One more I never heard of! Day One. WOW. I'm impressed with advancing technology everywhere. I'm a Nam Marine, but the gadgets and weapons the guys got today makes it seem as though we were cave men, fightin with knives and rocks! 😀Thanks for another great job. The conveyor blows my mind. Mike you are awesome. I am DYI and I've watched most of your videos - best on the UA-cam without a doubt. I have а request to you - would you make a video where you show the final result of broom finishes a few days after you have done it. I have bought all the equipment and have done some pouring, magging and broom finishing but the result is a bit rough. When it is still fresh looks like in your videos, but after a 10 day let say, it's look like rougher than I thought it would be. So it would be great if you can show us a closer look what it is look like when it is all done and dry.
You men do good work,. A lot of labor for that small sq, footage. Hope you charged enough! Looks very good. I need to look into that Day 1 finishing aide.

Excelentes trabajos!
Podrías poner subtitulos en español?
Saludos desde España.
Great work. I am really impressed with the attention to detail on the broom finish. I would hire you guys any day! 👍
Wow, thanks!
If you were in my area I would hire you and your crew in a heartbeat! Excellent work as always.
Thanks 👍
Cool job. Are there any videos on how they setup the forms for the bridge? Thanks
No, sorry.
Nice job.
Thanks John!
Thanks Mike. What do you recommend to both cure and then seal after finishing something like this?
For this, they use a penetrating sealer 30 days afterwards. It's called Salt Guard.
No expansion tool lines ? No sawing ?
My questions exactly.
Wasn't on the plan, that's why the rebar was 6" on center.
Grooming looked tricky, lots of extra moves on that one.
Yes there was!
What was used for the bottom form?
It was metal decking welded to steel beams
48 comments 12k views that makes no sense, mike im impressed w that job. btw i am posting a vid, i would love to get your input. great video
btw i do mention day 1, and we didnt have it and me and my dad got into it really bad
Sometimes YT makes no sense. Just keep putting in the work though.
Nice! Not sure of the depth of the deck but it should have been probably vibrated a little bit.
Your the first concrete guy I've seen on youtube pouring a bridge ,did you have too come back for saw cuts and seal it?
Cuts weren't on the plan, that's why the rebar was 6" on center. Sealing is up to the GC
I just poured at the airport. 5000 psi, its so sticky and seems ready to walk on within 15 minutes.
It does seem sticky, highest psi I ever poured was 10,000 psi. had to move fast with that!
Bridge slabs are structural. Should have vibrated to ensure consolidation.
Is that DAY 1 your invention ?
No, Lythic makes it. I get it here: www.superiorinnovationsinc.com/shop-2/lythic-day-1-ready-to-use-5-gallon-bucket
Day one rules. We use it for all the hard trowel finish we do on concrete skate parks
We dilute it down, and add it to water bottles. Spray it on and float/trowel it in.
Nice, thanks for the tip
So that day 1 stuff is just like antivap
