I wake up each day appreciating that I live HERE!!!
yep don't blame you.
@@TampaAerialMedia Did you have to get a special permit to fly in fort desoto Park? I asked this question because according to state statute it is illegal to fly drones inside of state parks.
Florida Administrative Code 5I-4.003 // 2016
This state code prohibits drones on managed lands, including Florida state parks and forests, except at a runway or a helispot and only with authorization from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
@Terry Beernaert you sure are blessed. I live in Wisconsin and can't take winter anymore. I'm jealous
I moved to Palm Harbor and came back to Missouri. I did love the feeling of Florida. Very hot in the pm.
@@christinemarlo5672 why did you move back ? I hope one day to be living there. Wisconsin weather bite's
Brings back memories. My maternal grandparents had their house custom built right on Tampa Bay side, on 4th Street south., in St. Pete. They had their own beach. I remember our whole family, climbing into Grandpa's Winnebago, and heading to Fort Desoto State Park. Swimming, grilling. That was back in the 70's, before the new Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The sandspurs were ouch, but the fun was unforgettable. At my grandparent's house, us kids would swim, and dolphins would come right up to us. I still have the Starfish & Sand-dollars we collected off of the sandbars during low tide. Gosh, those were the best days! I can't believe how much St. Pete Beach has changed. Thank you for the trip down memory lane!
yep I remember the old Skyway Bridge. St Pete has changed alot since then
Hopefully you weren't taking live creatures from the sea.
I grew up on 17th ave n. In St Pete in the 50s and 60s. Yankees @ at Al Lang field and the Cards spring baseball. Rode our bikes to the beaches. Best fresh and salt water fishing in the world. No better place to grow up.
yep Al Lang field has some great history.
Beaches opening up 7am Monday May 4th. Parking lots will be open, but still practice safe distancing. Time to take advantage of the Anti-Viral Vit D Properties of the Sun in a salt-water environment.
No way
shit man ,, all our causways and honeynoon island been rocking for past 3 months..lol you allz behind a lil..lol im glad you caught up now
Love living here. Best place in United States.
Native 🙋♂️ agree 100%
I'll be moving here soon! I'm excited! Is there any beach etiquette i should know about?
Now u kno dats a lie 😂😂😂 Florida still crazy as hell no matter where u at!! I kno born and raised in Florida
How is it different from Miami or California? I am seriously curious and would love to know the reasons and tips! Thanks!
No way, great in oct Nov Feb March and April. You can have the rest
I love living in Tampa, everything is close and definitely the best beaches of Fl, Clearwater and St Pete beach!!
Yep me too. Those 2 beaches are always in the top 5, sure beats CA.
I think the Florida panhandle says otherwise 30A, Destin, Pensacola and Panama City beaches are always rated right up there with the South Florida Beaches!!!
I'm not talking bad about Tampa because I actually love it there but the panhandle doesn't get enough credit.
If U got the cash to live there, great but some of us dont have that privilege, the job market is awful in that area.
@@MeltinJohn So true! Florida is low pay for sure. Lived there many years.
I worked housekeeping at the Son Cesar in the 80s. The penthouse suite I recall because of the terrace. I lived on Sunset Beach then 32 years in downtown St. Pete. The parks, beaches are wonderful, Ft. DeSoto, I retired to New Mexico but miss the water tremendously
This video is 1 year old but still captures the beauty of Florida. Makes me want to book my vacation right away 🏖
St. Pete Beach is wonderful. Been going there since a kid!
I went there yesterday and the beach at Fort de soto is one of the most beautiful beaches i ever seen and it was clowdy.
Cloudy
Very nice, my family lived in Clearwater Florida for 2 years ...about 10 years ago, amazing beaches!
I lived on Treasure Island in the late 70s. This is a beautiful show of the area in every way. Cameras and drone footage are top notch! When I lived there, Sunset Beach north tip was vacant...great place for dogs to run and play.
Thankyou for the feedback, very much appreciated.
