I really like when you guys show the Crash Course videos during Movie Talk. A lot of times you mention them but by the time I have finished Movie Talk episode I've already forgotten to go back and watch it.
Guys are we ever gonna see our old favourite panel of Harloff, Ellis and Schnepp? You now that you have Jeremy you don't have to use him every single time, same goes with Campea. Come on guys! You've got so many awesome panelists and you are using 2 of them most of the time!
Brett Dalton for Uncharted. He did an amazing job as Ward on Agents of Sheild. I do not want a famous actor. Chris Pratt would be typecast and i love him, but he has Guardians and Jurrasic World. He's doing fine. This would be a great opportunity for Brett.
In my opinion he does. He goes from a stickler by the books agent, to a Hydra guy and then to an all out evil Hive. He was all calculating, charming, and creepy while playing those roles. He has good range.
I'm a big fan of the current Movie Talk panel rotation but I do miss having Clarke Wolfe and Jason Inman on the show. I hope they come back as regulars eventually.
Also, I really enjoy the crash course videos but don't really see the point of having it in the video. It takes away views from the actual video and takes away time from movie talk. Just a bit confusing is all, not complaining. :)
I know a lot of people are Boba Fett fans, but I think a Jango Fett movie would be better. Why did he want a clone unaltered to be raised as a son? Was Jango married and she was murdered while pregnant, which in turn made Jango leave his career to become a bounty hunter who searches for his wife's murder? Telling this story could call for a cameo by Obi-Wan and or Anakin since this could be close to Episode 2.
Lol when John says " Freddy, good for you" , it reminded me of that rant by Christian Bale on the set of Terminator Salvation when he's bitching at the DP.. " Oh good for you!"
So Rogue One won't have the opening crawl. Will the actor's names be seen in the opening of the movie, and will the ending credits look and sound like the ending credits of the trilogies?
Ian Jackson what am I confusing? I only said that it was only a problem they have to deal with in the future. If Clark is dead and superman is dead, superman and Clark come back, his identity is out. That's all I meant
On Obi-wan in the saga's, he stuck around Yoda as he trained Luke so I can see him looking over Luke's shoulder as he trains Rey. But what if -potential spoilers for Rebels ahead- What if he briefly comes back the same way the Grand Inquisitor and the other temple guard did to hold off the other inquisitors. That'd I think would be pretty awesome, especially if it's a moment where he comes back as his younger self and just wrecks Kylo Ren to buy time. On Supes death, I saw that clipping in the paper the first watching and thought on it, and his body was in the casket in smallville, so they can't even pull what they did in "Superman the animated series" were he was presumed dead, but had Lana Lang say he found his way there and couldn't remember anything because as he told his parents in that "He couldn't be Superman 24/7". Also why I've been saying since it was released, and I'm not sugar coating it or the like, I'm being blunt as possible without certain modifiers, Whoever wrote Superman's death into the script, who ever approved it, etc down that line, are MORONS. Or are they gonna retcon that by saying that "Oh, yeah, well, see, Flash ran back in time and saved me but you guys still remember the old timeline for some reason, funny right?". Cause I've also said a lot of people deserve the blame for BvS, not just Snyder though he earned his fair share. And while I'm sure Snyder had a hand in the decision, I'd place my money on Goyer on that bit just because much as he's got writing credits on things like the Nolan Batman films, Blade, and CoD: black ops; this is also the same man that helped give us such great hits as Nick Fury: Agent of shield, the not as good Blade stuff, and Ghost Riders sequel. They wasted it because we know he comes back for JL already, even before the movie was released, it ruins a great storyline for a solo film or JL/sequel, and causes various other problems like "Wait.... he can't be Clark Kent now". That should have been a scene for a later movie where we have to see the league deal with the loss of a friend, and their heaviest hitter. In universe basically the ultimate example of "If you can show god bleeds....", and as such like in the JL cartoon show the villains running rampant as they feel less fraid because he's gone and clearly, the league isn't immortal. Have him gone a few movies after seeing the league bury him, with no MoS sequels announced or in the works, ad make us think "oh shit, he may be gone for real". Not a 5 minute, 10 cent gag of "Look, see, we put this storyline in, were cool, right?"
The Nativity Story was a nice little flick. Turistas was a very crazy Horror flick. My Favorite films out of the 10 Year list is actually Rise of Taj, that film cracks me up everytime I watch it. of course out of the 20 Year list, my favorite is 101 Dalmations, that was such a cute and fun Disney Flick.
I said yesterday that Harloff (blessed be him) will not give up on a trilogy until it's officially stated that it isn't happening. This seems A LOT more likely.
