sillypak Made In You song is dedicated for exols.. That's my favorite track tho but all the songs in his album are all amazing and soothing
I agree. Self-Portrait is my favorite track on this album too. To me, the lyrics mean that we take a little bit of every relationship we have with us every day. Whether the people are still with us or not. My best friend has this habit of rubbing two fingers along her eyebrow. Not sure why, she just does it. After knowing her a while, I realized I had started doing it too, unconsciously. So who we are, is some of us, but it is also somewhat a reflection of those that we love, or have loved. Personally, I think this song is dedicated to his members, maybe even the ex-members. I could be way off base though.

Girl if you watch Suho‘s explanation to the album on Vlive he says that he wanted to originally call Self Portrait „Plagiarism“. You know the lyrics of Self portrait, keeping the habits that your loved one had who you are no longer with. And you know what? He said that he for example thought of Sehun because they were roommates for like 7 years (before sehun kicked him out lmao) and that he still has his habits and self portrait hits different if you think about that he said that and think about their relationship 😭😭😭😭

This album is such a masterpiece I'm really so proud of our leader Junmyeon!! He put his all into this album and it couldn't have been any better it really feels like this album represents him so well ㅠㅠ All of the songs on the album were so beautiful but if I have to pick a favourite "Self-portrait" is definitely the one, just as you said the chorus and the way he plays with his voice really got me..but seriously any one of these songs could easily be a tt!!

Edit: i hope my room could look as aesthetically beautiful as yours. 🥰 also, “you’re my dream you’re my dream” is Suho’s favorite part as well. There are lots of metaphorical meaning to these shots which Suho explained to his Heart 4 U’s episode. The shots were his experiences and what is in his mind as Junmyeon and Suho. Suho was also torn between Self-Portrait and Let’s Love as the title song, but chose Let’s Love in the end. The original title for Self-Portrait was Plagiarism which he thought was very strong(the lyricists thought to as well) and Suho tried to change it with Self-Portrait, he had to change some of the lyrics as well to match the title.
I'm so proud of uri leader Kim Junmyeon!!! He really put so much time, effort, love, and "him" into this album, and you can tell. He is such an affectionate, and caring man, and he really does love his members and fans sooooo much. I love that about him, along with all the rest of the wonderful parts of him....even his messiness. His voice really shone on this album, and yes, I felt like his voice was very soft and water-like. Peacefully drifting on water...makes sense since that is his superpower.

Bravo Mama....what a heartfelt reaction. I on my own listened to it several times, crying to myself....the beauty of his voice and the music took me by surprise, not because I didn't think it would sound good, but because it took me on a journey of dreams and realizations we all go through, but with a fluidity and warmth that was so soulful to me. Junmyeon has expressed his love and also his loneliness in a quiet but passionate way, how I long for him to find someone to share love with like Jongdae.
Listening to you and how you articulate what feelings are conveyed in each song is so heartfelt, simple and honest, and yes, I'm crying again. And we both were inconsolable with "April and a Flower", I was a mess. "Now For You" is my favorite, it makes me cry, the blend of their voices sound like a lullaby that lulls me in a peaceful way, but each note and lyric is magnified by the beauty of their sound. I love all the songs for their specific meanings, and Suho has made proud to be an Exo-l for 10 years. Thank you Mama, you made me happy today. Where's my Kleenex.....😢💙

*DREAMY, REFLECTIVE, MELTING & COMFORTING. This whole album lifted me up. It deeply touched my heart and caressed my soul. And it was so weird that I didn't have a breakdown when I listened to the songs. I usually sobs non stop when I hear beautiful songs but this was different. I feel like these songs comforted me by crying for me, instead of me crying over it idk but it felt different. I always have flashbacks of Junmyeon and EXO for these past 8 years when listening to the songs esp Made In You. As an EXOL for 7 years now, this album means so much. EXO have been the biggest part of my youth and I was also made by them. ♡*

SELF-PORTRAIT means a lot to me....It's been 4 years since I've became EXO-L and from the first moment I fell for Junmyeon....I lived with him through these years and I learned a lot from him.
In the begining he was just my kpop boy whom I adore but little by little he became my role model in some kind👌
I love that he is passionate for his job and I love that he really works hard to reach his goals. I love that he knows what he wants to do and he works and practice and work and..... to finally acheive his goal and I like that he doesn't give up in the middle of the way.
When I first time listened to the album I cried with every single track!!!! Every track has its own feelling and it is amazing how the songs give you the ecxact feelling that they are meant.....although I listened to them without knowing the lyrics I could easily feel the meaning behinde them

You really should the live session. They're really good and the settings are pretty too. Junmyeon wrote the lyrics for all the songs by the way and he used the name SH20. Originally For You Now is supposed to be sang by him only but he thought the song needs a female voice so he chose Younha. Thank you for reacting to the album by the way.

