Yeah, I think Frontline mode is best for competitive in terms from player perspective, but it`s too chaotic in terms of viewer.
Plus observer mode in game need more functions, like hide fog of war, so all map will be open and etc...)

We use ammo box to capture territory. It is very cheap and it doesn't need a cp(command points)

Seeing that people already do this its probably just another boring multiplayer focused title that'll go down like GoH, well one could hope it will be something proper..
