Great work so far, i've run some trials and noticed that the composted briq's burn longer, steadier but wont heat as much as my normal briq's. They also have a slightly strange smell scince i dont use coffeegrounds. The conclusion to this might be burning either both briquettes types or overload the stove with the composted fuel. Im absolutley with you in terms of labour invested by making those briq's or balls in your case. Compaction isnt everything, i prefer fast production and longer drying time over short drying and slow production. In your case i found a quick solution to make the balls. Like fishers make the boilies - take a big silikonpistol or sausagefiller and press a long thick strain. then cut it into pieces. I've read an article about cideries who make firelogs from the apple pomace that is left after pressing the juice out. They burn very good. So keep an eye out for pomace to mix in 😂. Keep the wheels goin.
There's some great points in there. Got me thinking about silicone guns now. Excellent 👌 The Coffee ground do burn hotter if you can get some in the mix. My next mix is 50%Coffee Grounds, 50% Leaf compost. Should be good.
@@twcmaker yeah leaf compost might be great. Cant wait for your results in this. If you Look Up a boilie Roller you understand how to Form Balls Out of a Long pressed Strain. Im Sure you can even build the Form giving Roll Out of wood on a "turning bench?". Languagebarrier 😂? ah on a lathe??
Thought you'd like to know Briquettes now burn over 2 hours every time. Here's a link to my latest method ua-cam.com/video/BrUE1Hs82iQ/v-deo.html Have a wonderful day. Jamie

Do the oils from the coffee grounds not contribute to an increase in buildup of creosote in your stove pipes? I love the idea but just unsure if safe for chimneys
No. It's not about the oils at this stage, composted makes a huge difference. I swept my chimney last week and not surprised at all by how little comes from burning very dry wood and briquettes.
😂 Ohhhhh. I watched the video all the way through to see 'the bends' 😂 and obviously there weren't any. The curtain rail. Yes it took a while. Not easy at all, unless it's part of your job or at least a metalworker. Thank you for your comment. It really helps with the Algorithm. Thank you again. Jamie
you made it so the coffe/wood shaving arnt tightly packed so water can evaporate without breaking it, but if it was compact it would build preasure and fracture like the logs
Thank you. Latest video on Coffee briquettes is going crazy. It shows how I make my briquettes from Composted Coffee grounds and sawdust from my workshop. Have you subscribed too. It helps my channel out and helps grow a community interested in using waste for fuel. Jamie
They do a little. Not as much as you think though. Tip; put a little coffee and water on a jam jar lid on top of the stove it log burner. That's a wonderful way to get the Coffee aroma going. Thank you Jamie

Very nice job with those bends! That's hard to do, I've tried it:)
What bends?
@@twcmaker Odd, I thought I was commenting on the video where you installed a curtain rod. Sorry about that!

Hello! I’m a bit late but I was considering to use this for an outdoor bonfire. Would this produce a lot of smoke?
Hi. No it would be okay outside. But better with wood too.

Considering how many branches and logs are laying around on the ground in the woods, I can't see myself making reconstituted wood.
Ahhh well you're okay then 😂👍

how does it smell when burning? Like coffee?
