Or maybe it would be a boss fight and winning would of course show segata uninjured (due to the fact he is super op) but it would have segata respect kiryu and leave him with his bones intact (and also with a sega Saturn)
Kiryu vs Segata Sanshiro, oh that wouldn't be fair to Kiryu. Especially if everyone knows Segata's true identity, it would end with an even bigger massive explosion.
The fact that we only got this, and not a full blown, unfairly difficult fight that would make any final boss/secret Amon fights look like a joke in comparison, is slightly disappointing, if not sad.
in all fairness it *is* a pun, Segata Sanshiro is a parody of Sugata Sanshiro, a martial artist from an Akira Kurosawa film. But Segata Sanshiro is so awesome that he has his own legacy now- a legacy to beat up anyone not playing Sega Saturn.