Silvia you look so pretty in this video! I'm so happy to see your reaction to our leader's first solo album. The editing is really good in this video too, thank you for putting the lyrics up when you were listening to the songs. The songs always hit me harder when I read the lyrics at the same time. This album is so great, I love every song on it. And I'm so glad it has this rock style, I know rock music is less popular in Korea but I'm so glad he went with a style that he likes and put his heart into this album. Starry night is my favourite track mostly because of the instrumentals but I really like Made in You as well. This whole album is so relaxing, it feels like I should listen to it while taking an afternoon nap. Since we're on lockdown right now maybe I will. Next you should watch the live performances on Exo's youtube channel. He recorded them all in one day so we'd get a chance to see the songs performed. He's such a sweetheart!

as a fan of both SHINee and EXO. For You Now hit really hard. Junmyeon had appeared on Blue Night with Jonghyun when Junmyeon came out with Curtain and knowing they are such good friends even though they didn't seem. If you watch the interview...there's a lot of feelings.
Also the fact that Younha also featured on a Jonghyun solo song.
Junmyeon's solo album is so beautiful and every song makes me both happy and sad.

The fact that he participated in lyric writing for all the songs makes me even more proud of him. You should check out the live sessions he did with live band. It's ok even if you do that on your own. They are so good. As it is with exo their live version are better than the studio versions.
My favorite was "made in you" but after the live session it changed to self portrait. This album is really special. Through the album and promotions I felt so close to him that now he is my second bias😂😂

Finally my bias got a solo album. After the release of the album, I felt alive, the songs are like a breath of fresh air, and I sincerely say that I liked absolutely all the songs, each song has its own charm and its own story. The story of Kim Junmyeon. I'm so proud of him ㅠ
The album is simply brilliant, and Junmyeon's personality just shines in all the songs.
"O2" - has such an unusual sound, this song could compete with the title track in the album. A song that you want to listen to on a journey when the sun sets over the horizon and you feel a pleasant aftertaste of the past day. This song could be the ost to some movie. I love that part "My endless blue"💙
"Let’s Love" - started with "hey"😍such a beautiful song, sometimes dreamy, soft, like warm cocoa in the cold season. I love last part "you are my dream"😍 I want to gently sway to the beat and be sure to sing along sarang ne sarang. It is really significant that Junmyeon chose this song as the title one. Because we are one EXO SARANGHAJA!❤
"Starry night" - from the first seconds, I fell in love with this song😍 and now it is clearly my favorite, because I want to listen to it all the time. A beautiful song that makes you completely immerse yourself in it. A song I want to cry to, but these are tears that help get rid of the burden of emotions, sadness and longing. Listening to her, the soul will unravel the flowers and faith in the beautiful. I really want to run to this song carefree in the summer rain, as in childhood, to feel the warm sand on the evening beach after a hot day ... I want to dream for this song. Magical💫
"For You Know" - Junmyeon said that initially this song was supposed to be solo, but he decided to make a duet and this is a great decision. The voices of Junmyeon and Younha sound so harmonious and so pure.💞 A song that gives calm and comfort. All that Junmyeon wanted to convey with the help of this song, he successfully delivered. The song that I want to listen to before bed and to see beautiful dreams thanks to it.😴
"Self portrait" - I liked this song immediately, as soon as I heard it in Highlight Medley and my first impressions of listening to it were a complete delight. I really like the piano sound in the song, combined with Junmyeon's angelic voice. And I'm crazy about the chorus, such a strong transition after the verse. "There is no meaning without you"🥰
"Made in you" - such a beautiful and romantic text, and the sound of the verse is so light, airy. Listening to the chorus, you unwittingly start to sing along. This song amazingly reveals Junmyeon's vocal abilities and shows his voice color.❣