Since you mention it Collider Crew, how about a Crash Course on the history of "Oscar season" and "Oscar-bait" films showing a timeline of the shift in release patterns and major films that lead the way?
Actually as a AC fan I am glad that they didn't release a game this year to hype up the movie because I know that I was burnt out from them releasing one every year.
Spideymrw Haha Yeah I can see why they edited it. I really don't mind as I joke about all of these things, but I can see how a lot of people might get offended. Thanks for your reply man ;)
I really do prefer the "would you rather" segment to buy or sell and wish it would replace it permanently. It has an intro that I've not heard a thousand times which is nice but I feel that it introduces a new element to the conversation about the topics which differentiates it from the rest of the topics not mentioned in the segment.
Husnan Chaudhry when he said Chris pine I was like that can work....they had no idea what they was talking about with pratt or Cooper and to be honest I wouldn't want them to play drake....pine could definitely pull it off
I don't know if anyone noticed but the video seems to have stoped short. It just cuts Kristian off and does not show the sign off of everyone. Other then that it was a good episode!
Why did they even make it that Clark kent died? How does the paper know that? Who found the body? Why wouldn't they just leave that thread open and have Clark just...disappear? The unnecessary complications are so frustrating.
They did it for SUperman Returns with Clark and Superman coming back at the same time. Also I'm sure they had to do it for the Death of Superman comics (I just don't know how as I did not read them, but I'm surprised that Schnepp did not bring it up)
Collider and Dennis I think you guys should of have released the complete video. People should learn how to crumble the paper and throw it in the trash and move on with what Jeremy say at the end...... nough say....
Studios have always released "prestige" (Oscar Bait) pictures at the end of the year. People though Harry Cohn was nuts for releasing "From Here to Eternity" in August -- that film went on to win the most Oscar's that year. This is the last week in November, which is Thanksgiving, which is an extended box office weekend. This week ten and twenty years ago was the Thanksgiving weekend.
We know the Top Ten show is coming back, so could you just tell us when? We've heard about all these big things happening behind the scenes, it's time to see something.
+jason evelio you're not their only viewer, a lot of people like the Top Ten show. It's a business, so they are going to make the shows that generate views.
The Bourne Supremacy is one of the most thought-provoking and action-packed spy thriller to come out in decades, to say nothing of the trilogy as a whole. That's why it makes sense when Campea refers to later films failing to meet "the Bourne standard." If the studio can't muster up a truly progressive story then I agree they should let the franchise rest in greatness.
Actually they did release a game around the movie release. The ezio collection came out a week or so ago. If you buy it brand new , you get a ticket for the movie.
The song was just advertising the movie and the song, and if they made the trailer like they did with the first one but with the song it would look wrong so they probably added in the romance moments to fit the song
Speaking ofJames Cameron , when are we going to see THE ABYSS on Blu-ray? I love Cameron’s films but THE ABYSS just may be my favorite. My preference would be a nice restoration in a CRITERION COLLECTION package with both the theatrical release and the full cut. Alone with a ton of extras.
www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=19501 According to James Cameron, it is coming out next year...so of course it may actually be out by 2019! It is one of my most anticipated blu-rays as well. I never bought the non-anamorphic dvd, so I still have my widescreen special edition vhs. I do wonder why they didn't get it out two years ago for the 25th anniversary, though!
I wonder if he's taken on too much at once. He just may be a little too hand-on that, rather him take one thing at a time, he's trying to do it all at once and so it takes forever for everything. I have serious doubts I'll see all AVATAR films before I die.
That may well be. He does seem like he needs to be in control in all areas, rather than delegate. (I admit that seems to have worked out quite well for him in the past!). But while that may work for a while, or for one project at a time, if he has taken on too much at once and needs to control every aspect, perhaps that explains the delays in the Avatar sequels and the blu-ray releases of his other films (though I am really only looking forward to two of his other three films, The Abyss and True Lies, coming to blu--we can leave Piranha II out!)
Not to get technical, but the Bothans didn't steal the plans to the second Death Star. They learned that the Emperor was going to be overseeing the final stages of construction personally. =)
Comment on Assassin's Creed that I'm surprised none of you mentioned: the division taking care of the movie is not the same than the one taking care of the games. The Ubisoft company name is here but each entity works separately, same as the distinction between Marvel TV, Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics. Actually FYI, even for Ubisoft Development, the games are made by two different centers (Montreal and Lyon if I'm not mistaking).
