Everyone is curious about why I said I was skeptical about the hard candy highlighter due to the mineral oil. Mineral oil is a very harsh oil, & very inexpensive for a reason. it is known to cause rashes, dry skin, clogged pores & aging. People say that mineral oil has been linked to cancer. (dont quote me, thats just what i've heard. look it up for yourself) Mechanics use it when repairing cars. I personally dont want to put the same oil they use on cars, on my face. -----

I just feel like they were more informative on how to apply and her angles of filming here honestly are better for me to learn to re create like areas to apply each shade /brush strokes ect.. now all I see more then anything is just product pushing.. still love her tho either way :)

Thank you for this video! I have always shied away from contouring because I see so many different methods highlighting and countering so much of the face but this is light and easy and I will definitely be trying it.
Ahhh the good old days when you could rub things around with any brush, any pencil brush was ok, you could smoke things out with any smudgy brush, it didn't matter which blush brush you used cuz they're all the same and all these brands have the same brushes and any blending brush would do... now Morphe is the brush god.

Alex Mackay She said she can't use mineral oil in her highlighter...not eyeshadow. Mineral oil on the face can clog the pores.

Mineral oil used in car engines is Group 1 which is classified by WHO as carcinogenic, however mineral oil used in cosmetics is Group 3 which is refined and not carcinogenic. Further it does not cause clogged pores, as found by the AAD to be noncomedogenic. There are of course individual differences for everyone, but using the logic that say one person is allergic to peanuts therefore makes them deadly for everyone is pure fallacy.

I do them. Bh cosmetics has a lot of sales, and cheaper alternatives.
So not true. I do this tutorial. I just match the color to what I already have in my collection. I replace Garnet from the Lorac palette with the bronze color in the wet n wild Fergie Desert Festival palette. Replaced shroom with the brow bone color in the wet n wild walking on egg shells palette. Replaced the grease pencil with Maybelline color tattoo in pomegranate punk. I have the MUG colors used in this tutorial. They are super affordable and shipping is only $1.99.
well the point of a makeup tutorial is not that you HAVE to use the EXACT same products as the person making the tutorial .. like the others have said, you can simply use similar/the same colors that you either already have or can get for cheap... it's also meant to give you ideas and inspire you to try a different look
