Amazing timing, I've just had to deal with this earlier today when building a prototype of a reminder script that reads an event table and filters it to events happening an x number of days from today. Very nice tutorial as always.
Hi - Thanks for the video - Would you have any insights into running a query with 2 criteria - a date from a drop down box and a second criteria from a second drop down box. When I run such a query i don't get an error or a value message - but no data - thanks
@@yagisanatode thanks for your reply. Here is my query. If I run with the date function only it works and if I run it with the other function it works too - but when them together it doesn't. Not sure why not - used the filter function as a work around but remain curious as to what I am doing wrong =Query((Orders!A:Y), "Select A,B,O,P,R,S,C,I,J,L,K,U where O = Date'"&text(B1,"YYYY-MM-DD")&"' AND G = '"&D1&"'",1). I initially thought it wasn't working because i didn't include column G in the list of columns to select but the query didn't work either when i included Column G in the list.
@@MrWilpep No issues in your formula, that I can see. You might have possibly added a space to your dropdown item or to the results of the items in Column G. Try using 'contains' instead of '=' to see if that fixes it up.

I can't really advise you without seeing the QUERY formula you created and the cell references, sorry.

@@yagisanatode hi again - tried "Contains" rather that "=" - but that didn't work either - will just stick to the filter function - thanks
