    The most important skill is "How to think"

    • @Tux0xFF
      @Tux0xFF 2 роки тому +6

      How to think is the initial phase of solving a problem, the rest is googling, are you going to create a load balancer from scratch or your own framework to handle authentication, routing etc?

    • @Maniac-007
      @Maniac-007 Рік тому +2

      @@Tux0xFF hence, googling is the 2nd most important skill. Without proper thinking skills u can’t find the most optimal implementation or method for the solution.

    I think the most hard part is coming with a new Idea.
    Programing is a lot like a tool that helps materialisert the idea

    it's GRIT, peristence, you have to be willing to spend whatever time and frustration it takes to get the "one little piece" that is not working to work. Because almost every piece is crittical to a program working.

    like training to be a chef and serving fast food because its cheaper. no thanks!
    The hardest thing in programming is Neuroplasticity. That is changing the way you think to solve problems. That's why practice breeds competency, not just spoon feeding from a science degree.
    Programming is mental engineering, except there are no physical spanners, screwdrivers and hammers
    Most of the programmers today use APIs, frameworks, libraries, google, stack-overflow and high-level languages.
    C, its descendants and variation still used in industry
    Assembly language - still used
    many other newer languages were originally written in these languages.
    That's why they are about 30% of the skill of programmers of yesteryear, who had to code all of it from ground up. There was a time you couldn't use someone else's code. No google. No stack-overflow.
    Not saying it was the good old days. It was painful , but at-least you owned the whole thing.
    Same as the trend in cloud. The west has become so dumbed down in many ways. Gratification without the perspiration. This is one reason it is so easy to de-platform, and the woke left has taken many things over.
    The five golden apps that drove the micro-computer industry and cause the boom was
    Word,Excel,Powerpoint, database, paint (And other versions/improved thereof)
    Never been bettered, All new software either borrows, uses, copies these five in tech design in some way. Why? because these programs addressed real world problems at the coal-face.
    The internet is simply a big disassociated database with various views and ways to access the information within.
    I agree that to get a job today that's what companies scream out for. This is why they are all heading for a big crash and takeover.when it comes. Every one is selling hamburgers unfortunately, just with different toppings. Moving data around and showing it in a different way
    Does anyone realise that our modern world of 2022 is based significantly on formulae and ideas created about 100 years ago. We pat ourselves on the back, but most of the education halls and their graduates, cannot hold a candle to the engineers of 100 years ago and longer.
    The world has been selling and recycling burgers for many years now.
    AI is the the real new break through and even that was envisaged in the last century.
    The scary thing is, when AI is complete, all these languages and programming jobs will cease overnight. Because essentially the reason for them was to provide a communication bridge between man and machine. Once the machine can understand itself and build from its ID, we are all doomed.