I LOVED Star Blazers growing up!! I would love to see a big budget live action version of it. That said there was a Japanese live action version that came out and the special effects weren't bad, however they changed the story quite a bit. That's my fear with a Hollywood version. Star Blazers ran 2 different English series each being 30 minutes and 26 episodes long. That would be really hard to condense into 2 hours as the Japanese version tried exactly that. Still If they made it, I would go see it.
they talked about Clark Kent having to make a new identity when he comes back. in dc rebirth he's calling himself Clark Smith maybe they'll use that now. he's using it for different reasons but it's an easy way out.
A solo Obi-Wan movie is probably not going to happen. The show Star Wars Rebels is already about to introduce a possible Darth Maul and Obi-Wan face off, which would cover part of that story.
Starblazers would be a great IP to use for a movie. Loved it as a kid, but like all things, it completely depends on execution (never forget the Last Airbender).
Why won't you guys review Nocturnal Animals? The poster is even behind Kristian! Is JTE really the only one willing to do it? It's one of the best films of the year!
they can bring back clark first saying someone else was burried in his place that they mistook for him. he could wear a different costume and save people as a different superhero or just don't let people see him for that year.
MARTIAN MANHUNTER could assume Clark's form to help cover for Superman - appear together with Clark interviewing Superman, etc. WONDER WOMAN could dig up some kind of magic item to create disguise. BATMAN and CYBORG could offer technological alternatives.
I hate all the negativity towards Johnny Depp, he's my all time favourite actor and yes he's been in some stinkers recently but people forget just how great he is! I feel like everyone always dwells on the negative nowadays. If you look at the guy's filmography there are some true gems, whether it be Fear and Loathing, Finding Neverland, Blow, Donnie Brasco, Edward Scissorhands, the list goes on. Yes he's made some poor role choices recently but even Black Mass was a somewhat comeback. I really look forward to seeing him as Grindelwald the dark wizard in upcoming Potterverse films, and I'm actually really excited for the new Pirates movie! The first one is my favourite film of all time, yes they kind of went down hill but they all are still enjoyable films to me!
I personally think that Clark will be dead for a while, but when Flashpoint happens, bam he's back. I mean we will see Clark be Clark with those who know he is superman, the JLA, and his mom, Lois. He is also Kal-El
I loved the spoiler sign when Jeremy said hitler shot himself 😂
Joe McKim lmfao
Gump's Videos Hey, is he working for Collider full time now?
The Plastic Paddy yes he is. He moved down there to be full time
Gump's Videos He's still doing his solo page yeah?
The Plastic Paddy of course.
Collider calling out Film Theory #ShotsFired
I really like when you guys show the Crash Course videos during Movie Talk. A lot of times you mention them but by the time I have finished Movie Talk episode I've already forgotten to go back and watch it.
As someone who doesn't care about anything Star Wars, I really appreciate the sidebar annotations. Been using them a lot ;)
Can't wait for Jeremy Jahns to host Collider Video Game Talk.
BlackMasamune X I'll move to California and apply at Collider for that
no thx
BlackMasamune X YES
larskk101 😂😂😂
when was this announced ?
Lol, I loved the ending! A bit of dark comedy, but far from offensive. Keep it up Jeremy & Collider crew!
shiningmyduggy I cracked up so hard.
shiningmyduggy what was the joke? The end of the video isn't working for me
Spideymrw aw. I just noticed that. Jeremy probably getting fired. Jk
yes rambo upload it and send link
CRF250R1521 I got it bro, I'll probably delete it later, I like Jeremy, it thought it was funny, but some people will take it too seriously
Guys are we ever gonna see our old favourite panel of Harloff, Ellis and Schnepp? You now that you have Jeremy you don't have to use him every single time, same goes with Campea. Come on guys! You've got so many awesome panelists and you are using 2 of them most of the time!
koczy666 Campea is show runner so it makes sense that he's on everyday
I miss this show
The video ended when Harloff was talking about the schmoedown, what happened, did they really censored Jeremy's joke?
What happened? I didn't watch live.
Not sure i didn't see it live.
Spideymrw Do you remember what was said? So sad I missed it...
Your God Wilfred dont know the full context but I know Jeremy combined the words "holocron" and "holocaust"
The constant roasting of Film Theory's crappy Rouge One theory is great!
Jeremy, your hilarious dude! I am officially subscribing to your movie reviews.
The addition of Jahns was game changer
Brett Dalton for Uncharted. He did an amazing job as Ward on Agents of Sheild. I do not want a famous actor. Chris Pratt would be typecast and i love him, but he has Guardians and Jurrasic World. He's doing fine. This would be a great opportunity for Brett.

