I would use a more lazy and noobie way of tying an AG knot to a closed ring with the leader, then i would use a split ring to attach the popper/minnow to the closed ring. Easy change of lures and I dun need to cut and tie every time I change a lure. So far with my jigging and popping setups I've only needed to utilise 2 basic knots: 1. The AG knot for tying to terminal tackle 2. GT knot using a GT bobbin. Both are 100% knots when tied correctly and works for me so far though. Just for thoughts