Excellent video, well done. We absolutely LOVE Caddy's on the Beach in Treasure Island!!! We stumbled upon it while in and had dinner right on the beach ... live music, great drinks, magician and fire twirler ... great time! The kid's meals came on frisbees which they got to keep. Not too mention tons of beach frontage ... can't wait to go back!
Thankyou for the nice words.
My hometown. As a kid, I used to ride my bike to the Aquatarium. Good times.
This is an awesome & extremely informative video & i must say i really enjoyed watching every minute of it!
Thats great to hear, thankyou for taking the time to let us know.
Yes a promenade like what they have at Clearwater Beach would be nice!
I just love this whole area!😍
Yes I have to admit, even during this crises, it is nice to have sun and blue skies, and great water scenery.
I love this video with descriptions and the directions for somebody who's not familiar with this area great video
Thankyou for the nice words.
Thanks for these great videos of my home state. I miss it so much! One day we’ll be back!
Here I am again watching all your new videos. You make the best pure "city tour" videos on UA-cam imho. Hands down. Such a good mix of shots and Info. The stuff people looking to visit or relocate ACTUALLY want to see. Keep up the good work!! Only possible critique is at one part you highlighted like 5 resorts in a row and maybe could have mixed it up some instead. And possibly throw in more "Montagey" portions where you show quick shots of popular shops/restaurants/locAtions that you don't have time do full breakdowns on, but are popular and/ or visually appealing. But just an idea. But seriously , I LOVE your videos.
Thankyou for the feed back, yea I think you make a good point, it is good to mix it up alittle. I aapreciate it.
I really enjoyed this video very much. It was very informative and helped with my plans when I visit St. Pete Beach!
Very much enjoyed your video. The aerial views were amazing. Anyone with intentions of coming to St. Pete Beach for vacation or a wedding would be well informed of the best places to stay and visit by watching this. I look forward to watching your other videos.
Thankyou for the feedback, much appreciated.
Love this place. I was just there 10 days ago. Already miss it.
Great video, thanks for the tour! Will check out some of your tips!! ☀️🚴♀️🏊♂️🌴
My favorite place. I have to cancel my trip in May. Don CeSar, I will miss you ❤
Too bad. I think in May we will be getting back to normal.
Beaultiful place! Good Memories!
Thanks for the trip to my home town. Truly miss living there!!
The “Undertow” was a great beach bar in 2003 -2005! Lived in Tampa and hung out at St. Pete beach on the weekends. Enjoyed my time there
Yep, loved it, especially when they still served food. Now if you want food, best option is to get it from from Smiley's, next door - www.yelp.com/biz/smileys-snack-shack-st-pete-beach
@@ericwes7351 Indeed. Smiley's and The Undertow are under the same ownership.
St Pete Beach No 1 for me
My home for 15 years...love it...I worked on the Starlite Sapphire bartending for a while..definitely the best views
Thanks for sharing, yep that certainly gives you the best views of the St Pete Beach Area.
Bongos and Spinners, good times brotha! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Love the video you made put a big smile on my face but also made me miss it even more!
I travel here most September's from the UK, unfortunately this year was called off. The place is amazing as well as the people and I hope I can make it next year.
It's my happy place. :D
Thankyou, always great to see our good friends from across the pond.
Im going here it a couple if days im so excited
I used to live in Dunedin Florida thank you thank you so much for these beautiful videos especially since I live in frozen tundra of Michigan 🥶 God bless you continue the great work 🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
Thankyou for the nice words. Yep Michigan is great during the summer.
I have lived here for 20 years now, I came to the country back in 1997 and without ever been here before, I picked this city to live and I am so glad I did ! I Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Well said!
Good choice!
Excellent Aerial video of the beaches and Fort Desoto.
Thankyou for the nice words
I was down there in Feb for the first time from Nashville. I stumbled on a kite festival on Treasure Island that was awesome after I went to see the Don Cesar Hotel. You filmed the very area I was at the BilMar walk. Had some wonderful food at a Maikel's Kitchen closer into Tampa. Would love to come back!
