  • This video is based on a university freshman-level Introduction to Electrical Engineering course. It focuses on how fundamental theory like Kirchoff's Laws is used (indirectly) to analyze, understand, and design real-world products. While a guitar amp and DSP reverb are used in demos, the topics covered are essential to all analog circuit analysis. Basic topics include Ohm's Law, KVL, KCL, Nodal Analysis, the ubiquitous voltage divider circuit, and more. But the main theme is how these give way to analysis using common subcircuits, leveraging known results. A voltage amplifier built using an opamp is also discussed.

Thank you so much for these videos. The way you present the various topics is refreshing and provides me with new ways of thinking of the subjects, as well as educating me on those things I though I fully understood, but in reality didn't. Along with trips down memory lane from my old college days, I remember lectures where, in some cases, the presentations were done in such a way as to cause myself and other students, to arive at the wrong understandings. Really good stuff. I don't know if this will ever be seen, but if it is, it's just before christmas so ... Hope you have a good one 🙂

Thanks for the comments ! I appreciate knowing the videos are helpful. Electronics is an interesting subject and different people take different paths in their journey. I guess it's because its complicated and there is so much involved. Plus it's been around for more than 100 years, so there are a lot of different ways of looking at stuff. Glad this video resonated. Have a great holiday !
