I am a Queenslander born and bred, never saw snow until my early 50's, since then I have experienced it in UK, Canada, NZ and Switzerland and once at Mt Buller in Victoria Aussie. Next time you think about the snow, just remember where you are now in winter; and you won't miss the experience of cold, slush, sleet, rain multiple layers of clothes and thank God for the paradise you reside in.
Simply amazing, this is what life is all about and you guys are really living it to the fullest, thank you for sharing and cheers from Switzerland (French Alps) where you should definitely come and have a sniff at our winters, European style, quite magic especially on a snowboard chasing a cheese fondue amongst many other culinary treats. Best to you guys
If you plan the time right, California Tahoe area would be prime. You can surf and ski in the same day. And you can do some epic fishing. Another region would be anywhere in the Rocky Mountains. Again some fly fishing, camping, and skiing can all be had in either Colorado or Wyoming! And the snow in all three locations is epic!
Someone posted the other day... if you slightly steam the cray/lobster a few seconds on each side, it whitens the thinnest outer later and releases from the shell
I was born and raised in the tropical island of Mauritius and moved to Vancouver Canada. Australia has good snow resort in NSW. Falls creek is a nice place to have a winter snow experience in my opinion. If every you are visiting Canada, I would recommend to Whistler Resort, for a proper experience. Innterms of clothing, you need to have double layers , nice winter boots and jacket up to -25.
Early as hell damn! Love you guys and your upbeat content. Keep on doing back to basics shit ya legends! Also forgot to add, CONGRATS ON 1 MILLION SUBS!!!!!
Az if you want to keep things cheap, just had to the south island of New Zealand to see some snow. I just ate some fish and chips before watching this, and you guys still made me hungry.
Sorry guys, not a king mackerel, (but kind of only because of where they are). The two species look very similar, but they are different species. Scomberomorus commerson is Australia’s Spanish mackerel. Scomberomorus cavalla is America’s king mackerel. But yes, those two look really similar. America’s Spanish mackerel is Scomberomorus maculatus. All three are basically cousins. Buuut, just to confuse things, S. commerson is often called a king mackerel in South Africa. Local names can certainly cause confusion.
For a newcomer to snow; I would suggest Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The winters are milder and you can venture up the mountains for the snow experience.
About the snow question, being a Canadian, I suggest you go to British Columbia. Or the Rocky Mountains. It does get quite cold here though!!🍁❤️ Lots of ski hills if that’s what you’re looking into!
I live on outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland. Believe me when I say I've seen my share of snow. Love the stuff but it can be dangerous. Something's definitely changing with the weather. Over the last 20 years it has been really noticeable. We don't see snow every winter now. It's Jst cold and wet, rain, rain and more rain. Not nearly as fun.
MISS Mud Crab - Your a freeking legend... Love to see the girls holding our own fishing and crabbing and lobster catching!!! Id say the awesome 3some is back but that sounds wrong... Thanks for my ocean fix!!! Love it
Its like a behemoth playground made of pure art. I would have a permanent smile on my face, i'd probably look like a lunatic. Beautiful. P.S Snow is a must. What about France, Sweden or Austria? U will love snow mate.
During the very early 1970's when I was young boy of 5 years of age, Australian cray was considered bait only and not fit human consumption, so I've told by mum. Live cray of the size that you guys caught in video were worth approx 10 to 15 cent each.
Love these vids, would love to see a colab between yourself and either the Outdoor boys or Youngbloods with Brodie since yal are nearly neighbors. Keep up this content bud and thank you!!
if you want to torture yourself with weather, come to Nebraska in the summer, temps regularly hitting 40C with massive thunderstorms producing the largest tornadoes on earth and hail stones as large as a softball, and then come back 6 months later in the winter, and temps regularly hit -40C, where snow stays on the ground (at low altitude, mind you) for weeks or a couple months simply because the average temps are so far below freezing the whole time! we have one of the largest temperature swings in the world. day-to-night high-to-low temps can be as much as 40F difference from the cold of night to the warmth of day, and then back down again.
PNW - Pacific North West of US, or even alaska, might be a good spot to fit your thrill and content type. Plenty of outdoors stuff to do, mountains, forests, crazy coastlines and wildlife.
Love watching you mate. If I was younger, I would come visit you down under. You keep me going on my channel to be as good as yours hopefully one day mate. Peace. Stay safe out there.
If you want to experience Canadian Ice fishing, sleeping out on the ice, driving a snowmobile, cross country skiing, driving a fat bike in the snow, this is your official invitation to visit Alberta Canada. Yes, we can host you and handle all the local logistics and shopping for appropriate clothing. (Mark)
Remember picking you up at the Brisbane airport few times The first time you told me what you were up to, me thinking WTF he's dreaming well how wrong l was over the years of picking you up. I realized you were on a mission. You spoke to me about getting into mainstream TV. And the losers you had to deal with. Well look at you now respect mate . Westy.
I’m not a fan of winter either …. I hate the cold …. I’ve lived in US States with and without winter ❄️….. the ones without… you live much better …. Longer fishing season and hunting …. I love summer fishing even though winter is better in warmer places for fishing 🎣 winter in GA is 60 plus degrees in its coldest month of January…. That is absolutely beautiful

Come to northern Minnesota, USA and go winter camping with sled dogs!
In the US Alaska or Maine. If you just want to experience snow just go to anywhere in Canada not sure about the fishing though
Come to Whistler bc near Vancouver in January or February. You can fly direct from Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. It is very expensive here though.
that 1st Lobster/Cray in intro is easily a $500 to $1000 in China!.Or maybe even in Sydney!.
For winter come to Ottawa ,Ontario ,Canada in February.
Wherever you go in the snow, you're gonna pack a little "gear" for your "extras" ;)
B2B should do southern GBF (mission beach and head south) with 2 white boats
Looks amazing
