I reckon some sort of water-penetrating radar, (if there is such a thing), mounted at the sheave at the top of the boom pointing straight down and giving a 3D representation for the Operator would be very useful for maximising bucket fill and optimising production would be a good idea. Presently the Operator has to make an educated guess as to what the bottom of the cut looks like. In Forestry we use a system called Lidar to see through the forest canopy and get a representation of the terrain beneath.
Isn't this the one that fell in? His they fix it? Is it still running or did it get scrapped? There is a video of the salvage but the comments are shut off.
Cool vid, don't get to see dragline working from this perspective. Another cool angle would be if you could fly the drone inside the bucket as he swings. Oh and what is your song here?
I watched them put that together also, AC brought it from there mine in Branford... I had been running a Lima 2400 for MM mine next door but I went to work for Florida Rock And ended up pouring the concrete pads for the Electrical transformers on the dirt road there For this AC mine...!! It’s supposed to be an 18 yard bucket on that Page..!!
I came here to enjoy keyboard experts tell us all how the operator is doing it wrong. A little disappointed that it’s just folks complaining about the music. Interestingly enough, my device has volume control. I just turned the music down. It’s easy.
Nice video... Would be good to know what they are actually doing, what the end result is, are they constructing a marinea or just dredging for sand.... Does anyone know....
If they are still doing today what they were doing in the 80s .....They will mind the sand and rock out of the area and when it's done they will develope the shore with houses and sell them for "lake front property"
That is the cleanest Page dragline that I have ever seen.

That is some pretty water and a *BEAUTIFUL* machine!
Nice video of a beautyfull machine, but the music is so bad that I stop looking !
The music is awesome.
Just mute the video?
@@ajm0723 it’s horrible it’s a chilling singing
Looks like a fun job, I would love to run a dragline for a living.
I was fascinated with the color of the water!! Is that natural or camera effects?
Not sure where this one is but it's natural , pretty common here in Florida especially in lime rock mines or sand mines
Captured details elaborately! 👍

great camera work, looks good on a big screen TV, like being on board the drone.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed! I wish I'd have gotten a little closer though.

Ya, I wish I'd have gotten some closer shots of it. I can't remember the song I'll look it up and get back with you. Thanks for watching.
Music is irritating.
Song name on UA-cam is fly away jpb remix. It should pop up
Does he guess were to drop the bucket or is their some fancy technology directing him?

Is that Anderson Columbia
@@CAT972 yes, just off Hwy 98, across from the old Juana mine that had the B&E 380…!!
wow .. good edits and beats!
Very nice do they run it 24/7?
Is that you critters
Wow, seems grossly inefficient. He loses most of what he scoops from the the water!

why u don't use water pump, slurry pump specification, i think it's more effective
is this the broken dragline that had been pushed by volvo trucks on another video?
Yes

They are mining limestone aggregates.
Looks like FL landscape ? An the bucket looks like it's to small for it.
Awesome machine, music anb work place 😍
Anyone know who's the music artidt in the very beginning? Thanks
Jesus Christ. Volume **ALL the way down.
Why can't some people resist the urge to f something cool up with music?
I’m pretty sure that fell in
And an operation was done and they pulled it out
Two different machines, the spuds give it away , this is a Page machine but the one that fell in was in Florida
Music is horrific
It never walks and the music is too much
It IS a "walking dragline" not a video of a "dragline walking" xD seriously m8 xp
This is like scooping out average truck load with every pass out of the pit.
andban92 ... A complete 3 axle dump truck fits easily inside the bucket.
Where is this and what are they digging for ?
august its white rock quarry labeled a limestone mine in Florida i think its more of a phosphate mine or very similar operation.
@@namesbrown5186 It's just an aggregate mine. The Phosphate mi es are a lot different but this one is a fairly typical rock mine.
How muck can the bucket hold?
Clyde Dooseldorph enough too fill a large dump truck in one scoop
Looks like a 45 yrd bucket
Where is it

That machine fell into a subterranean cavern and was a complete loss, there’s a video of the recovery on it
@Choke And Bite really? Huh I must be mistaken, sorry
How deep would that water be?
It's hard to say but a truck can fit inside that bucket so I'd guess at least 30+
60ft +