Krystina Ferro Also, people always said he looked like Drake in the game Until Dawn.
YEEEES!!!! I totally agree! He would be great for this!
"Get some water man" LOL was Schnepp seriously gonna go through the whole thing with that voice hahaha
J.K. Simmons as Sully in the Uncharted movie would be a neat fit.
iAfricanRicebowll or Tom hanks
ahh another good one
iAfricanRicebowll sully is fat
I'm a big fan of the current Movie Talk panel rotation but I do miss having Clarke Wolfe and Jason Inman on the show. I hope they come back as regulars eventually.
In case anyone is wondering how The Sopranos series ends....pretty much like this video.
Also, I really enjoy the crash course videos but don't really see the point of having it in the video. It takes away views from the actual video and takes away time from movie talk. Just a bit confusing is all, not complaining. :)
Joseph D dont really know the full context but I know Jahns basically made a joke combining the words "holocron" and "holocaust"
The ending is still up on podcast format
The ending is still up on podcast format
Nope, it's edited out.

Telling this story could call for a cameo by Obi-Wan and or Anakin since this could be close to Episode 2.
I do believe that I deserve my own movie. The movie would be quite an enjoyable one.
Lol when John says " Freddy, good for you" , it reminded me of that rant by Christian Bale on the set of Terminator Salvation when he's bitching at the DP.. " Oh good for you!"
Don't get too cocky John, it usually ends bad when you do that.
Fun show today, gang. Thanks! WENDY: love the scarf. Didn't know it ever got chili in Burbank.
i love how when jeremey said spoiler alert about hilter's death at the end of ww2 the spoiler alert went up like a reflex. Hilarious
That was a great Collider Crash Course.
This IS the all-star crew. Jeremy, John, Jon, Kristian and Ashley. These 4 are the Avengers of internet movie talk world.
No Rogue One sequel!!??? Awww first no Titanic sequel and now this?!
i dont see why it would need one :/
but Jaws got a sequel !!
+aguilacahc000 He's obviously joking.
aguilacahc000 ......it's a joke.
but there was a sequel to Titanic though.....it was animated @w@
Well....that ended suddenly.
Kristian got that damn Bad Lip Reading song back in my head the monster
Zach Gerrity Rockin, Rockin and Rollin...
I would say that Nolan and Bale are an awesome duo as well
Excellent! Thank you for posting this.
So Rogue One won't have the opening crawl. Will the actor's names be seen in the opening of the movie, and will the ending credits look and sound like the ending credits of the trilogies?
what happened to the end of the video
and lol @ Jeremy at 9:18
Oh shit, that guy asking about Superman's death found another plot hole in BvS and Dc universe
It's not a plot hole if the plot he's talking about doesn't even exist yet.
Eddie Rattlehead it's not so much as a plot hole, it's more of a situation they have to deal with in the future
Ian Jackson what am I confusing? I only said that it was only a problem they have to deal with in the future. If Clark is dead and superman is dead, superman and Clark come back, his identity is out. That's all I meant
Who cares, Raiders vs Cowboys Super Bowl might actually happen and Trump is our President.
+Andre Brito Yes I know what a plot hole is like how Dc is gonna make new Superman movies without Clark in the daily planet.
If they did a show with this panel and also fit in Ken somehow, that would be amazing.
Thompson5893 I think Jeremy is an odd fit. I prefer Mark with this panel
The actual spoiler tag popping up @ 9:25 killed me. Pun intended.
Trying to watch the video but it keep going to the "live event over" screen D:
I said yesterday that Harloff (blessed be him) will not give up on a trilogy until it's officially stated that it isn't happening. This seems A LOT more likely.
Since you mention it Collider Crew, how about a Crash Course on the history of "Oscar season" and "Oscar-bait" films showing a timeline of the shift in release patterns and major films that lead the way?
Actually as a AC fan I am glad that they didn't release a game this year to hype up the movie because I know that I was burnt out from them releasing one every year.
That ending was very Sopranos like
Spideymrw Hah really!? I wish I watched the live stream :( Was it super offensive or something?
Spideymrw Haha Yeah I can see why they edited it. I really don't mind as I joke about all of these things, but I can see how a lot of people might get offended. Thanks for your reply man ;)
I really do prefer the "would you rather" segment to buy or sell and wish it would replace it permanently. It has an intro that I've not heard a thousand times which is nice but I feel that it introduces a new element to the conversation about the topics which differentiates it from the rest of the topics not mentioned in the segment.
