Had one of these and loved it, great fun. Get all the issues out the way and it should be fairly (!) reliable. Strongly recommend changing the coolant bottle and coolant immediately, unless it’s brand new. Check the fan resistor hasn’t died and that the power steering pump fan works. Then get the supercharger serviced and check for oil leaks- there will probably be at least 4. Looking forward to seeing the progress on this
Great cars mate! I have a red 04! Stripped the back seats out, reduced pulley, intake, lighter wheels and exhaust. Great fun cars. Get your supercharger serviced and the usual r53 maintenance bits. E.g. Water pump, make sure coolant tank is okay etc

i dont understand why people remove the steering wheel airbag and consider it an upgrade. it is a road car not a track car, you wont be wearing a helmet and harness. airbag is needed

This is actually relevant, I used to have one years ago R53, and the Coolant Bottle really was a bit gash.

R53 was the best mini i had hands down!
