    Thanks for sharing your thoughts Aaron! I spent so much time searching the internet about what wheel size to get when you are starting with trials. Ended up going with the Hex. I love the bike. Still in the beginning and can’t do impressive tricks but I am loving it, and your channel is definitely helping me to learn! Also, so true about the bars, I had to replace them to the Inspired team bars.

      Right on! I’m so glad this channel has been helpful, and regardless of Fourplay or Hex, I think both bikes are great setups to get rolling on. I mean, when I started, I was on an XC bike, so I guess it could be worse! 😂

    Awesome Video!!! I already have the Inspired Flow 24 (2019) in purple. Although I am very interested in the Inspired Fourplay Pro or Team. So thank you very much. I appreciate your experience. It was very helpful. I am now sure that I will buy the Inspired Fourplay. Cheers :) .

    really nice explaination and sharing... I may not have an inspired bike but I will be stucked on 24 inches due to my height. I do miss the weight of an aluminum frame but I couldn't spent more on bikes so i ended up on steel frame. Overall, I learned a lot from you Master Lutze and keep up this page... You rock!

    Nice review. Love my Hex. Bought it from Tarty Bikes and they had threaded the brake line through the steerer tube for me (I also hate bleeding brakes!). Now I'm eyeballing a 26" comp trials bike.

      I’m so anxious to ride a Hex, I sometimes wish I would have started with that - but happy to have given 24” a solid run. Which comp bike are you looking at??

      @@SuperRiderTV The Jitsie Varial Race 1085. To be honest, I'm just picking it based on (1) looks (it looks so long and low!), and (2) knowing that it's a race spec bike without a carbon front fork means that I don't have to mess with upgrading components or breaking a carbon fork. But part of me says it's dumb to buy this bike because I'm still pretty new to trials (just one year in). But I'm also short on time, so for me, buying a top spec bike and keeping it forever is more ideal than upgrading as I go. I feel like the price is right (about what I spent on my Hex) and it's far less than what I'd spend on a mountain bike these days. I'll let you know if I snag it - if I do, it'll likely be around Christmas-time / January.

    Self-releasing pedals? Apply blue loctite to the threads then tighten up to torque. The “glue” stops vibration and flex starting the loosening process. Do not use the red loctite around alloy parts. The red’s gluing power is too strong so instead of the glue failing when you remove the fastening it can pull some alloy off.

    I have ridden Hex 26” and Fourplay 24”. The 24” is a better bike IMO. It rides much better in parks and has more of that BMX style, while being a trials bike. The 26” is too long and doesn’t manual and ride park as well.

    Hi! I'm trying to learn the very basics on an old stumpjumper. I searched for info about bar and stem setup and couldn't find it. I am about your height. Do you know how high and forward your hands are compared to the BB? It would give me an idea of where to go if I change stem or current bar. Thanks!

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  3 роки тому

      I’m about to film a full 27.5” trials video, and the bar I’m using on there is an 80mm rise Deity bar. I don’t know the BB geometry specifically, but the main point is that you want to max out your leverage over the wheels, and the 80mm rise bars seem to do the trick. I use the same handlebar setup on my street trials bike!

  • @maxspl153
    @maxspl153 3 роки тому +1

    i bought the pink one about a year ago now . its very weird coming from a BMX background though. does the bars really make that much of a difference? im a little over 6 feet tall and it does seem like i have to lean forward and my body is over the front mass of the bike rather than set back ( where im gathering that trials pretty much live ) how would changing the bars effect the way it feels?

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  3 роки тому +1

      Highly recommend that you switch to an 80mm rise bar, it’ll give you a lot more leverage over the bike - both front and back wheel balance points. Bunnyhops are easier and you’ll have a bit more room to move around on the bike overall. Unless you got the Team edition instead of the Pro? The Fourplay Team comes with an 80mm bar.

      @@SuperRiderTV thank you for the info ! I got the pro model , with the MT7 's , steer tube routing , and just put on some continentals today. I had no idea about the bars making that big of a difference between the 2 . I would have gotten the team . I will definitely look into that next. I did however roll my bars back a little , and plan on trying out the adjustment at the indoor park tomorrow. I would have never thought to adjust or change them if it wasn't for you . Thanks again 🤙

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  3 роки тому +1

      Right on - the Inspired Arcade bars are the ones most people get, but I use the Deity High Side 80mm bars. They’re easier to get and have the exact same rise/sweep. Have fun!

    • @guitaroidman524
      @guitaroidman524 3 роки тому +1

      I have a 2017 Fourplay Team that came with the arcade risers and a 90x35 stem. I'm 5'11 and I felt that I was also a little to far over the front of the bike, so I bought a 110x35 stem and its made all the difference. For pure trials moves it's amazing.

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  3 роки тому +1

      That’s a great call, I can imagine adding a longer stem made quite the positive difference! I’m switching to a Hex for next year, might try a longer stem on that to see if it makes a positive change there, too.

    Nice review Aaron! As already commented in another video of yours, I have exactly the same bike, and despite the fact I am just a beginner in bike trials, I am glad to hear that some of my sensations and choices are indeed shared with you! After riding some months with the stock handlebars, I decided to switch to a 100mm-rise handlebars (I chose Extention's carbon handlebars), and I feel much better with them! All moves on the back wheel feel easier and more natural.
    On a separate note, I would be very curious to test how a Hex rides... I am not a big guy (175 cm), do you think a Hex is appropriate also for riders of this size?
    Keep up the excellent work! 💪

      @SuperRiderTV  3 роки тому

      Thanks!! I’m so glad we’re on the same page with our impressions of the bike. I definitely want to get my hands on a Hex in the near future to try for myself - and I think you’d be fine on it. I’m 180cm and I previously rode only 26” for street and competition trials bikes.

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  4 місяці тому

      Yeah, Tarty - shipping bikes from the UK added quite a bit, and then you get to pay customs tax on top of that. There are some US shops now, but that cost is still factored in.