I have really wanted to see either Dominic Cooper or Chris Pine as Nathan Drake.
Husnan Chaudhry when he said Chris pine I was like that can work....they had no idea what they was talking about with pratt or Cooper and to be honest I wouldn't want them to play drake....pine could definitely pull it off
did no one else loose it when the spoiler bar popped up when jeremy was talking about ww2 lol
Will Top Ten be returning? It's been gone for a really long time and I loved that show.
@37:30 Jeremy, that's been done twice. Street Fighter: The Movie (the game) and recently Ratchet and Clank. Damn my nerddome for knowing this.
I don't know if anyone noticed but the video seems to have stoped short. It just cuts Kristian off and does not show the sign off of everyone. Other then that it was a good episode!
Jason Bourne broke my heart
The actor in the Bourne trilogy opposite Matt Damon is Franke Potente. She was in Run Lola Run plus a whole heap of other European films
How did they bring back clark kent after death of superman comics?
Why did they even make it that Clark kent died? How does the paper know that? Who found the body? Why wouldn't they just leave that thread open and have Clark just...disappear? The unnecessary complications are so frustrating.

20 years since 101 Dalmations? Time flies, really movie, really underrated.

Yes! This is the movie news episode I want to watch!
The ending of this episode was gold 😂 #darkhumor
We know the Top Ten show is coming back, so could you just tell us when? We've heard about all these big things happening behind the scenes, it's time to see something.
+jason evelio you're not their only viewer, a lot of people like the Top Ten show. It's a business, so they are going to make the shows that generate views.
37:17 they did release a remastered game for the newer consoles that I believe came with tickets to see the movie
everyone dies in rogue one sounds epic going to be the best star wars fight to date!
I hated the last trailer for passengers but still looking forward to this being one of my favorite of the year hopefully!
The Bourne Supremacy is one of the most thought-provoking and action-packed spy thriller to come out in decades, to say nothing of the trilogy as a whole. Please stop answering the same question about Clark Kent coming back from dead after BvS...I'm sure I've heard you guys answer it 4 times now
Great opening. Yoda hates them Seagulls!
The song was just advertising the movie and the song, and if they made the trailer like they did with the first one but with the song it would look wrong so they probably added in the romance moments to fit the song
Collider---are you delaying the uploads of the show for any reason? They seem to be posting later and later?
When collider movie talk was fun....
I LOVE THAT THEORY... A FILM THEORY.. AAAND CUT
Lauren Cohan in Van Wilder 2....man. Plus Kal Penn was hilarious!
Guys!!! Why did you cut the video!? I want to watch the ending 😡

Video just cut off in the middle of Harloff's comments at 49.26 🤔😒
Meant to say 49.39
Not to get technical, but the Bothans didn't steal the plans to the second Death Star. They learned that the Emperor was going to be overseeing the final stages of construction personally. =)
Damnit, I want to know what Jeremy's joke was!
Josh Myers me too! I was expecting it at the end, but they just cut it! WTF!??
It wasn't hilarious, but it wasn't bad either. I think they're making a bigger deal out of it than it actually was.
Comment on Assassin's Creed that I'm surprised none of you mentioned: the division taking care of the movie is not the same than the one taking care of the games. Superman could have a new alter ago, who is called Jordan Elliot (like in the comics).
But they did make a live action version of Yamato. An official production made in Japan in 2010.
Why won't you guys review Nocturnal Animals? The poster is even behind Kristian! Is JTE really the only one willing to do it? It's one of the best films of the year!

WONDER WOMAN could dig up some kind of magic item to create disguise. BATMAN and CYBORG could offer technological alternatives.
Nice T-Shirt Schnepp.
Turns out Obi-Wan is Rey's grandfather
They don't all have to die in Rogue One..don't get cocky. There are a lot of Oscar contenders I am looking forward to
I hate all the negativity towards Johnny Depp, he's my all time favourite actor and yes he's been in some stinkers recently but people forget just how great he is!
Its funny.... but I actually like him in pretty much everything but Willy Wonka.
Depp isnt always in amazing movies but nobody denies he is one of the best actors in the business.

I actually wanted to know when that Star Wars schmoedown was!!! :/ anyone know the actual date?
I personally think that Clark will be dead for a while, but when Flashpoint happens, bam he's back. I mean we will see Clark be Clark with those who know he is superman, the JLA, and his mom, Lois.
He is also Kal-El
We are in that world Jeremy. The game, Street Fighter: The Movie, based on the movie which is based on the game.
The Crucible is one of the best of all time and the two leads are two of the best performers. Go Wynona Ryder
