, we decided to give camping a try but (like Sharon) I made it quite clear that I had no intentions of 'roughing' it! My hubby even rigged up a small light in the tent run off the car battery. Happy days ❤
Well done on getting the subs taken me over 2 years to get that many so 2 days wow awesome ❤
Would it have boiled if you put the saucepan in the fry pan I wonder?
Genius!!
What a great idea.
Or maybe even the metal coffee mug straight on the induction hob?
Thankyou for sharing this video 👍
My pleasure 😊
Hi Martin and Sharon , you really didn’t want to go outdoor cooking dud you Sharon? I don’t blame you . Martin was much better organised this time and jumper was safe 😂 I must say that butchers is awesome the
