What I understand about what Tony is, and has been, saying is that it's not about looking at one aspect, it's about observing a combination of aspects: time, acts of service, respect, kindness, making you a priority, etc, and the key ingredient, consistency. Toni, this is truth. I had an ex where nothing was ever good enough. A nice meal and simple thoughtful gifts meant nothing. I was every "cheap a$$" in the book. Even our kids would do special things any parent would appreciate. It was never good enough. I applied those same beliefs to the next person and realized I was viewed as trying to outgive or outdo him. I hate that it was percieved that way. It was only because in my last relationship nothing was ever good enough. I feel sad and hope if this is the man God has for me that we can reconnect.

Tony this is so so so TRUE! I experienced a man that called me EVERYDAY for 3.5 months and we talked an hour plus every day. He carried a good conversation we laughed and really enjoyed each other....Oh and he was a successful Lawyer so his time was money. I couldn't understand how he was able to do it. EVERYDAY no breaks no ghost no games. I absolutely loved!

See on one hand talking every day for an hour over a month to three, a woman has fallen in love and caught feelings and most cases he’s a player or narcissistic. I find the talking every day and texting is a way for men to love bomb . I rather prefer the physical action of dates and spending time together as action speak louder than words. This is for the first time meeting or talking online with him. Time reveals all so by 30-60 days they tend to drop off. Dating is tricky as women we want to be open but men take advantage then a guy who is genuine ur cautious with. Not enough quality men/grown men around to practice healthy dating too many games and insecure people. When you do find this genuine guy take ur time but be open but still watch their actions and ask what’s their intentions are and see if his words and action are aligned .

Toni, this is truth. I had an ex where nothing was ever good enough. A nice meal and simple thoughtful gifts meant nothing. I was every "cheap a$$" in the book. Even our kids would do special things any parent would appreciate. It was never good enough. I applied those same beliefs to the next person and realized I was viewed as trying to outgive or outdo him. I hate that it was percieved that way. It was only because in my last relationship nothing was ever good enough. I feel sad and hope if this is the man God has for me that we can reconnect.
Be blessed. Don't knock the poor man from his role. Let him play his role and you play your role. Let him be the man and you be the woman appreciate him without try to do his work. Show your gratitude verbal and/or written. While you are dating, continue to invest in yourself consistently not just to attract him. Time and consistency!

Tony this is so so so TRUE! I experienced a man that called me EVERYDAY for 3.5 months and we talked an hour plus every day. He carried a good conversation we laughed and really enjoyed each other....Oh and he was a successful Lawyer so his time was money. I couldn't understand how he was able to do it. EVERYDAY no breaks no ghost no games. I absolutely loved!

Never want a man not able to take care of himself. No finance...no romance! I'm a manager at McDonalds and stay on my grind for our kids. I had to kick him out because he showed me he wasn't growing or even willing to grow. He wasn't expecting me to flip my script. It's just sad I invested 8 years thinking we was gonna be a power couple. I was the power couple. So now I am working so hard to find my femininity again. After being masculine for so long. He is a part time Roofer. You had me laughin laughin when you said McDonalds was always hiring! He has only ever had under the table jobs. Nothing ever on the books and consistent. I snipped him! It’s so hard to listen to this when I know I made that mistake with a man who was ready to give me everything and waited 10 years and I screwed up because I thought that I needed to give something for everything he did for me and that something I can’t take back, I went against my own standards and now everything is just a mess. He doesn’t see my worth anymore or he treats me like any other girl out there and I finally found my strength and I can’t be with someone who treats me like that (both of us aren’t getting what we want and it’s my fault) so now I have start over again and maintain my standards.... some harsh lessons. 😢

See on one hand talking every day for an hour over a month to three, a woman has fallen in love and caught feelings and most cases he’s a player or narcissistic. I find the talking every day and texting is a way for men to love bomb . I rather prefer the physical action of dates and spending time together as action speak louder than words. This is for the first time meeting or talking online with him. Time reveals all so by 30-60 days they tend to drop off.
Dating is tricky as women we want to be open but men take advantage then a guy who is genuine ur cautious with. Not enough quality men/grown men around to practice healthy dating too many games and insecure people. When you do find this genuine guy take ur time but be open but still watch their actions and ask what’s their intentions are and see if his words and action are aligned .
In this life!, If he doesn't have a job/some type of job.. FACE IT, he's a growing boy!!!

Possible but not likely. That’s why it’s important to abstain from sex, dishing out lavish treatment/money, like Toni said, until time reveals the man’s intentions. Toni is speaking in general terms. There are always exceptions. A man who is interested during the dating phase, will at the very least, offer his time consistently. That’s just the starting point. It’s not the only indicator on whether the man is right for you.
