A real gentle man and a good friend - so many happy memories - from Goats and Surbiton meetings - thank you for being there - hockey will miss you -RIP Joe
Joe always had a smile, always encouraged the young including my daughter Sarah who has tweeted how he will be sorely missed. I had the privilege of playing with Joe in his last game for the Magnets and he still had amazing hands and stick skills. RIP Joe
Joe is the reason I have been at Surbiton for over 20 years, he kept pestering me to join the "best club in the country" to play in the Veterans team, so as soon as I hit 35 I came to play at Sugden road. Never regretted a minute. Joe has been a great friend and will be sadly missed.
