That damn impeccable phrasing of Ms. Dionne is the best and one of a kind. I agree with one of the comments. Ms. Dionne should add this beautiful song to her current repertoire❤❤❤. It would be dope!!
This was such a great song. Definitely her best release of the 1990s...but I have never seen it perform with live musicians. All the performances I've seen on video are of her singing to a track. Also, she seems to have abandoned performing the song at all in her live set in the mid 90s which is a shame because unlike most of her earlier material, this song actually works (mostly) with the state of her voice from the 1990s and beyond.
I love her concerts, and hearing the famed 60s Bacharach songs, but I agree - it would be fantastic if she pulled out some other songs from other eras. I am a big fan of her 70s Warner Brothers sound and would love to hear a whole concert of that music!
You are 💯 on point that Ms. Dionne should unclude this in her current performances. It would be 🔥 📛. She can do it as a solo or as a duet with her son David!!
@@auntiedionne5333 The reason why she took this out of her set list was due to her disappointment for this album- concerning its commercial success. It didn’t fare well at all! It did receive high praise from critics.
Would be great if it was included in the her current concert repetoire again. It was a big club hit in my neck of the woods - in Cape Town, South AFrica. We did a couple's dance this side called "Jazzing" to it. It's a bit like the West coast Swing in the US mixed with some salsa.
I played the hell out of this cd.

This should've been the album's first release and a massive hit.

@@I-AM-BELIEVER Of course it didn't sell well, there are very few Pop singers over 50 who do sell well, even in the early 1990's this was the case.
