Oh man, that thing would be a rocket with a 4300 3s. I'm actually making a parallel harness for the mini mono and the mg17. 2x1300 or 2x850 in the sponsons
With my spektrum dx5 I haven't had any issue with range in polycarbonate or fiberglass hulls, carbonfiber hulls on the other hand will definitely need the antenna sticking out the boat.

Wowzers…Found a nice little toy boat at the Post office shop the other day for $19 (brushed)..and I thought that looks like an Ironcladding candidate right there!! Haha have stripped it out, and ordered a whole 2036 and 1/8 flexi kit, to convert it into a brushless ripper!! Inspiration to you once again sir!! 🚤👍🏻
Can i leave the propellar the way it is if i have the rudder extension or will i still need to cut it and lower it like you dud and fill with epoxy . Id love to leave it stock and add a steel or brass prop and extend the rudder extention new to boata sorry i dont know all the right words . Please and thank you for some help
Unfortunately the best way is to install the flex cable like I did .98 to 1/8 flexcable with a micro strut and extended offset rudder is the best option
Martin the Geico was hanging on for dear life! Lucky he has suction cups for fingers! Traditionally, cats should be faster than mono hulls because they have less contact with the water when they're on plane. Not as stable when the water gets choppy though. That little boat did much better than on the last outing. Couldn't just be the rudder upgrade. What's your secret sauce there Big "B"?
Thanks yeah she was preforming much better. Upgraded Rudder and the 1300 mah 3s pack that's it. Oh yea I used a larger prop tfl 432 on this run. I tried the 630 first but the boat wouldn't get on plane she was prop steering pretty bad.
Definitely the motor esc & battery, BUT the boat didn't run as well with the stock rudder the upgrade Rudder allowed the boat to preform at its full potential.
I added a aluminum rudder ,and dual pickup to mine,yours is off the charts.
That was fun. I especially like the small boats as they have their own unique challenges, but are usually cheap enough to tinker on them a WHOLE LOT.

No I would say not the upgrade rudder put the upgrade motor ESC And battery