Come on back!
Loved this... I've only been to St Pete Beach once, a long time ago, but absolutely loved it. We went in the Hurricane in Pass-a-Grille, and remember a restaurant on Treasure Island called Captain Kosmakos 😁😁😁
Thankyou Daz, will be doing new videos of this area this winter
You guys are awesome...thank you so much for such incredible video..loved the 2020 Clearwater Beach video to start the year...Thank you....maybe Amelia Island next?
Thankyou for the nice words, yea I hadn't thought of Amelia Island, but we do want to do Jacksonville this summer so we will look at including Amelia Island with that video, thanks for the tip.
I am so happy to be living in this new city being from the midwest/east coast.
This was another amazing tour, my friend! You always rock it!!
Thankyou Mike
Best holiday I've been on St Pete's about 6 years ago staying on Ocean boulevard....highly recommended the Under Tow beach bar on Ocean boulevard...
We used to come to St, Pete Beach every May when I was growing up. For years, we stayed at the Coral Reef, but in 1981, my grandfather died, and the Reef was starting to go timeshare. So, we moved next door, to the Alden for the rest of our stays. Across Gulf Blvd, on the bay, my grand parents had a condo, so we'd get to sped time with them when they wintered there. So many good memories on St Pete Beach.
I have stayed at both the Coral Reef and the Alden, both great places!
We recently stayed at the Alden Suites and it’s right on the beach. Loved it. Nothing fancy, but still very nice and had everything we needed for a lovely vacation.
I grew up near the Alden and had great times!
Was at treasure island resort back in November. Nice.
My fondest memories as a kid were traveling 10 hours from Tennessee to go to St. Pete Beach. You can't forget the pink hotel. Not to mention Merry Pier. That was our fishing spot. There was a body found when we were there back in the 90s. I still have the VHS with my mom standing in the background while they had the news crew recording on the scene. I remembered a lot of things like Pass-a-Grill having an underground bar and a full walking balcony at the hotel we stayed. My parents would slip my sis and I some deep-fried mushrooms from that bar. Those were the best ever! I went back 20 years later. Still, as I remembered. Beautiful sunsets as always. Not much changed except the shoreline which shrunk. Our family eventually started going to Clearwater. I am surprised they called St. Pete Beach 2nd best beach. I would have ranked Clearwater, Destin, or PCB way above it.
PCB ????
@@bebetigre1252 , Panama City Beach
The swigwam was my favorite!
Best location in the Nation.... Spent many vacations at TradeWinds & The Grand Plaza ..... Floridian from 89-01..... Missing it every day since .....
Yep the Tradewinds is really great, there is alot to do on property
We were in Treasure Island last week and stayed at Sunset Chateau a ocean front complex. It was amazing!
Great suggestion, thanks for sharing
Always wanted to go to Don Cesar hotel. Looks magnificent.
Love this so much! Thank you💋
Been visiting the area for over a decade now. Booked 2 condos for the first 2 weeks in July this year. Hopefully this virus is under control by then and we get back to the beach!
Sounds amazing!
Or you can just stay where you are...
big hotels canceled all their firework displays already so i'm sure fellow locals will be going quite ham with those beach acesses with their own fireworks
If you ended up going, how cautious was the area in terms of social distancing/masks?
@@pastaholic people are waiting there to piss in your mouth.. don't go
Been too long! Been visiting annually since 1984! Looking forward to being back soon
SOOOOO Beautiful !!! going there now !!
How is it now during quarantine? Are the beaches open or what did you do during the day?
Beautiful production..... Thank You👍🏾
Thankyou for the nice words.
Just found this, really enjoyed your work. I passed it on and Subscribed. From Indiana.
Great to have you on board, thanks for sharing.
