Fun vid! This is genuinely the first time I've seen someone cheese the sniper duel advancement and it amazes me. Fairly sure you can also get obsidian from weaponsmiths chests in villages and don't have to rely exclusively on ruined portals, iirc.
That's true! According to the wiki, obsidian also generates in bastions and nether fortresses as well which surprised me since i've never seen obsidian in a fotress chest before.
