Sure, they carried guns and they fought, but in reality, most were not soldiers. They were farmers, ranchers, fur traders, sailors, preachers, clergy, trappers, shopkeepers, barkeeps... There was no unified national army that trained soldiers. Think about the folks drafted for Vietnam. Even as late as the 1970's, they were not soldiers. They had other professions and were picked to fight and die as needed.
Fun Fact: The war in Iraq and Afghanistan was the 1st all-volunteer force for the U.S.

School was never my forte : fact is I was an F student for years BUT I traveled a lot with my folks and I have a natural curiosity for many, things, countries and languages. I'm now proud of the results in geography and I can speak 5 languages fluently. @@mymaster416 I'm not American, I grew up with somewhat unbiased education in the third world, even to the point where history teachers were praising the good aspects of the third reich administration, I've seen videos of American schools and it scares me, teachers seem to be biased in every subject, from biology to history.
This is the result of parents leaving it up to schools to educate while at the same time the state makes it impossible for the average family to be self reliant. Seems like their plan is working, globalization will be the only option when these morans become 70% of the population. We are only at 50% in America lmao