My favourite place on the planet just beating Antibes in the french Rivera. Tradewinds is just magic, walking up and down the beach checking out the bars is real living
Yea The Tradewinds does have a great atmosphere. I like the fact there is plenty of shade when it gets too hot on the beach.
So happy to live here permanently. Real PARADISE, especially for the seniors.
Kids too!
We were in that specific area a month or so ago. Loved our stay and had pleasant times... Coronavirus forced us to an early return northbound!
Thanks for sharing, you'll have come back onces all this Pandemic stuff is over.
Back at it again with the great videos!
Thankyou for the nice words.
I haven’t been there in years and sure do miss it I mean Pass-A-Grille, Tarpon Spring
Expectacular gracias 👍
Lindo vídeo e boa sorte
Glad you included the Don Cesar, a magnificent place to stay or eat, and the sunset from the rooftop lounge you featured at the other resort is great as well. I prefer the city of St Pete for living, as the beach can be very crowded, though Pass-a-Grille is great. Friends of my parents lived in Treasure Island and they liked it a lot. The beaches are great, lots of recreational opportunities (I love Ft DeSoto Park), but I like culture, too, which is why I prefer St Pete, or Sarasota, or Tampa for living, while St Pete Beach is a vacation paradise.
yep that is a accurate evaluation, thanks for sharing.
@@TampaAerialMedia One other thing I meant to mention, since you included South Pasadena near the end. There is a Community Church there where I went to my first drive-in church service - very Florida! The last time I was in S. Pasadena, my friends from Pinellas Park took me to a great British pub, where the food was great and people could play darts. Cannot recall the name off the top of my head, but will have to Google it and see if it is still around (this was about 1997).
I love living here so much.
I thought per a national survey St. Pete has one of the most depressed residents in the country is this something you have heard of and if so why
First time in over 30 years I haven’t been down for March break. Hope to see you in July!!!!!
Beautiful will have to visit one day
Definitely!
America the beautiful ! love it
My parents lived in Treasure Island…..I loved it down there……
Nice trip, can't wait to travel there
you will love it, it is now rated as #1 beach in US by Trip Advisor for 2021
I lived on Snell Isle in St. Petersburg for several years. Best years of my life. Worked for Maas Brothers ((1st Avenue and 3rd Street North) and Montgomery Ward on 34th Street.
Yep Snell Isle is such a beautiful area, although does flood very often.
My dad helped open that Maas Bros.!
I've been looking for a rental in Clearwater. Before maybe looking south, I'm glad I got to visit the beach here once. I'm sorry there's no time to visit the beach in St. Pete.
My favourite place to visit, been coming here for over 30 years, surprising in the video they didn't have the number one beachbar in Florida for a number of years and that is Jimmy bs at the Beachcomber hotel, best place for nightly bands and sunset cocktails
I liked this one too♥️♥️♥️
The best cuban sandwiches at Barracuda deli cafe. A must while your in St Pete Beach.
Good reccomendation.
Love living here! People are flocking!
Love St Pete and Don Cesar
My happy place
Treasure island and all the beaches surrounded
Thunderbird Motel!
I recently visited St Pete beach and it is beautiful
How did you like it
Grew up going there. Lots of wonderful memories!
vacationed at treasure island for the past 10 years from the uk fantastic area.
yep St Pete Beach gets alot of people for the UK. Hope Boris is feeling better.
Maybe make it permanent?
Love living on florida
St. Pete Beach itself is dumpy af! It’s stuck in the 70’s. It doesn’t get nice until you get to Sand Key. The Sand Key Marriott on down to Clearwater is amazing and so beautiful.
I absolutely loved the drive from Clearwater to Tampa along the coastline with all the side stops in the area right before you get into Tampa. They make such amazing use of such beautiful scenery.
St Pete Beach just got voted #1 Beach in the country by Trip Advisor.
@@TampaAerialMedia - That’s why I posted this comment. It doesn’t make any sense. It’s not worthy of #1! It’s a dump and full of ignorant fools that don’t wear masks.
