I legit teared up at that video, so much anger filled me up. These cops don’t have any accountability whatsoever. And we legally can’t defend ourselves against them.
This story played out a couple years ago across the street from me when my neighbor Charleena Lyles called the police for help because her abusive ex was trying to break in. The police shot and killed her in front of her children. She was a pregnant mother of 4. The police claimed they weren't issued tasers. It was deemed "justifiable." It's NEVER justifiable for big armed officers with bulletproof vests, they do not need deadly force to remain safe in the face of an older lady, all they had to do was remain calm. Back away, speak calmly. Wait until things calm down. But no. They reach, they point, they yell and bark orders, they panic ( remember the ACORN?!?!), and they shoot. Then they LIE.
Even if she was a bit off. He could have just backed up a bit and also they didn't need her ID at all. There was no reason for them to be in her house. He's getting second degree murder. Rebuke doesn't mean I'm going to kill you. "re·buke express sharp disapproval or criticism of (someone) because of their behavior or actions."
That wasn't racial, but it was criminal and a cop who doesn't have the temperament to help ppl. Cops aren't meant to protective and serve anymore but uphold the law.

He called there to check for a break in. She removed the pot to pour it in the sink where she walked to. He clearly tried to set it up to look like she was doing something because he turned his camera off. His co worker did not. It’s all there on the video. Y’all will literally try to justify anything to make the cops right. If she had any plans to throw hot water on them she would’ve met them at the door with the boiling pot🤔

If you actually watched the full video you would have some questions about her mental state. “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” With a pot of boiling water in your hand is not something the average person would say or do. The whole thing is very strange and it’s really fucked yo that she died. She was acting very, very strange.
Look at it in a spiritual sense. She was clearly devout follower of Jesus. She sensed on a deep level he was going to harm her. He knew it too. That's why she uttered the words most God fearing people do. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. But Jesus stood down and allowed the demon to take his victim.
the accused officer DID have his body camera on, and it shows that she threw boiling water on him, I'm not saying the cop was right to shoot her, but boiling water can cause serious bodily injury and death.
The cop shouldn't have killed her, but she did throw a pot of boiling hot water at the police officers. Don't pretend like she didn't do anything wrong. She did not deserve to die but she was not completely innocent either . This is why we need to do more for mental health illnesses in this country to help out people that have mental illnesses. So things like this don't happen to them. Since she suffered with schizophrenia, she should not have been living alone

None of this is accurate. She obviously tossed the whole pot of boiling water towards the officer…… which is a known way of melting someone’s Face Off in one motion. Poor lady needed better people in her life Before that tragic incident
You watch the video? She was literally told to grab it by the officers. They made her grab it. She wasn't near it till being asked, she was in her living room sitting down. Then when she grabbed it they started feeling threatened as if they didn't make her walk to a different room and pick it up for no reason.
